Thanks! I'm happy about the huge progression the team has made in these three seasons with all the players that have come in. My only player in the starting XI who is rated under 80 is Wanyama and that's a position I'm looking to improve in the transfer window. I'm expecting there to be more big deals this summer.

The press conference is meant to be a bit cocky because that's the way I'm trying to make Ganchev look. Really confident and he says what he wants, a bit hot-headed too.

Recap: Only the second time this season that we score 4 goals and the first time since our 4th game of the season at Crystal Palace. Dominating from start to finish. It was awesome.

        League Match 23

Recap: So 16 league games went by between the times I scored 4 goals and then I accomplished the feat in back-to-back games. Amazing. Once again it was total domination and you could tell the lads were starting to believe in themselves that their form isn't a fluke and they are capable of playing at this level.

Recap: oh c'mon, stop it. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? What a breakout performance for these guys against one of the top teams in the league. I just don't have the words to describe how great they were in this game. This is probably the best form this team has had since his career started.

Recap: Closing out the first month of 2017 with a convincing win against a top-4 team in the league. Collins is simply on fire, I'll expand on that below.

        FL Championship Standings
        1. QPR - 72pts
        2. Stoke City - 60pts (31 GP)
        3. Dagenham - 59pts
        4. Hull City - 59pts (31 GP)
        5. Crystal Palace - 59pts
        6. Derby County - 57pts

        ...
        22. Ipswich Town - 24pts
        23. Doncaster - 18pts
        24. Bournemouth - 12pts

WOW. The Daggers have not lost a game since late October when Wolverhampton stole a 1-0 win from our place. What an amazing run we've had and we're back in pole position for direct promotion to the BPL. More importantly, we have put together a BPL-worthy roster and we're playing like we belong in the highest level of competition that England has. We just need to finish off this season strong. The resurgence of this team isn't possible without the work of my top 4 guys: Medy Elito (RM), Yordy Reyna (LM), James Collins (RS), and Alex Nimely (LS), plus in certain way the kid Fernando Monzon (CAM) has also been a key contributor since coming back from injury. Collins is taking the cake as far as scoring is concerned as his 19 goals in all competitions lead the team and put him on track to surpass the 21 goals Josh Scott scored for us two seasons ago. But even at the top of Scott's performances at that time he never really had sidekick playing at his level. Nimely is doing that with 13 goals and 10 assists in all competition. Reyna, who scored 20 goals last season, is now at 11 with 9 assists and just won back-to-back Player of the Month awards. Elito isn't far behind with 9 goals and 9 assists and the winter transfer window saw the front office receive endless transfer requests for him. Did the team captain get sent somewhere else? Let's check it out.

TRANSFERS IN: Nicola Leali (GK, ?? OVR), agreed to pre-contract for 4 years at $35K in wages. Ramiro Caseres (ST, ?? OVR), agreed to pre-contract for 4 years at $6K in wages.

TRANSFERS OUT: Xabi Lopez (CDM, 60 OVR) and Emilio De Mesquites (CM), loaned to Crewe Alexandra for the rest of the season. Fabian Torres (CAM, 70 OVR), sold to Real Zaragoza for $1.9 million.

HELL NO. I will admit I'm guilty of hanging on to my guys too much but I just couldn't part ways with Elito when he's been so instrumental to the team's success and more importantly the team doesn't currently have a replacement for him. The other guy who was heavily sought was Collins but of course I didn't sell him either. Leali will compete with Schober for the starting GK spot next season with the loser most likely getting shipped out. Caseres will compete for a backup spot at striker. Torres has progressed tremendously since being promoted from the youth squad but his low stamina (37), which never improved, was going to keep him from being more than a bench player for us so the sale was a great move for us.

As far as the academy is concerned there have been no recent additions since no scouts have been sent out and it's possible no more scouts will be sent out this season. Here is our youth squad:
        • Memnos Zindilis (RW, 55-59 OVR, 80-86 POT): 17-year old from Greece who brings speed to the table. While we still trying to determine whether he's a better fit as a wing midfielder or as a striker in our 4-4-2 diamond wide, we're also aware that his age will force him up to the senior squad sooner than we would like. Still, we're hopeful that he'll stay in the academy until the end of the season.
        • Raffaele Molinaro (CM, 59-63, 79-85): 16-year old from Italy described as technically gifted. If promoted right now he wouldn't be more than a role player but he could be a solid contributor next season if he stays in the academy this season.
        • Jorge Gavilan (LB, 34-40, 72-84): 16-year old from Argentina who has settled at LB as we had hoped since we don't have a true replacement for Ilesanmi at this time.
        • Jomar Sadami (RW, 58-62, 75-81): 16-year old from Ghana is starting to settle into his development. He projects as a wing midfielder in our scheme.
        • Orester Senteildis (LW, 46-48, 73-79): 16-year old from Greece who isn't as advanced in his skill set as our other Greek prospect. He's still being evaluated.
        • David Antonio (CM, 54-58, 73-79): 16-year old from England who doesn't project as much more than a role player for us down the line.
        • Brian Donaldson (CAM, 53-57, 73-79): 16-year old from England who is attack minded and could be utilized as a striker. Best suited to stay in the academy for now.
        • Magnus Gerndt (MID/ATT, 45-47, 72-78): 15-year old prospect from Sweden who will probably be a LM or RW. Youngest player in the academy.
        • Francisco Anibal (LM, 58-62, 72-76): 17-year old from Portugal who has spent a good amount of time in our academy and will be promoted after this season.
        • Enric Tinlea (CM, 51-55, 71-75): 16-year old from Romania described as a playmaker even though he projects more as a bench player for us.

        * Denotes recent addition to the academy.

Laurenco Vilna (CM, 65 OVR, Has Potential To Be Special) was promoted to the senior squad at his request. He will probably become the replacement sub for Torres since his secondary position is CAM and he has very good attack ratings.

Other than that no other news as there were no games with Venezuela during these last two months. Now it's time to finish the season and get promoted to the BPL! (maybe win the league?)

        Wish me luck!
Really hope you can get into the BPL!! That would be great as this is one of my favourite careers on here. James Collins has also been insane for me but have you had any injury problems with him? In the two seasons i've played with him he's been out for lengthy periods of time, and its a shame cus he averages a goal every game for me!

Still great work on both careers

Yes, it is surprisingly incredible but as you said I more than likely won't be challenging up here come the end of the season. Huws was a bargain and I highly recommend anyone trying to get him if they want a good centre mid for a Championship to lower Premier League side.

            Spoiler

This year's Champions League final was played on Rome's Stadio Olimpico. The two teams that reached the final were Hertha BSC and Paris Saint-Germain of which the French team wasn't really expected to make it to the final. The teams played against each other in the 2015-16 season and Hertha won both of the games. PSG had all of their starters and best players fit for the game: Sirigu, Van der Wiel, Thiago Silva, David Luiz, Lucas Digne, Blaise Matuidi, Yohann Cabaye, Thiago Silva, Juan Iturbe, Ezequiel Lavezzi and the mighty Zlatan Ibrahimovic were all ready and hungry for victory. The players of Hertha were also all fit except for the important Toni Kroos who broke his elbow two weeks ago against Werder Bremen. The Berliners were slight favourites but it wasn't going to be an easy game for both teams.

The game started with PSG creating pressure. Hertha were nervous and they lost the ball easily. Luckily their defence was playing really well. The first half ended goalless and Thomas Kraft in Hertha's goal had pulled some impressive saves. In the second half Hertha started to attack more but they got only two shots on target, both saved by Sirigu. Luis Suarez also hit the post. In the 70th minute Zlatan Ibrahimovic intercepted a pass in attack and he was through on goal with Juan Iturbe. The striker played the ball a few meters wide to Iturbe who shot a low shot which was heading to the bottom left corner but Thomas Kraft managed to save it. Fifteen minutes later Mario Götze's shot hit the post and Luis Suarez tapped in the rebound but he was offside. Five minutes later in the last minute of the game Luis Suarez ran in the box from the left flank after a throw in. The Uruguayan saw Götze in the box and played a pass to the young midfielder. The ball bounced twice before being hit by Mario Götze with his first touch to the top right corner of the net to win the Champions League! Every Hertha fan at the stadium went crazy as the referee blew the whistle right after kickoff!

            Press Conference

Congratulations on an amazing season! How do you feel right now?

I'm really happy and full of joy, it's always a wonderful feeling to win a major trophy and to have a successful season. It's something I'll always love and enjoy to experience.

You broke the record of highest amount of points separating first and second in the league and you equalled the record of most points in a season. That is unbelievable.

Yes, you are correct about that. I still can't believe what we did and it's amazing that we lost only one game this season and managed to win the league with a difference of 26 points. It would have been great to break another record but I guess we need to settle on just one and try again next season.

You won the double this season but you failed to win the domestic cup. Is the treble something you want to achieve next season?

Yes, absolutely. I was really disappointed when we lost to HSV in the cup but we didn't deserve to win that game. The only positive thing in that loss is that the players will be hungry for the cup this season and they will want to win it. I couldn't describe how it would feel to win two trebles in three years.

The media, supporters of other clubs and other managers are calling you arrogant and disrespectful. Do you think these things are true?

I don't think like that at all. I'm confident in my abilities and in my players and I say what I feel like saying. I'm not a fake man who acts polite and nice in front of the media. I don't care what they think or say about me. Our results and the trophies we have won are enough to prove that I'm not some lucky or talentless clown.

What do you think about winning the Champions League twice in a row?

That is an incredible achievement which a footballer or a manager can just dream about. And to become the second team ever to do so, that's something amazing. We didn't play that well in the final but luckily our defenders and keeper were on top of our game. The trophy is for the fans who have had some tough times supporting this club in the past decade.

Let's talk about next season. What are your transfer plans?

Okay then. One more question: What do you want to achieve in the next season?

The answer is simple: the treble.

Thank you for reading this post! I hope you have enjoyed it! Any feedback or suggestions will be appreciated!

              Sent To Coventry
              Season 3
              FIFA 15

              Match 7

              Arsenal 2-1 Coventry
              Sanchez 31
              Sanchez 43
              Huws 84

We went behind in our first big match of the season when Sanchez curled in from the edge of the box. He then made it 2, breaking through the defence to smash into the top corner. Nouble and Agard both managed to force good saves and Agard headed over the bar but Arsenal were able to hold firm. Huws pulled one back late on, his initial header from a corner being parried but he was able to knock in on the rebound. In stoppage time, Gary Gardner went down with an ACL injury ruling him out for pretty much the rest of the season.

              Match 8

              Coventry 0-2 QPR
              Taarabt 51
              Sandro 78

Taarabt gave QPR the lead after he was able to run clear and curl into the bottom corner. Sandro made it 2, heading in at the far post to give QPR a win that they probably didn't deserve. Huws forced 4 saves and Hughes forced a good save as well. Nouble hit the bar from a corner as well but we couldn't find the back of the net.

              Match 9

              Newcastle 2-2 Coventry
              Fleck 3
              Sissoko 36
              Sissoko 67
              Nouble 75

We took the lead in this match when Agard pulled it back for Fleck to tuck into the bottom corner of the near post. Sissoko equalised when Marshall came out to collect the ball but was beaten to it by Obertan who played it through for the French midfielder to knock into the empty net. Sissoko then gave Newcastle the lead, smashing into the roof of the net after being played through. Nouble equalised when he took a great first touch and knocked in over the keeper.

              Match 10

              Coventry 0-3 Chelsea
              Baker 8
              Costa 26
              Marshall (RED)30
              Schurrle 48

We were absolutely battered by the league leaders in this match. Baker opened the scoring, breaking through the middle and smashing into the top corner. Costa made it 2, cutting inside and curling into the bottom corner. Then disaster struck as Marshall came out to close the attacker down and made a bad challenge and was sent off. Our centre back Harry Maguire went in goal in place of him. Schurrle made it 3, knocking into the empty net after Costa squared it to him. We played relatively well after that however, forcing Courtois into 5 spectacular saves and Maguire also managed to make an incredible save to deny Costa.

              League Table

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

I apologize for the lack of updates from AFC Wimbledon on my part. I only have a couple games to finish April and I have all the matches typed up, but I just haven't played it since. I started a player career and I've been having fun with that. A nice little break from having to control the whole team and transfers and such. I've been playing as striker but I might start a second career in my natural position as wide midfielder. One thing I dislike about player career is the fact that you can't change your position mid career. It would be so much more fun if I could. For example in real life I play right/left midfield and right/left back, so I would have enjoyed it much more to switch between the two depending on the circumstances but unfortunately it is not possible. I think the longest player career I've ever had has been on... Forgive me for this... PES 2011/2012. It was super fun and had real nice features, but the lack of licensed kits and players took me back to FIFA. I know PES has the Americas leagues licensed now but I think I would still prefer FIFA. Anyway looks like I got a little off topic. I intend to finish the Wimbledon career before jumping to current-gen and '15, but I'm just procrastinating a bit haha

                  MATCHDAY 11 5/10
                  Wycombe 0-0 Northampton

                  Our best: Josh Scowen

Disappointingly we dropped 2 points at home. All there is to say is that we didn't take our chances. A plus is that Cowan-Hall got some minutes today off the bench after returning from injury. Craig should be fit for our next game.

                  J.PAINT TROPHY ROUND 2 8/10
                  Wycombe 1-1 Coventry (4-2) PENS
                  S.Craig (29')
                  L.Clarke (35')

Man of the Match: Steven Craig

In this round we faced 2nd in League 1 Coventry City at home. Craig was fit and in the 29th minute he dispossessed a Coventry defender, who had just received a throw in, and then finished it smartly to the bottom corner. 6 in all competitions for him now. But then a cross found the head of Clarke who put it away in the 35th minute. It stayed this way to Full time meaning Extra time would be needed. Morias had 2 chances in the 2nd half of ET and Stewart had a header cleared off the line in the dying minutes. Penalties it was to be. I converted my first 2 and missed my third. Coventry scored their first and missed both their second and third ones. I put away my fourth so it would all be down to Coventry's fourth penalty. if they missed we would go through. They converted it meaning it was up to Lewis to score.

                  MATCHDAY 12 19/10
                  Southend Utd 1-1 Wycombe
                  B.Corr (11')
                  J.Pittman (75')

Man of the Match: Josh Scowen

With the first shot of the game Southend took the lead after some terrible defending. 10 minutes later Craig was through but the keeper smothered him. Our breakthrough came in the 75th minute as Lewis fed a through ball to Pittman who finished it first time across the keeper with his right foot. 5 minutes later Pittman whipped a ball in from the right and Craig met it with his head connecting sweetly. The keeper however, produced a stunning diving save to keep it out and the score level. It finished 1-1.

                  MATCHDAY 13 22/10
                  Wycombe 0-0 Dagenham

Man of the Match: Marvin McCoy

After drawing our last 3 games we needed to pick up all 3 points here. The first half was the same as previously, we couldn't take our chances when they came. In the 77th minute Morias struck the crossbar with a free kick from just outside the box. In the last minute Morias was very unlucky again when a header that was going in, to win it, was deflected off an unsuspecting defender into the keepers hands. This was our third straight draw in the league.

                  MATCHDAY 14 26/10
                  S****horpe Utd 2-3 Wycombe
                  D.Burton (13')
                  J.Morias (17')
                  P.Cowan-Hall (31')
                  M.Collins (45')
                  J.Morias (82')

Man of the Match: Junior Morias

An away fixture to 3rd placed S****horpe Utd was next on the cards. With our lead at the top only 3 points, we couldn't afford to slip up here today. Early chances from Morias and Hause came as we started brightly. Then a stupid back pass led to Burton having an easy finish. Morias then found himself on the end of a blocked shot, from Scowen, to make it 1-1. In the 31st minute Craig put Cowan-Hall in and he made no mistake in making it 2-1. Right on half time Collins equalized. Morias got his 2nd, and our 3rd, as McClure came off the bench to cross a ball across the box for Morias to nod it into an empty net as the keeper desperately scrambled across his goal. A last minute free from S****horpe was poorly struck as we emerged 3-2 winners.

In other news Bloomfield has requested a move in January as he is disappointed at his lack of matches.
Also Lewis who refused a contract extension, a couple months ago, has been linked with Birmingham, Charlton and Blackburn.

                  November 2013

                  MATCHDAY 15 2/11
                  Wycombe 0-0 Burton Albion

Man of the Match: Stuart Lewis

0-0 at the break, we had some good chances but didn't take them. Both sides were pretty even, both having 4 shots with 2 on target. A couple early chances, in the second half, yielded nothing more than a couple of good saves from the 2 keepers. A disappointing 0-0 draw in the end.

                  MATCHDAY 16 5/11
                  Oxford Utd 0-0 Wycombe

Man of the Match: Paris Cowan-Hall

2 good chances for us in the first half both from Morias. It remained scoreless at half time however. Chances in the middle of the second half from Morias and Craig were saved by the Oxford keeper. Lewis then missed an absolute sitter in the 83rd minute, he had the whole goal to aim at! It ended in yet another draw.

                  FA CUP ROUND 1 10/11
                  Wycombe 1-0 Burton Albion
                  M.Bloomfield (90')

Man of the Match: Matt Bloomfield

So, I fielded some youngsters and subs for this game as I wanted to keep my main players fresh for the J. Paint Trophy Qtr Final against MK Dons in 2 days time. Kuffour had a chance around the 25 minute mark when he dispossessed his opponent but he couldn't convert. Bloomfield then in the dying seconds received the ball on the edge of the box and powered it home! Kuffour got a Hyper extended knee and was replaced by Morgan for the last couple of seconds.

Kuffour is expected to be out for about 3 weeks.

                  J.PAINT TROPHY QTR FINAL 12/11
                  MK Dons 2-0 Wycombe
                  C.Tanase (43’)
                  C.Tanase (55’)

                  Our Best: Josh Scowen

We started the brighter of the two teams for the first 20 minutes but MK Dons controlled the remainder of the half with Tanase getting their goal in the 43rd minute. We had a couple chances from Morias and Wood after that. MK Dons killed the game with Tanase’s second at 55 minutes. Our only other real chance was a Cowan-Hall shot from outside the box which was saved comfortably.

                  MATCHDAY 17 23/11
                  Fleetwood Town 0-1 Wycombe
                  S.Craig (24’)

Man of the Match: Anthony Stewart

Craig got the goal 24 minutes in when Pittman put him in and he finished with his left foot off the post. He has 8 in all competitions now. We defended well for the rest of the game as we kept them shotless. Craig had the chance to add another in the 89th but shot wide.

Kuffour is now back from injury and in training.

                  MATCHDAY 18 30/11
                  Morecambe 3-1 Wycombe
                  J.Samspon (34’)
                  M.Marshall (43’)
                  S.Drummond (69’)
                  K.Hause (82’)

Man of the Match: Anthony Stewart

We played very poorly and Morecambe deserved the win. Our consolation goal came in the 82nd minute form Hause as a rebounded shot fell to him outside the box he struck it with his right and it flew in like a bullet.

NEWS: Lewis has requested a transfer.

                    January

                    PL: West Brom 1-0 Sunderland
                    76 Podolski

West Bromwich Albion left it until late to grab all three points against Sunderland with a solitary goal courtesy of Lukas Podolski. The German ditched his marker to ghost into the penalty box, getting on the end of a through ball from Xabi Alonso to tap in.

                    FA: West Brom 3-0 Millwall
                    15 Ideye
                    49 Ideye
                    65 Ideye

Brown Ideye scored his first hat-trick of the season to dispatch an in-form Millwall bolstered by the goalscoring antics of Sam Baldock, who was the top scorer in the competition at the start of this match. Ideye scored twice with his head and once with his right foot, completed 88% of his 23 attempted passes, and registered all six shots on target. Chesterfield are the opponents for the fourth round.

                    CO: West Brom 1-1 Cardiff
                    16 Macheda
                    61 Delph

The first leg of the semi-final tie between West Bromwich Albion and Cardiff City ended as a stalemate, with the Welsh side coming out top thanks to the away goals rule. Federico Macheda showed glimpses of his quality with a stunning volley, while Fabian Delph registered his third 40-yard goal of the season with a blistering shot. There remains everything to play for when the Baggies travel to Wales.

PL: West Brom 5-1 West Ham
                    2 Zarate
                    7 Lescott
                    25 Ideye
                    41 Fofana
                    62 Ideye
                    69 Ideye

Despite losing Winston Reid to a fractured rib for six weeks, West Bromwich Albion will be thrilled with this wonderful result against the New Zealand native's former club. Brown Ideye registered another hat-trick, with Joleon Lescott and Gueida Fofana both scoring via corner kicks. Mauro Zarate scored for the hosts early on, but it clearly wasn't enough.

                    Dawson departs for Stoke

West Bromwich Albion announces the sale of English central defender Craig Dawson to Barclays Premier League side Stoke City. The move was completed late last night after the clubs agreed a fee of £1.6 million, with Dawson himself wasting no time in agreeing personal terms with his new team. Everyone at West Brom would like to thank Craig for his efforts and contributions, and we wish him all the very best in his new endeavour.

                    PL: Chelsea 4-2 West Brom
                    29 Costa
                    44 Baker
                    49 Costa
                    51 Xabi Alonso
                    58 Ideye
                    87 Sturridge

West Bromwich Albion were finally defeated in league action, as rampant Chelsea went to town on them at Stamford Bridge. Diego Costa and academy graduate Lewis Baker put the hosts 2-0 up at the break, and Costa then added a third. Xabi Alonso scored from distance, while Brown Ideye poached a second. Despite the dismissal of Gary Cahill, Chelsea then scored a fourth via Daniel Sturridge, who re-joined the Blues from Bayern Munich this past summer for £36.5 million.

Bonucci makes surprise move to West Brom

West Bromwich Albion is pleased to announce the signing of Italy central defender Leonardo Bonucci from Juventus on a three-year contract that will make him our highest earner at £100,000 per week. The deal was completed earlier today after the clubs agreed on a £5 million fee. Originally set to join us in the summer as a free agent, Leonardo's transfer was expedited following Winston Reid's rib injury. He will wear the number 15 shirt, but remains cup-tied and ineligible to participate in our Champions League matches.

                    CO: Cardiff 0-0 West Brom

There was quite literally nothing to write home about as an unusually profligate West Bromwich Albion side put on a rare toothless display. Cardiff City defended with the bravery of vikings, refusing to allow West Brom's midfielders any time on the ball. The result means that Cardiff will now face Chelsea in the Capital One Cup final at Wembley Stadium on February 19.

                    FA: West Brom 3-0 Chesterfield
                    6 Xabi Alonso (pen)
                    48 Sako
                    70 Broadhead (og)

On a blustery and rainy afternoon at The Hawthorns, West Bromwich Albion knocked Chesterfield out of the FA Cup to set up a fifth-round tie against Chelsea. Xabi Alonso opened the scoring when he dispatched a spot kick, after Bakary Sako was fouled in the box. Sako then got on the end of a corner delivered by Xabi, making the score 2-0. A third was added late on when Jack Broadhead accidentally lifted Xabi's cross into his own net.

                    February

                    PL: Arsenal 0-3 West Brom
                    12 Podolski
                    18 Sako
                    79 Berahino

With three points separating them from Arsenal and a game in hand, West Bromwich Albion knew that while they did not need to win this game, they could not afford to lose it. That all went out the window as the Gunners started poorly, allowing their former striker Lukas Podolski and Bakary Sako to score early goals, while Saido Berahino netted with his first touch after being subbed on late into the second half.

PL: West Brom 2-1 Aston Villa
                    14 Gonzalez
                    63 Agbonlahor
                    83 Ideye

Omar Gonzalez scored his first goal for West Bromwich Albion, and what a goal it was. Facing arch-rivals Aston Villa, the Baggies were looking to draw first blood. With 14 minutes gone, Gonzalez dribbled from central defence all the way to the edge of Villa's box, exchanging passes with Nathan Redmond before slotting the ball past Brad Guzan. Gabriel Agbonlahor equalised to give Villa hope, but Brown Ideye got in on the action to bag the winner.

                    PL: West Brom 3-2 QPR
                    20 Sako
                    38 Traore
                    42 Berahino
                    62 Faurlin
                    83 Milner

What looked like ending in a draw turned out to be surprise win for the league leaders. West Bromwich Albion, playing poorly, relied on goals from Bakary Sako and Saido Berahino to scrape out what was heading for a 2-2 draw against Queens Park Rangers, who had scored a pair of their own via Armand Traore and Alejandro Faurlin. James Milner popped up with a crucial goal minutes before time, giving Indi Blue's side a third straight league win.

CL: West Brom 3-2 Bayern Munich
                    31 Robben
                    35 Redmond
                    40 Schweinsteiger
                    63 Podolski (pen)
                    87 Ideye

A shock 3-2 win ended in favour of West Bromwich Albion, as Bayern Munich returned from the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie with a newfound respect for Europe's latest elite team. Arjen Robben opened the scoring with just over half an hour played, and Nathan Redmond equalised for the hosts soon after. Bastian Schweinsteiger then turned and shot in the box, following up to take advantage of Ben Foster's parry.

Soon after the hour mark, Jerome Boateng went in on Lukas Podolski with his studs up, and the German defender was duly sent off with a straight red card. Podolski dispatched the following spot kick, and both teams went into overdrive. West Brom, sensing an advantage and smelling fresh blood, went into all-out attack mode, creating chance after chance. Bayern, unwilling to be left behind, made substitutions and threw two striker forward in search of a winner.

That winner eventually came for West Brom, when Brown Ideye got on the end of a corner to poke the ball past Manuel Neuer. At the end of the game, an appreciative stadium applauded both teams, and Bayern were left with plenty to think about following their surprise loss.

"It's a shock because we did not expect to lose," said Bayern manager Pep Guardiola. "We have a newfound respect for this team. They kept attacking and never sat back to absorb pressure. I like the kind of football they play; it was very entertaining to watch, especially in the second half after the red card. There's no shame in losing like this, and we have to all sit up and take notice. I think we are looking at the next great European team."

"We went in to score goals, because we always knew that stopping these elite players from scoring would be next to impossible," said Indi Blue, manager of West Brom. "I'm extremely proud of these boys. They really proved their credentials today. Now nobody can say that we don't belong at this level."

                    FA: West Brom 1-0 Chelsea
                    50 Gonzalez

Assistant manager Bob Taylor took charge of the fifth-round FA Cup match against Chelsea as Indi Blue had to attend to personal matters. Omar Gonzalez scored the only goal in a tight contest. West Bromwich Albion will now face Everton in the first of four quarter-final ties.

                    PL: West Brom 1-1 Stoke
                    67 Lansbury
                    69 Adam

West Bromwich Albion faced relegation candidates Stoke City in a match that the visitors could not afford to lose. Henri Lansbury opened the scoring on 67 minutes, but a lack of focus allowed Charlie Adam to drift past three defenders and chip Ben Foster, equalising to give Stoke a much-needed point.

                    Press Conference

You're the talk of the continent since beating Bayern Munich. What do you make of that?

While I'm appreciative of all the nice things being said about my boys, we've only won the first leg, and Bayern have the advantage of two away goals. It's vital that we go to Munich looking to attack and score goals, because I can guarantee you that Pep is going to have his boys do the same thing. Our chances of progressing are good, but we have a tough task ahead of us.

Results in the league dipped a bit, but you seem to have got back to winning ways in the last couple of months.

We seemed to have hit a peak around November and December, but I've been able to give some of my players some much-needed rest, and everyone looks a lot fresher for it. The other issue we had was injuries, which cost us our first-choice back four. Chelsea were able to take advantage of that and beat us. We also had to deal with Cristian Gamboa's sprained ankle, but Guieda Fofana did a smashing job filling in at right back for a few weeks.

It must have been painful losing to Cardiff, especially after everything you said about being the better team and having a point to prove.

What can you do? I mentioned at that same press meet that the better team doesn't always win, and while we gave Cardiff the respect they deserved, we were just simply poor over two legs. Nonetheless, we're still in contention for the FA Cup, and we're eager to do well there.

You could make another semi-final if you beat Everton. Do you favour your chances?

Absolutely. I think the quality of this team is such that one failure spurs us on to three pieces of success. We've evolved so much over the last couple of seasons, so the chemistry is incredible, but the anger and disappointment are magnified. We've lost out on one piece of silverware already. It'd be a shame to crash out of another one.

Leonardo Bonucci was supposed to be a Bosman signing. Why did you stump up the cash?

Winston's injury and Craig Dawson's transfer left us with two available centre backs. I couldn't take the risk of being left with just one in case anything happened to either of them, so it was vital that we brought Leo in this window. Juventus are naturally happy with that turn of events, and it gives Leo a chance to adjust to the English game without the pressure of needing to impact proceedings.

Maybe it's time to experiment with different formations? Or at least, something I do in some matches, is change the formation when it's close to the end of the game. As an example, if you're using a 4-2-3-1 and you need a goal change to a 4-2-2-2 and get another striker up there. Another example if you're using a 4-2-3-1 and you need to defend a lead, change to a 4-1-4-1 to get another man in midfield. When I used the 3-5-2 at Wimbledon and I was desperate for a goal, I sometimes switched to a 3-4-3 Diamond and force the opposition to open up or a 3-5-1-1 and attack through the middle. Just pay attention to how the opposition is defending and then change your formation to counter it and/or expose weak points.

The young Ecuador striker managed to score in all four games that he played, scoring a total of six goals. He was most impressive in the 4-3 win against Rotherham United, where he managed to bag a hat-trick. He also scored 2 against Bradford City, which were the only goals of the game. His determination, speed and workrate really has impressed the fans and the coaching staff. After we presented him this award, he still wanted to focus on the future of things.

"This award is great, yet it does not mean much. It is not titel. Hopefully I can keep on scoring and we can keep on winning."

Phil Neville only had praise for the striker and encouraged Hitchcock and Rossi to step up their game. "The kid is fantastic. I want the other strikers to really play like him. Play their heart out when the step on to the pitch."

It was a great month of September for Cazeres, but can he keep it up? We shall see.

Again, a great month, we are rolling. I feel really compfortable while playing with this team, hopefully, the youngsters can only get better and we can only score more. :P
