I use his default sliders for exactly that reason. He works on em and tests constantly. You can't keep changing them or of course you're gonna start getting wonky results and inconsistency. I've played like 25 games on this set and I love it. It is a bit easy, but thibk of your squads. Are you buying a **** load of work class players? Did you set up your squad to be truly dominant? Well then that's why you win easy! I'm Bayer Leverkusen and I don't buy many players. Just slowly growing my squad. It's really ****ing good rn and I do get lots of wins. Now, when I play Bayern Munich and BVB, those are tough as hell teams to beat. The sliders are very consistent in how the game plays out. I'll every 8-10 games have some blowout, like right now down 4-0 to 6th place Shalke and I'm 2 in the table. I just don't have it figured out I guess, I've used a different squad for this game than my usual starting 11 and hey! It ain't easy. Love the challenge and the random games where nothing works for me. Anyways, keep Matt's sliders and do about 20 games before you decide what's really working or not.

Totally agree.. it really depends on what team you’re using. I always go for the teams that are in the middle of the pack with a bunch of youngsters I can develop and a small transfer budget. I like to slowly try to claw my way up by making my players better and selling my veterans to make money to buy young talent and build the team the way I want. If I finish top ten in my league or don’t get fired, I’m pretty happy lol.

Now I’d you’re using Liverpool and have a 120 million transfer budget, I just don’t see how you could complain if you never lose.

I'm having a ton of fun with the set as is. currently on WC, {50/52 descrepancy} manual shooting and a mix of semi/assisted for the other controls. There's ways to exploit the game on every difficulty if you want to and that's a limitation of the game. I choose not to because that's no fun for me.

The German leagues are a lot fun this year. Funny so many people are giving the Bundesliga a run this year.

Spoiler alert for any future CM videos I upload but season 4 I've finally got promoted to the Bundesliga and looking at the team ratings almost everyone is a good 10 points better than my squad. And it's a battle every game. I didn't want to just buy a bunch of new players to compete. I'm just slowly trying to build a team while avoiding going back down. Instead of being an aggressive high press team like I was in Bundesliga 2 now I have to focus on keeping a clean sheets and hoping to knick a goal on the counter.

At this point I'm not expecting much more in the way of CM improvements this year. Only thing I hope EA can sort out is the best teams never losing and the worst teams never winning.

I honestly believe the key to making the game harder is setting through ball to manual.

It singlehandedly makes it harder to play out from the back under pressure into perfect counter attacks. Although it obviously makes creating chances harder it's really in your defensive third where through ball on assisted really gives you an advantage over the cpu.

That's a good approach. Think it should be quite difficult to hit the ground running upon promotion. Look at SC Paderborn right now as a good example. Can expect the same from Hamburg when they most likely get promoted. You've got some players to build around though, and I really enjoy those. Even though you post the videos in the CM thread, feel free to do so here to. Like last year, it was a lot of fun watching everyone's matches and highlights of the sliders in play. I could do the same as I'm enjoying my CM with Crawley Town and Manager Matt Ten out not to get sacked for the 100th time!

Looking for some advice -- struggling a bit with the gap in difficulty between World Class and Legendary.

Control setup is manual through ball, manual short pass/lob pass, semi shooting, semi crossing.

Currently using the OP set with the 50/52 discrepancy for WC. Spent a bit of time playing on Legendary and...it was fine, but there's just something frantic about it -- I can't quite put my finger on it, but the way the CPU plays just doesn't sit well with me. And don't get me started playing the high pressing teams, that just gets insane.

So I think I've settled on WC, but would like to make it a biiiiiit more difficult. I suppose the easy changes would be to go to full manual shooting and crossing.

Wondering if there might be another slider solution? Increase the acc discrepancy? Or perhaps a sprint discrepancy?

BTW, am I the only one that reeaaaaallly misses the pre-match screen where you got to see the opposing teams formation and player ratings? I feel like it helped me really get to know the opposition and think more about my strategy.

Unfortunately the only way to get it up now is to activate a second player controller before the match.

Go back to playing Legendary and keep your same controls except short pass to assisted. Believe me man, it did wonders for my game and I still struggle quite a bit. When the cpu knows you have a hard time passing the press the heck out of you. If you don’t like assisted short pass at least try semi. Your game will improve but it won’t be too easy since you’re still using lob and through on manual

I think I'm over legendary. Ping pong passing around crazy high presses with assisted passing doesn't really appeal to me. Leaning towards full manual and seeing how that does.

After doing some research on fouls and the refs in general.. I noticed that fifa hasn’t changed their refs since 2014 which was also the last year you could tell how strict they were with fouls and cards. So I decided to keep backing out the game until I had a ref with strict fouls and my first game was encouraging.

I fouled the Cpu 6 times
Cpu fouled me 5 times.

This was on ten minute halves/legendary was OP set only change to sprint speed 50/50.

I think Aaron was doing this at one point as well.

It's cool that they have ref strictness built in makes things intersting. Like was mentioned a few posts back just give a foul slider and all would be good.

Slightly related but they (EA) claimed they couldn't put VAR in the game because the game can't make bad calls but in MLB the Show there is a setting that gives umpires individual strike zones and even has them make occasionally bad calls. So it's definitely not a matter of the can't do it but they won't and I imagine it's to please the UT crowd because god forbid a football game actually reflects football.

Same. It's a basic part of sports gaming they've neglected. This was one of the many suggestions I've made over on the EA forums that most likely will remain ignored.

Looks so real! Can i have more details about Your settings llike sliders, ,manual controlls? Also, the camera You're using, does it habe an impact on gameplay at all. or can i just use different instead?

I haven't made any changes to the OP set, I play on World Class using semi passing, crosses, assisted through balls and lobs with manual shooting. I have pass receiver lock set to early. The camera is broadcast with height and zoom both at 0. Camera doesn't effect gameplay as far as I know it just takes some time to adjust to the angle.
