Thanks, my goal is the Europa League, but I don't know if I'll get there. We are real inconsistent. We beat Dinamo and Lokomotiv, drew CSKA, but lose to Anzhi and Ufa. This club is real hard to figure out. As you saw with this last update, I really choked against Rubin, Amkar, and Ufa. I don't really know why Strandberg is getting a call-up either. He had a brace against Lokomotiv, but hasn't scored any other goals. I'm about to post the next month's update, and at least our form picks up.

FC Ural Player of the Month

CDM Roman Emelyanov, 63 Ovr, 23 years old, Russia

It was a big bounce back month of November for FC Ural after a disappointing October. The Yekaterinburg-based club took 7 of a possible 9 points despite facing league powers FC Krasnodar and Zenit St. Petersburg. 23-year-old defensive midfielder Roman Emelyanov was instrumental in Ural's success as he had a fantastic game against Krasnodar with 1 goal, 1 assist, and a Man of the Match performance. Emelyanov has been inserted into the Starting XI due to the injury to Gerson Acevedo, and now with another rash of injuries, the young Russian will need to continue playing excellent football to keep Vadim Skripchenko's side fighting for a European spot.

      Russian Premier League Table
      1. Zenit - 32 pts
      2. CSKA - 30 pts
      3. Spartak - 25 pts
      4. Dinamo - 24 pts
      5. Rubin - 23 pts
      6. Krasnodar - 22 pts
      7. Ural - 22 pts
      8. Anzhi - 20 pts
      9. Lokomotiv - 18 pts
      10. Mordovia - 16 pts
      11. Ufa - 12 pts
      12. Kuban - 12 pts
      13. Krylya - 11 pts
      14. Terek - 9 pts
      15. Amkar - 8 pts
      16. Rostov - 8 pts

      Russian Premier League Top Scorers
      1. Dzyuba (Zenit) - 9 Goals
      2. Wanderson (Krasnodar) 7 Goals
      3(t). Musa (CSKA) - 6 Goals
      3(t). Niasse (Lokomotiv) - 6 Goals
      4. Zhirkov (Dinamo) - 5 Goals

      Russian Premier League Clean Sheets
      1. Akinfeev (CSKA) - 7 Clean Sheets
      2. Rebrov (Spartak) - 6 Clean Sheets
      3. Zhevnov (Ural) - 5 Clean Sheets
      4(t). Gabulov (Dinamo) - 4 Clean Sheets
      4(t). Malafeev (Zenit) - 4 Clean Sheets

      Manager's Thoughts
This was a great way to respond to disappointment in October, as we held our own with FC Krasnodar and Zenit St. Petersburg, and handled business against FC Rostov. I had a bad feeling when Ari put Krasnodar ahead of us, but we fought back, and Vladimir Khozin headed home a corner in the 90th minute to give us a thrilling win. Getting a point against Zenit was big as well, as once again we had to come back from a goal down. Alhaji Kamara also looks to have taken the starting striker role, even before the injury to Carlos Strandberg. We are really being tested with how many of our guys have gone down. Hopefully, we can fight through it.

      December 2015 - Schedule
      12/5 - vs Spartak
      12/13 - at Krylya
      12/19 - vs Lokomotiv

We begin December with a massive showdown in Yekaterinburg against Spartak Moscow. Currently, we're in 7th place, but only 3 points behind 3rd place Spartak. If we can defend our home turf, we would draw level with them on points. The road trip to Samara against Krylya Sovetov could be a trap game, but our squad needs to remain focused against lower-table sides. Finally, we face Lokomotiv right before Christmas. We already have a 2-0 win over them in Moscow, so we should not be feeling threatened despite their great roster. My ambitious goal is to take all 9 points.

Just started as Bristol Rovers in League Two to go along side Kaiserslautern as I want to keep FIFA varied. It should be a challenge but they have a decent budget so it won't be hell. The first window will be closed as I evaluate the squad for the January window.

Also a Kaiserslautern update should be up tonight with November through January.

            January Transfer Window

Lennart Thy - Pre-Contract from St. Pauli
            ST, 68 Ovr, 23, Germany

Due to a lack of funds and being happy with what we had, Lennart was our only signing of the window. The 23 year old, capped by his country at U16 through to U20 level joins on a 4 year deal. He combines strength and pace to be a real handful up front. He links up with the squad when his contract expires on July 1st.

We wanted to add some other players on Pre-Contracts in preparation for next season when we hope to be competing in the Bundesliga. Unfortunately, the wages that were being demanded were outside of our financial capabilities. We will look to strengthen considerably in the summer.

            Selke 47'
            Selke 80'

            MOTM: Davie Selke (8.9)

            Match 23
            FC Heidenheim 0-1 Kaiserslautern

            Ring 71'

            MOTM: Alexander Ring (8.7)

So after 23 games we are 8 points clear thanks to having both the strongest attack and defence in the league. While it is tight in terms of goals scored, we are miles away with regards to goals conceded, no small thanks to our goalkeeper Marius Muller who leads the league in clean sheets. Antonio-Mirko Čolak and Melvyn Lorenzen have really come into their own up front and are heading up the scoring charts with 10 goals a piece. Antonio is only on loan to us however so we will look to secure him permanently this summer. Alexander Ring has been a revelation in midfield providing our creativity and was subject to many bids in January. He stayed put however as he is too valuable to lose. Another midfielder who has been a rock is Markus Karl, the German adds steel to our midfield and cuts out many attacks while also triggering moves of his own.

            Squad

Karl and Klich are the two defensive midfielders.

That's all for now, Thanks for Reading!

I changed up the sliders just before I started dropping points, conceding goals and losing games again. The season is done, and though we didn't claim the title, we finished WAY above where anyone expected. Quite pleased with the situation as I'm very clear on the system I want to play, the players I want to keep, and the signings I want to make. I wanted that post up today, but I keep notes on my tablet and forgot to bring it with me to work, so it should be up tonight or tomorrow.

                  *Recent acquisition.

                  Starting XI

                  Asian Elite Cup
                  Group Match 1
                  CCM - Al Raed (2-2)
                  O'Donovan 8'
                  Al Farsi 19'
                  Kharmi 66'
                  O'Donovan 85'

O'Donovan started what seemed like a promising coaching debut but the game quickly turned into a battle and it would be O'Donovan who would salvage the day for the new head coach. CCM held the ball 53% of the time while both teams shot the ball 6 times and had 3 of those shots on target.

                  Group Match 2
                  Gwangju FC - CCM (1-1)
                  O'Donovan 37'
                  Park Il Kwon 75'

This match-up between two of the lowest-rated teams on this side of the world was mildly entertaining but CCM was once again unable to hang on to a lead.

                  Group Match 3
                  CCM - Al Faisaly (0-1)
                  Al Safri 53'

CCM's run in the cup comes to an end after a struggle against another Saudi Arabian opponent. Al Faisaly had 9 shots, 3 on goal, while CCM was only able to muster 2 shots, neither one on target.

                  Games Next Month

                  * 10/18/15 at Brisbane Roar.
                  * 10/23/15 vs Wellington Phoenix.
                  * 10/31/15 at Newcastle Jets.

Review: I must say I forgot how frustrating it can be to play with these teams with minimal talent. I think I aged a bit. It'll be a challenge for sure which is what I'm looking for. I wasn't necessarily set on rolling with my preferred 4-4-2 but the roster allows for it so I'm happy. Oddly enough when you start a CM with an A-League team your season starts in September so I didn't get a shot at any summer transfers. Instead I had to settle for a couple of FA signings. Wilkinson, a 31-year old Aussie, stabilizes what would otherwise be a CB pairing averaging a rating under 60. Gonzalez brings a veteran presence to the club that allows Caceres to be a super sub at any of the 4 spots in the midfield - that kind of depth for a team like CCM is something to treasure. My next step is to hire a youth scout with the half a million dollars I have left. I'm definitely looking forward to the start of the season.

                  Wish me luck!

                    Starting XI

                    Asian Elite Cup
                    Group Match 1
                    CCM - Al Raed (2-2)
                    O'Donovan 8'
                    Al Farsi 19'
                    Kharmi 66'
                    O'Donovan 85'

O'Donovan started what seemed like a promising coaching debut but the game quickly turned into a battle and it would be O'Donovan who would salvage the day for the new head coach. CCM held the ball 53% of the time while both teams shot the ball 6 times and had 3 of those shots on target.

                    Group Match 2
                    Gwangju FC - CCM (1-1)
                    O'Donovan 37'
                    Park Il Kwon 75'

This match-up between two of the lowest-rated teams on this side of the world was mildly entertaining but CCM was once again unable to hang on to a lead.

                    Group Match 3
                    CCM - Al Faisaly (0-1)
                    Al Safri 53'

CCM's run in the cup comes to an end after a struggle against another Saudi Arabian opponent. Al Faisaly had 9 shots, 3 on goal, while CCM was only able to muster 2 shots, neither one on target.

Great to see you sign Wilkinson, he's a CCM legend. tough luck in the friendlies but that was probably expected given the quality you have. Also with signing of Gonzalez you won't be able to sign an international player without Australian citizenship due to our international player quota of five. that's if you are using this rule. (which FIFA doesn't know about)

LMAO! Ask me if I knew Wilkinson was a CCM legend. I just needed a CB and Aussie players and he was sitting there so I signed him. Talk about running into a great storyline. and yeah I'm aware of the international rule and plan on honoring it, even if other rules won't be honored in my favor (like funds rolling over to the following season). Thanks again for giving me the heads up on that one

                          Recap/Review

Like I said earlier ‒ a FAR better result than anyone would have guessed at the start of the season. I think a club of Newcastle's size deserves a spot in Europe's finest club competition, and we finally have it. Now's the time to show everyone that this was no fluke. Competition is going to get tougher, and we need to build a squad that can keep up with the greater demands.

This summer, I will oversee a massive overhaul of the playing squad in order to provide the quality and depth expected of a Champions League side. We will aim for top quality in the first team, a strong bench capable of filling in across all positions in the starting XI, and promising youth players in the reserves. There will be a huge turnover, but I expect the team will do well.

Expected formations for 2016/17: 4-3-3 holding, 4-4-2 diamond

                            FIFA 16 - Season 1

                            The Blades

                            Clough Out!

After missing out on promotion to the Championship, the Blades have sacked Nigel Clough. Clough led Sheffield United to the semi-final of the Capital One Cup, and a play-off semi-final loss to Swindon Town which ultimately cost him his job.

The club released the following statement:

"Sheffield United today announce that Nigel Clough, the club's first-team manager, and his management staff, are to leave Bramall Lane with immediate effect following the decision by the board that a change in direction was necessary for the forthcoming season.

The search for the club's new first-team manager will now start and is hoped that this will result in identifying and recruiting the right candidate within a relatively short period of time.

The club would like to place on record its thanks to Nigel, as well as his backroom staff of Gary Crosby, Andy Garner, Martin Taylor, Simon Clough, Michael Forsyth and Matt Brown for their contribution to the club during their time at Bramall Lane and wish them all well for their future.
                            "

Clough took over at Sheffield United in 2013, and turned the club around from the lower reaches of League One and led them to moderately reasonable success over the next two years that included a FA Cup semi-final, a Capital One Cup semi-final, and a League One play-off semi-final appearance. In the end, the club had charged him with reaching the Championship, and after missing out the decision was made to part ways with the manager despite the progress the club had made in his tenure.

The search for a new manager has now commenced. The question is, will this new manager be the one to get them into the Championship? Or will he suffer the same fate as Clough, where just simply improving won't be enough?

                              Newport County A.F.C.

                              Exiles get their new leader

Newport County's Supporters Trust made their second significant move since taking over ownership of the club by announcing Giovanni Marccelino* as the club's new head coach earlier today. Marccelino, who has spent the last few years as an assistant director of Palermo's youth squad, replaces Terry Butcher who was sacked earlier this summer after the Supporters Trust take over of ownership.

In a statement released by the new Trust the club announced that Marccelino will be in charge of both the senior and youth squads and that they are excited to bring in a head coach they describe as a "motivator" and "outside-the-box thinker". Sources indicate the Trust hired Marccelino after the Italian demonstrated palpable excitement over taking Newport County to levels of the Football League they haven't been to before. Whether that is a task that's expected from the new coach this season remains to be seen due the club having one of the lowest-rated roster in League Two and what's likely to be a very limited transfer/wage budget.

So how has everyone been? Feels like it's been forever since I've really caught up with this forum. Got caught up in holidays, and fallout 4, and even re-visited NCAA 14.

Good to see some old faces have come around again while I've been away. Also sucks that I missed out on the new Star Wars talk! Got around to seeing it a couple weeks ago finally.

Anyway, I hope everything is good with everyone! Looking forward to hopefully getting back involved here and catching up with all of you have been up to.
