Hello, folks. I've been so immersed in this wonderful game that I've made it to October with a team that's not Brighton. It was supposed to be a test save but has ended up growing on me, so I need to come up with a story so I can get that up over the weekend. One thing I notice is that opposition teams will tire greatly after 65 minutes, and I've been taking advantage of that to considerable advantage. Overall, I adore the gameplay even if I'm not getting as many fouls in my favour as I'd feel would be fair. But it's a trade-off that I am willing to make when playing on WC is challenging yet not unconquerable. And being an ad man means I think the UI is gorgeous and worth its own weight in gold.

When I start finishing more chances, I might find it easy. Right now my conversion rate is pretty bad. That could be my sliders, but the game, at least to me, feels harder.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Hey guys, sorry for the lack of updates. I'm in the 4th season with Galway United right now, and I'm thinking about the following:
I want to give you guys a summary of the first 2 seasons, and then start properly updating again from the 3th season onward. Why? Because, for me personally, it's very dull to take notes of all the league 2 and league 1 games, and it actually made me take breaks a lot more often. So I stopped doing it until I reached the Championship, which happend in my 3rd season. So, if you guys are up for it, I can start updating again from season 3. If not, then I'll have to figure out how to make you guys happy
Besides, I was randomly looking through the free agents and I just picked this guy up FOR FREE:

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
We Try. We Fail. We Win.
April 2017
Hertha BSC 2 - 1 TSG Hoffenheim
Ibisevic 54', Esswein 81'
Polanski 78' pen
Remember when I said earlier that Hoffenheim might be becoming our bogey team? Luckily that was not the case as we managed to control this game against them and at the end came out on top. A fast goal a couple of minutes after Eugene Polanski's equaliser secured us the win.
Borussia Mönchengladbach 0 - 0 Hertha BSC
We had quite a few opportunities to win this game, including a penalty kick, but it was saved by Gladbach's Yann Sommer in goal. Even though we could've come out on top, tieing with a strong Gladbach side is not bad at all.
Hertha BSC 0 - 1 FC Augsburg
Dong Won 45'
Mainz 05 0 - 1 Hertha BSC
Haraguchi 28'
This game was quite even but luckily our strong defence was able to withstand Mainz' fine offence. Our Japanese winger Genki Haraguchi scored the only goal of the game with a neat header right before the half an hour mark.
Hertha BSC 1 - 2 VfL Wolfsburg
Kalou 18'
Guilavogui 70', Silva 88' pen
The good news is that Salomon Kalou finally scored his first goal of the season. The bad news is that we threw away the three points which later on became a single point. An inspired Wolfsburg side was able to score two goals in the last twenty minutes to complete their comeback, although some poor defending from our side helped them. Josuha Guilavogui shot the ball into the bottom right corner of the net after a corner kick was cleared poorly, and Andre Silva put his penalty away two minutes before the fulltime whistle.
Werder Bremen 0 - 0 Hertha BSC
May 2017
Hertha BSC 1 - 0 RB Leipzig
Ibisevic 73'
Our captain Vedad Ibisevic scored the game-winning goal in the 73rd minute after a defence-splitting through pass was played towards him. He then shot the ball across the goal, clearing Leipzig's keeper, and rolling into the bottom left corner of the net.
SV Darmstadt 0 - 1 Hertha BSC
Darida 45'
We managed to grind a win in our last away game of the season against third-bottom Darmstadt. Vladimir Darida, who is only 170 cm tall, got his head onto a cross and headed the ball into the goal late into the first half.
Hertha BSC 1 - 1 Bayer Leverkusen
Ibisevic 90' pen
Hernandez 15'
What a way to finish the league season against the league leaders! We had already secured a 5th-place finish this season, and chances of finishing in 4th were very slim as Gladbach, who were one point ahead of us, were about to face third-bottom Darmstadt. Despite this our boys gave their everything against Leverkusen. Javier Hernandez was left unmarked in the 15th minute and the Mexican striker put his side into the lead. We then started pouring more and more men forwards but it didn't pay off until the 90th minute. Genki Haraguchi, who has been in top form lately, ran into the box and got taken down by a Leverkusen defender. Vedad Ibisevic stepped up to take the awarded penalty, and our Bosnian striker didn't miss from there and he equalised the score of our last game of the season.

Promoted Teams For 2017-18 Bundesliga Season
Hannover 96
VfB Stuttgart
Union Berlin (!)
My Thoughts
League Finish - As you can see, we came fifth, three points away from fourth. I'm extremely happy about this finish because we won't play unrealistically in the Champions League next season. Instead we will play in the relatively realistic Europa League, leaving me with more time to work on the team and with more seasons to play through in this career.
Cup Run - We were eliminated in the round of 32 by Hoffenheim, and going out so early was quite disappointing. Next season we will try to get a good run in the cup going.
Player Performances - Rune Jarstein kept the most clean sheets in the league with 20 out of possible 34. This is an amazing tally and overall I'm happy about our keeper's performances. Vedad Ibisevic netted 13 league goals, but other than him no-one else was able to find the back of the net too many times. Salomon Kalou was the biggest disappointment of the team with a single goal and no assists in over 20 appearances. More of this in the squad review post.
Promoted Teams - As you may have noticed, Union Berlin gained promotion to the top tier. What this means is that we will see our first Berlin derbies ever in the top tier of German football! This is something I'm excited about.
Transfer Plans - As it was mentioned in this thread a couple of days ago, the budget system is pretty f*cked up and I just became a victim of it. I finished the season with around €30M, but my budget for next season is only €12.5M. *** **** it, EA. Anyhow, I might try to sell Kalou for a good price as he has been disappointing and he is decreasing. I will also sign Allan (more of whom in the squad review) permanently.
Tranfer Budget: €12,500,000
Wage Budget: €50,000
Youth Academy
Niels Albrechter, CDM, 17 years old, 60 ovr, 76-94 pot, Germany
Tom Lang, LM, 16 years old, 61 ovr, 88-94 pot, Germany
Samuel Montandon,LW, 18 years old, 62 ovr, 83-89 pot, Switzerland
Oliver Meyer, ST, 15 years old, 57 ovr, 78-94 pot, Germany

Good season Simp! Glad you got the finish you wanted in the end. Surprised not to see Bayern and Dortmund at 1 and 2 but at least there's some new winners. The Berlin derby will be epic next season! Some nice prospects in the academy but I'm disappointed to see you've been hit with the budget thing as well.Comment

League Match 21
FC Twente - SC Cambuur (0-2)
Pereira 23'
El Baad 30'
Veldwijk 41'
Diks 25' (Bruised shoulder, 5 days)
The struggle it this feeling that I'm becoming immune to these blunders. All season long we've been trying to be contenders but every now and then we'll drop a game like this against a pretender - at home, which is even worse. We created a good number of scoring opportunities (8 shots, 5 on goal) but were unable to be anywhere as efficient as the visitors who scored twice on three shots on target.
League Match 22
SC Heerenveen - FC Twente (1-1)
Nangis 35' (González)
Slagveer 45+'
Veldwijk 55' (Sprained knee, 4 weeks)
Katsikas 78' (Sprained knee, 4 weeks)
Tough draw here as we were unable to create a bit of distance against one of the clubs on our tails and we also lose two key starter for about a month. Michael Olaitan did a fine job filling in for Torgeir Børven when the Norwegian striker was injured in November and we hope he can keep form these next few weeks, while Peet Bijen did an ok job filling in for Joachim Andersen so hopefully that experience will help him while filling in for Katsikas this time around.
League Match 23
FC Twente - ADO Den Haag (4-0)
Olaitan 45+' (Aké)
Olaitan 60'
González 79' (Aké)
Olaitan 90+' (Tapia)
Michael Olaitan made a statement by scoring a hat-trick to lead us to a comfortable victory against The Hague, the sort of performance we should had have against Cambuur. Olaitan was highly active throughout this game, determined to make a good impression on me and his teammates. Derlis González rounded up the scoring by taking a pass from Nathan Aké on the left side of the midfield then dribbling all the way to the top-center of the box where he unleashed an unstoppable shot to the keeper's right side. ADO didn't make themselves any favors by playing awful defense throughout the game (we had 15 shots, 10 on target) and being nearly non-existent on offense (3 shots, 1 on target).
Olaitan, not surprisingly, finished as the Man of the Match with a 9.2 rating.
League Match 24
FC Twente - PEC Zwolle (2-0)
Nangis 49' (pen)
Olaitan 63' (Eghan)
Zwolle are hands down the worst team in the league and with the first leg of the the UEL Round of 32 against Fiorentina looming I took the opportunity to play a number of subs in this game, including the debut of academy product Phillipp Kübler who had a solid game. Olaitan continued his hot streak finishing a play started with a through pass from Shadrach Eghan who was very active in the passing game.
Euro League - Round of 32, 1st Leg
FC Twente - Fiorentina (1-1)
Olaitan 33' (Juanpi)
Bernardeschi 45'
Andersen made a costly mistake near the end of the half, trying to clear out the ball at the back line to avoid a corner kick for Fiorentina but instead getting the ball to Federico Bernardeschi as he ran into the box who didn't miss 1-on-1 vs Alexander Domínguez to score a very important away goal for the Italian club. Lenny Nangis, taking over PL duties during Veldwijk's absence, had his penalty kick saved in the 25th minute. Luckily for us Olaitan stepped up once again off a corner kick with an unstoppable crossing shot from the top of the box to give us the early lead and ultimately some confidence heading into the second leg.
League Match 25
FC Twente - FC Groningen (3-3)
Nangis 25' (pen)
Børven 53' (Olaitan)
Linssen 61'
Castillo 66'
Castillo 76'
González 88' (Da Cruz)
If that's the last we ever see of Nicolás Castillo I won't complain. I don't even have a proper scouting report on him but I can tell you for certain he has a killer header, to the point that towards the end of the game I was legitimately worried any time the ball was crossed into the box in his direction. With this result Groningen managed to draw both games against this season and not surprisingly it was Castillo who also scored for them in the 1-1 draw that played out back in December. It took us putting all 11 of our shots on target in this game to just manage a draw.
Euro League - Round of 32, 2nd Leg
Fiorentina - FC Twente (1-2, 2-3 agg)
Nangis 23' (pen)
Gomez 60'
Juanpi 80'
González 37' (Sprained ankle, 3 weeks)
Juanpi Añor stole the ball from Nenad Tomović about 30 yards from the Fiorentina goal, dribbled all the way near the penalty strike, then the left-footed attacking midfielder finessed the ball past Ciprian Tătăruşanu with his right foot to give us a late lead that was all but insurmountable at that point. That goal gave us the edge on away goals and at that point Fiorentina needed to win the aggregate score which meant scoring twice in the last 10+ minutes of the game. Now I've seen crazier things happen so it was still a very stressful end to the game but we held our ground to close it out and move on to the Round of 16!

Review: The first thing that comes to mind when looking at the standings is that if we had won against Cambuur like we should had instead of losing we'd be on the verge of overtaking Vitesse for 2nd place in the standings and a shot at Champions League next season. I really want to avoid an end of the season review in which I cry about missed opportunities keeping us out of the CL next season. At this point it's all but a foregone conclusion that Ajax is going to win the league title, they're not slowing down and won all four of their games this month, so the best we can hope for is that 2nd place finish and I'm going to be pretty disappointed if we don't achieve that regardless of the injury crisis we're going through. That being said, I'm also very pleased that we've been able to move in the UEL despite missing Veldwijk and our skipper Katsikas. Both of them should be back a week into March at the latest. Fiorentina proved a tough test and there was a bit ghost-battling there for me after a tough out against Napoli last season. As you can see we'll continue to fly into Italy as Lazio will be our next opponent in the Round of 16 and while I'd like to say they'll be our toughest test yet that would be a bit of a diss towards Tottenham who gave us hell in the group stage. I guess what I'm saying is, if we were able to play Tottenham tough then we feel battle-tested with a couple of games vs Lazio in the horizon.
A special mention has to go to Olaitan who stepped up BIG for us in Veldwijk's absence, to the point that now that the Dutch striker is back from injury I have decided to keep Olaitan in the lineup next to him. I'm going with my gut here, but I feel as though I have to keep the Nigerian in the lineup while he's on a hot streak. Børven, who had a big first half for us this season, becomes our main sub at the striker position by no fault of his own and I hope he'll be a team player about this decision.
Our scouts remain in Belgium, Germany, and Netherlands although at this time there have been no additions to the academy since it's actually full. There may be some promotions this coming month which may clear up some spots for more prospects.
RW - Luciano Wildschut (65 OVR, 92-94 POT): This 15-year old from the Netherlands is unanimously our top prospect and the envy of several clubs not just locally but around Europe. His pace (80acc/70spd) and agility (77) are eye-popping for his age and he has looked great so far in the academy. We're hopeful he'll meet the hype.
CAM - Jeroen Claes (64 OVR, 87-93): This Belgian prospect recently turned 18 and may get bumped to the senior roster in the next few days. After Wildschut he is our second highest rated prospect in the academy. He's considered a "playmaker" who has the ability to put good curve (77) on the ball and has good vision (70) which we hope can help him become a great passer from this position.
LB - Timo Behrens (58 OVR, 84-94): This 17-year old from Germany is a welcomed addition to the academy, immediately becoming our best fullback prospect. Standing at 6'1" and 165lbs, Behrens is described as "physically strong" and that is highlighted by his aggression (85), jumping (79), and strength (78). He also possesses the stamina (71) to be a starter in the future.
CM - Stephen Schoofs (53 OVR, 79-93): 17-year old from Belgium described as a "playmaker". He's a bit too short (5'6") for my preference at the position but hopefully once he develops his skill set he'll make up for the lack of height.
LW - Roy Verrips (51 OVR, 79-89): 16-year old attacking winger from the Netherlands flashing pace (75acc/73spd). We're very excited about his potential and he joins a good crop of local talent whose development will be interesting to watch.
RW - Nathaniel Drost (58 OVR, 79-85): Now a 16-year old from the Netherlands flashing outstanding pace (77spd/80acc) and agility (78) for his age. We're very excited local talent like him signed with our academy.
CB - Rico Kehrer (56 OVR, 78-84): Now a 16-year old from Germany joining a pipeline of centre backs from that country in our academy. He's up to 5'5" and 152lbs and continues to be considered physically strong. He's an aggressive (83) defender.
RM - Mohamed Mühren (54 OVR, 76-94): This 16-year old from the Netherlands has gotten coaches' attention in the academy, displaying more potential than initially assessed. He has very good pace (74spd/73acc), agility (73) and balance (73), a combination our coaches will try to continue to develop as well as other aspects of his game in hopes of finding a true diamond in the rough.
RW - Mauro Pröpper (53 OVR, 74-88): 15-year old from the Netherlands who is displaying very good agility (76) at a very young age to go with promising pace (72acc/67spd).
RM - Jens Schuermans (56 OVR, 76-82): 15-year old from Belgium described as a playmaker. He's only 4'8", 116lbs at the moment but he's crazy agile (76) for someone his age. He flashes some nice potential.
LB - Jules Claeys (46 OVR, 77-83): 16-year old from Belgium who was our first prospect at the fullback position since my arrival. He's raw so he'll need time in the academy but I'm hopeful he'll develop quickly.
CDM - Denis Buysse (46 OVR, 76-82): 17-year old from Belgium described as "playmaker" who is very raw at the moment but offers solid potential. Academy trainers will need to develop him quickly early on.
GK - Nill Oulare (52 OVR, 74-82): This 15-year old from Belgium becomes our first goalkeeper prospect in the academy since my arrival. The youth coaches are excited to work with him to better gauge his potential.
LW - Joris Peters (55 OVR, 75-81): 17-year old from the Netherlands with a good first step (77 acc) who will want to immerse himself into the academy for at least one full season to properly develop his skill set.
CDM - Michael Kabasele (47 OVR, 75-81): 17-year old from Belgium who currently projects as more a future backup. Doesn't possess ideal size (5'6", 143lbs) for the position but also doesn't have the speed to play out wide.
CDM - Daniel Yabo (61 OVR, 73-79): 16-year old from Germany described as defensive minded. His defensive skills are actually pretty advanced for someone his age and his stamina is already good enough to at least play in a backup role so he's set to be a contributor for the club well before his 18th birthday.

Araujo 21'
Juanpi 23' (Da Cruz)
Juanpi 45+'
Başaçıkoğlu 76'
Gustafson 90+'
Juanpi's hat-trick was not enough for us as we ended on the wrong side of an electric game at De Kuip. Feyenoord practically threw the kitchen sink at us and we did the same in return (we both had 11 shots, 8 on target for us, 7 for them) but Gustafson's game-winner in stoppage time of the second half was back-breaking. That's back-to-back months that we start out with a loss, frustrating to say the least even if this game was a dandy.
League Match 27
Vitesse - FC Twente (1-1)
Ibarra 68'
Veldwijk 90+' (Passlack)
Part of the frustration of the L in the prior game is that it kept us from closing the gap on Vitesse, who are having a hell of a season. We knew we were in for a battle in this game as they have given up the second least amount of goals in league play this season, and they nearly dealt us a deadly blow if not for the end-game heroics of Felix Passlack who streaked down the right wing then kissed the end line before making a deadly pass to Veldwijk for the equalizer. Good enough to keep us in the hunt.
Passlack's energy off the bench had an impact in the game for us.

It seemed to me that Michael Olaitan's hot streak had come to an end so I re-inserted Torgeir Børven into the starting lineup and his first shot within 5 minutes resulted in a handball by a Lazio defender inside the box that paved the way for Lars Veldwijk's goal in the 6th minute. That was a great start for us but we were kept in check thereafter as Lazio established a small edge over us and eventually scored the equalizer to take us all even into the second leg.
Spoiler
Vedlwijk's goal from the penalty strike.
League Match 28
FC Twente - FC Utrecht (1-0)
Passlack 48'
Olaitan 43'
Felix, you awesome little man! Passlack and a handful of our bench got to start with this game sandwiched in between our games against Lazio and it was the German who made all the difference in this game with a SUPERB free kick, shades of our time together at Dorados a few seasons ago.
Robbin Ruiter shouldn't feel bad, nobody was going to stop that.

Euro League - Round of 16, 2nd Leg
FC Twente - Lazio (2-2, 3-3 agg)
Biglia 29'
Veldwijk 55'
Børven 80' (Aké)
Keita 88'
Andersen 35'
Balde Diao Keita got loose inside our box in the 88th minute as Lazio applied pressure on us which made us crumble and the Senegalese winger scored the goal we couldn't give up with very little time for us to do anything about it to make us bow out of the UEL. Although Børven had given us the lead a few minutes earlier we all knew one more goal by Lazio would carry a lot of weight and we failed to shut them out down the stretch. Veldwijk came close to pulling off the miracle for us in stoppage time but his shot bounced off the crossbar. Once again eliminated from the UEL by an Italian club, sigh.
League Match 29
De Graafschap - FC Twente (1-3)
Koolhof 4'
Veldwijk 50' (pen)
Eghan 54' (Veldwijk)
Veldwijk 83' (pen)
Loved seeing the fight in our guys to bounce back from both the tough elimination in the UEL and the early deficit after Koolhof's score in the 4th minute. Veldwijk led the charge for us, including stealing the ball near midfield soon after his first score to then feed Eghan to put us ahead for good. We're at the point where it's becoming a must to start racking up the W's.

Review: Clinching a spot into the Champions' League next season is all we have left to show for and that's exactly what we're going to shoot for to close out this season. I won't lie, getting bounced out of the UEL last minute was rough. I know this team has had its ups and downs but I really do think we could had have a deeper run in the UEL. Right now getting back into UEL would be our fallback option but we can't lose sight of the fact that we're closer to missing out in European competitions altogether than we are to clinching that CL spot. I really don't think losing any more games is an option for us at this point and I already have to deal with the fact that this team has lost two more games this season than they did last season, therefore my only saving grace is for us to finish in a higher position than the team did last season (4th). It's been a challenging first year here at Twente but we can still close it out on a positive note.
Our scouts in Belgium, Germany, and Netherlands have finally returned from their 9-month trips and from their last reports we made some additions to the academy (for which we had to make some difficult decisions):
RW - Luciano Wildschut (65 OVR, 92-94 POT): This 15-year old from the Netherlands is unanimously our top prospect and the envy of several clubs not just locally but around Europe. His pace (80acc/70spd) and agility (77) are eye-popping for his age and he has looked great so far in the academy. We're hopeful he'll meet the hype.
LB - Odisseas Ludwig (56 OVR, 78-94)*: 15-year old from Germany described physically strong who gets your attention off the tape in the scouting report. The jumping (79), strength (79), aggression (74), and pace (75spd/74acc) are noticeable and well advanced for his age so our youth scouts will be working on developing his defensive game but he's a really exciting prospect for us right now.
CM - Stephen Schoofs (54 OVR, 81-91): 17-year old from Belgium described as a "playmaker". He's a bit too short (5'6") for my preference at the position but hopefully once he develops his skill set he'll make up for the lack of height.
RW - Rick El Makrini (52 OVR, 77-94)*: 15-year old prospect from the Netherlands with notable pace (73spd/70acc) who shows a lot of promise early on.
LW - Roy Verrips (52 OVR, 82-88): 16-year old attacking winger from the Netherlands flashing pace (75acc/73spd). We're very excited about his potential and he joins a good crop of local talent whose development will be interesting to watch.
RM - Issa Drost (60 OVR, 74-92)*: 18-year old from the Netherlands, a prospect too good to pass up even at his advanced age. He shows excellent bend on the ball (81 curve) and good short-space burst (75 acc).
GK - Olivier Ofori (50 OVR, 76-94)*: 16-year old from Belgium who has a shot to become our top goalkeeper prospect if his time in our academy confirms his potential is as high as the scouting report suggested.
RW - Nathaniel Drost (58 OVR, 79-85): Now a 16-year old from the Netherlands flashing outstanding pace (77spd/80acc) and agility (78) for his age. We're very excited local talent like him signed with our academy.
CB - Rico Kehrer (57 OVR, 78-84): Now a 16-year old from Germany joining a pipeline of centre backs from that country in our academy. He's up to 5'5" and 152lbs and continues to be considered physically strong. He's an aggressive (84) defender.
RM - Mohamed Mühren (55 OVR, 77-91): This 16-year old from the Netherlands has gotten coaches' attention in the academy, displaying more potential than initially assessed. He has very good pace (74spd/73acc), agility (73) and balance (73), a combination our coaches will try to continue to develop as well as other aspects of his game in hopes of finding a true diamond in the rough.
RW - Mauro Pröpper (54 OVR, 78-86): 15-year old from the Netherlands who is displaying very good agility (76) at a very young age to go with promising pace (72acc/67spd).
RM - Jens Schuermans (56 OVR, 76-82): 15-year old from Belgium described as a playmaker. He's only 4'8", 116lbs at the moment but he's crazy agile (76) for someone his age. He flashes some nice potential.
CDM - Denis Buysse (48 OVR, 76-82): 17-year old from Belgium described as "playmaker" who is very raw at the moment but offers solid potential. Academy trainers will need to develop him quickly early on.
GK - Nill Oulare (54 OVR, 74-80): 15-year old from Belgium who is slowly developing. We like him as our future backup GK since scouts have concluded he doesn't have starting potential.
* Recent addition
Jeroen Claes and Timo Behrens were promoted to the senior squad, Claes to provide depth and Behrens because he requested it. Jules Claeys (LB, 46 OVR with potential in the high 70's to low 80's), Joris Peters (LW, 55 OVR with potential in the mid 70's to low 80's), and Michael Kabasele (CDM, 47 OVR with potential in the high 70's to low 80's) were released from the academy to make room for some of the new additions to the youth squad.
Out top scout, Anthony Lesec from France (5-star EXP & JUD), was sent right back out to my home country in hopes we can add some Venezuelan talent to our academy.

2022 WC - CONMEBOL Qualifying
Uruguay - Venezuela - (1-2)
Martinez 9' (Del Valle)
Juanpi 31' (Rondon)
Suarez 56'
Vecino 3'
Otero 46'
Rondon 51'
Matias Vecino's red card just 3 minutes into the game weighed heavily against Uruguay and we were able to take advantage of that to take a lead they weren't able to overcome despite their best efforts. All of their shots were on target but we were able to hold them to just 5, their only goal coming on extra effort from Luis Suarez so there's no shame on that.
Venezuela - Peru (2-2)
Reyna 29'
Hurtado 33'
Peñaranda 41' (Rincon)
Del Valle 90++ (Murillo)
Martinez 35' (Bruised shoulder, out 9 days)
Peru is trying their best to not fall behind in this race and gave us everything they had early on to jump to a two-goal lead that I must admit worried me a bit. Luckily for us Adalberto Peñaranda was able to step up big following Josef Martínez' injury and Yonathan Del Valle was clutch for us once again to help us salvage a point and keep our distance from Peru in the standings.

End of the Season schedule
4/5: vs Excelsion
4/12: at Ajax
4/18: vs N.E.C.
5/3: at Heracles Almelo (Twentse Derby)
5/10: vs Willem II
It's showtime. Over the course of the season our record shows that we're better than 4 of these 5 opponents and we need to confirm that on the scoreboard. Ajax also bowed out of the UEL so I anticipate we'll face their best lineup. We lost a close one 1-2 against them earlier this season but getting an upset this time around would be huge for us.
Stay tuned and thanks for reading!Last edited by vrabbit; 10-14-2016, 02:29 PM.vrabbit

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
The transfer budget glitch thing used to be something that I had to deal with a lot back in Fifa 14 or 15. I usually worked my way around it with this:
At the end of the season you're stacked with the price money that you won, lets say that you got €30 million for finishing 3rd in the league, winning the Europa Cup, and reaching the FA Cup final. What I used to do, and it worked back in 14 and 15, is adjust the budget and throw it all the way to salary. So, for instance, the €30 million turns into, lets say 600k salary. Now, just spend that whole salary budget on a player that you want to sell/get rid off.
Just extend his contract and give him 600k salary.
When the dude accepts, he now has a salary of 600k a week. This will be transfered to the next season, obviously. When the next season starts, sell the player or trade him for another player. This way, you'll release the 600k salary that he's holding up, and there you go. The money gets added back to your budget. This used to work when the transfer budget situation was still a thing, but they kinda fixed it last year. Looks like it's back this year, though.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Well, I started my Nantes career but ended up rage quitting after being screwed in 2 straight preseason games against much lesser competition. Don't even want to touch that again.
I may have to drop down to World Class just to save my sanity.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
He is too old and juve wants 11 million. I signed Ntep and Saponara, both will join after the season. For immediate change I got Grimaldo in exchange for 20 million plus abate. I also am deciding either between Musacchio to strengthen my Defense or Baselli for my midfield. Only have money for one. Damn. The AI doesn't want to be my guys it seems so I can make more cash.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
I'm quite annoyed with the fact that almost every player that is over 30 starts declining straight away. I was able to buy 33-34 year olds in Fifa 16, and still make them grow a little. Cazorla, for instance, in MGH's Arsenal career started declining straight away even though he played almost every game.Comment
