Re: FIFA 20 OS Community Sliders
Good point. It is doing fine at 51, so leave it as is. I'll update the OP in the wording when I get the chance. Thanks!Comment

Re: FIFA 20 OS Community Sliders
I think it's good amendments Matt.
RF was definitely too big on 5, I was feeling like on a sprint run during my couple of games on it. Complete end to end, action after action. Very happy about that adjustment now when it get back to 2.
I'll give it a proper shot now, this new amendments v2b3.Comment

Re: FIFA 20 OS Community Sliders
Played 2 games my self with the amended set and really enjoyed it.
The CPU actually would build up and pass it around and try to get me to over commit but not in that cheat-y, fast pass 10 times between the same two players way.
Defenders seem to actually be aware of what's on the field cutting off long ground passes and trying to get in between the ball and the pass receiver. AI is still dumb but a little more active.
FT increase takes a bit of adjustment but it's great. Tackles are truly 50/50 and don't always result in the user or CPU winning the ball. You will also see loose balls go into open space like the should.
Overall great stuff over the last two days and the most recent changes are spot on. The biggest way I found to appreciate the set is stepping back and trying to compare to what I see IRL instead of how a game FIFA usually is. Most of us here want a realistic game experience and when you compare the current set to IRL your enjoyment should go up. It's not a 1:1 representation but that's down to the limits of the game not the sliders.

Re: FIFA 20 OS Community Sliders
Does anyone know what causes this and/or how to fix it? Scoring headers is hard enough as it is this year, let alone with this crap happening. My intended targets are often doing this - running ahead of the ball and swinging at air by head and foot. Not sure if it's slider related. I use semi-assisted passing, crossing and shooting.

Did any of you guys noticed this kind of weird behaviour of CPU - they running on the flank, have no options to pass nor cross, so instead they sending long high ball to their defense, which in most cases landing to feet of my striker or crowd? Id doesn't happen too often, but I've seen it like two, three times in my last couple of games.Comment

Seems like bad positioning and timing, more like controlling the player (yours) fault than bug to me?

FIFA's gameplay DNA is based on dribble-dribble-pass, and if they run out of the immediate pass options, they resolve to find the next immediate open man instead of taking a chance and sending a cross in.
I had it happen in stream yesterday, so I'll pull the footage and see what the runs off the ball are doing, or what the opponent's defensive line is doing. My hunch is it's a timing in which they know the player is offsides and at the last second they choose not to take that chance. The behavior seems similar to FIFA 14 when the advanced player would choose to dribble instead of shoot/pass in obvious positions.Comment

Yeah I've noticed that even before the V2B2 and V2B3. Have seen it on default as well.

So I guess this is the situation where EA coders filled up their abilities and engine to maximum and didn't know how to overcome this kind of situation. Probably unfixable. Hopefully new engine on PS5 will get rid this kind of situations.

Re: FIFA 20 OS Community Sliders
My game is running really strangely most of the time now. Speed is ridiculous and players move like a tide all sweeping forward and back. Animations go so fast in final third it almost skips them. Ruins the game. Occasionally I turn on and its playing well but 50/50. Might try resetting sliders and then moving them back again after saving. This happened loads to me on 19 as well so annoyingLast edited by sih1984; 11-18-2019, 03:02 PM.Comment

Good to know I'm not the only one who experienced that.

There are a couple ways to tackle this. My very, very, brief test was adjust Sprint Speed to match pass speed at 48. This usually syncs things back as well. Once I did this, instantly I could see the difference in choices made. From early crosses, early through balls and lofted ones.
Also, saw some previous physicality that was not there in terms of the momentum pushes that would normally not be recognized by the referee:
So, I've got something to tinker with. I feel the base set is quite close though. Once that is established, others can make adjustments for their own personal preferences of course. Not sure if it will warrant its own thread, but times have changed. I enjoy reading about others findings and stories in here.Comment

Re: FIFA 20 OS Community Sliders
I'm not sure about FB Pos @ 0 either. It definitely reigns in the end-to-end, counter down the flanks play, but at what cost? I haven't tested extensively with different teams - particularly those known for attacking fullbacks - but the early returns from a few games in my Mainz CM have inching it up to 5 to match my run frequency setting. Not sure it's properly balanced, as I can see where Matt is coming from that FB behavior didn't change much until it was zeroed out.Comment
