    I played two games last night. First one I played as Chelsea against Fulham and lost 6-3. I was thinking Legendary might be too difficult for me again but I played another game as Hull City vs Ipswich and won 6-2. I've no issue at all scoring on Harder Legendary sliders. I just need to improve defending. However, I feel like the CPU even on Legendary are too easy to beat with dribbling which then leaves loads of room to sprint into and have a clear attempt on goal.
    That's cus the A.I in this game is absolutely useless. It's like the User has the plaque n the CPU want nothing to do with u . Total of 15 goals in 2 games on legendary .... They roll out the red carpet for u to get in on goal .

      Regarding shot power/speed, I can’t say I’ve noticed anything out of the ordinary on Legendary. The only thing I’m still noticing is that with Precision Shooting on, some shots do have more power. Finesse shots outside the box are a little OP too, but finesse shots aren’t affected by the shot error or speed sliders, apparently. I’ve been meaning to test 50/50 GK Ability as well as I’m still noticing some dodgy goalkeeping animations on 49/49.
      Yeah we've bumped the pass speed to 38 throughout to get the ball more lively again. Basically as soon as the ball starts bouncing on the ground is the point of reference and that seems to start at 38.


      Keeper are strange. I think it's more of a shot speed thing, but think the GK value needs to be at 50 or above regardless. Too many animations that seem out of sync.

        Thanks, Matt. Just for clarity, what are the Shot Speed and GK Ability values in those two vids? And what difficulty are the two vids?

          Wow. Your sliders have saved the game for me. I use default as I thought slow was too sluggish and they work fantastic! Now if they would just improve marking and goalkeeping via update I'll be happy. Oh, and all the bugs currently in career mode. My games are finishing 1-0, 2-0, 2-2, got crushed by Arsenal 3-0. Even had a 0-0 match.

              Hey man - in that first video was on the V2 shot speed/GK of Legendary. The 2nd was on Leg 40 shot speed and 51 GK.

              46 Shot speed seems to be the best for WC, while 40 Shot Speed seems to be best for Legendary and Ultimate.

              We're still testing some things though. Some guys had mentioned the dribbling ease, we think that's because the very tight lines (mainly length). I personally haven't been able to do it, but doesn't mean it shouldn't be addressed. Shape wise is looking better, we're leaning towards a HLW of 50/35/49 - as testing with 38 length was done for a long time, but the gaps were a bit large at times. The good thing is, unlike last year and previous, the above 32 length still brings the defensive mids back, however this year we have to balance it out with increasing RF so the runs are varied. Currently at 35 RF. This way the CPU isn't just holding up the ball in the box and waiting for a cutback pass - which happens a lot in legendary as is.

              I will post a testing set shortly in the OP and on here. I just haven't had a chance to revisit some values for myself yet (damn work), but will get to it shortly.

                Yes there is a ton of passing and probing from cpy on legendary. It's a very strenuous activity to defend and not get caught gambling lol

                  Cheers to all! It's been far too long since I interacted with this great thread, but happy to pop in for FC 24.

                  I've been enjoying my time with the new edition, doubly so since the V2 drop. My stick skills have eroded as I've barely put much time in the last 3 FIFA's, but plugging along in 15th with MUFC- which based on IRL, isn't too far off of reality lol!

                  My question/observation today is regarding CPU crossing. Whether tactics, or maybe related to RF or pass speed, I'm simply not seeing AI fullbacks cross the ball into the box... at all. I have run several games intentionally leaving the wide player with space to cross, and no chance to make a penetrating run. They will just recycle the ball and push for their inevitable shot just inside the 18 yard box.

                  Is anyone else experiencing this and any thoughts on how/if we can improve that? I'm not looking for old school spray and pray on crosses, but the AI attack does seem to be a bit one-dimensional where they have a clear desire to pass it around until a shot can occur from the middle of the pitch, just inside the 18.

                  FC24 has done a lovely job in many other areas of the game, areas that were simply unplayable in 21-23 with the introduction of "user defending" all over the pitch. It's a big step up this year, not perfect, but heck its a video game- we have to concede on some things.

                    Hello, I am playing on normal speed with lower rated teams and I've seen a fair amount of AI crosses.
                    I am wondering if the amount of AI crosses is also influenced by your own team defensive tactics. Personally I like to play Balanced, Defensive width 55, Defensive height 65.

                      Updating settings in the main menu will still apply to your career mode, even if you’ve already started it.

                          How has everyone found the shooting speed on Legendary and/or World Class? I've felt like the power is crazy and makes the speed crazy fast. Basically ignoring the shot error.


                          I’ve precision shooting on. Dropped the shot speed to 46 for me but kept the 48 for CPU. Both have the same feel.

                            Has anyone else seen any injuries (playing on PC myself)? I have set Inj Frequency to 65 and severity to 35 and I am yet to see any in-game injuries on 3 different saves. I am on my 3rd season in my main United save and haven't seen a single injury.

                            Injuries are turned on in the Settings.
