Re: EA SPORTS FC 24 OS Community Sliders
I think so many people are experiencing a placebo. Especially when you overanalyze every single motion, zooming in on replays, etc. To the point you get caught in slider madness and actually take away the moment and excitement of matches.
Played 4 matches since the update and it's playing amazingly. Using a personal variation of the WC normal set - 6min. I'm seeing a lot of variety and teams playing to their style, as well as players. Scores have been right on point. Using Girona in CM last 4 score lines have been...
vs Real Madrid 0-3 L
vs Las Palmas 1-1 D
vs ??? 2-1 W (Can't remember who I beat atm)
vs Celtic 0-2 L
Games have been exciting and VERY challenging on both sides of the ball. Seeing crosses when they have the opportunity, skills-moves on occasion from players with high dribbling, long shots, headers, etc. Defense is definitely the most challenging aspect this year as we all know. Positioning and angles is everything. AI WILL burn you for overpursuing the ball or not taking away shot angles. Using RB to help cut off angles is key. Also, there's a double tap RB this year that makes the HUM AI man mark the nearest man, still learning this.
This is the most fun I've ever had on FIFA. Appreciate the work Matt and team.Comment

Re: EA SPORTS FC 24 OS Community Sliders
Just had probably the best match I’ve played on FC 24 so far. After playing around with the sliders a bit last night, I went straight back to the V4 Legendary Slow set today post-update (XSX).
I played as West Ham and beat Everton 2-0. 51-49 possession, 11-9 shots, 1.7xG apiece. That’s with the CPU shot & pass error reduced to 70 too (from the harder set), so possibly a tweak needed there judging by the xG. 8 min halves.
The keepers made some really nice saves (even a couple at the near post that would’ve definitely gone in before the update!) and the animations looked great.
I tried to imitate how Matt plays in his videos - as in, when the CPU regain possession, just retreat a little and let them have the ball, rather than instantly trying to win it back and dragging players out of position. The CPU play was varied, plenty of crosses when I backed off the attacker a little with my full-back. They naturally made mistakes, or had shots that were blocked, allowing me to regain possession. The game didn’t feel sped up or frantic at all, in fact it felt great.
I do think there’s a lot to be said for the different ways in which we all play the game, and the impact that has on our perception of how the game feels, not just in terms of pace/speed.Comment

And few people are playing in Ultimate ?

Unfortunately something is off again with the pace(( before the update it was really a realistic gameplay now its back again to the good old hectic fifa gameplay. players go for the ball just like they have been struck by lighting. i disconnected from servers etc etc but it felt super fast again. was perfect until yesterday. tbh on ps4 played much nicer but on ps5 horrible

New bug after the update : Whenever there is a set piece in the match (throw in, penalty, free kick, corner) the brightness of the game drops by at least 50%. You have to press options and open the menu and then resume match in order for the brightness to go back up to normal. I am on PS5.

Re: EA SPORTS FC 24 OS Community Sliders
Was just trying to hold on for dear life against Atletico Madrid . They are relentless, very tough game . If anyone watches make sure to notice what happens at 5:17 when I have the ball with Caquret , how 2 Atletico players just get out my way . This is my biggest issue, but besides that this was great . Winless in my first 4 games !

Yeah that's DAA at it's finest. I am begining to believe it's a hard coded difficulty thing. It happens a lot on world class and very rarely on legendary and I think it's part of what was do was to make it easier or harder. But yeah we fight DAA every year.

Yeah it sucks . But I may be wrong , but I always remembered DAA in prior FIFAs happening on odd angles and was fixable . But here it's just awful at times , when ur simply moving straight at them they now do this .. I have not tried legendary this year , so will see tomorrow if I experience it on legendary. But again such a great game that was , just that one moment where if I really wanted to walk right in again n possibly score , I could have . But instead I just took a dumb shot cus I don't wanna score n beat the cpu that way

I have also noticed that DAA can feel way more pronounced against pressing teams because it happens in open field. When DAA happens around the box against a low block team it's not as much an eye sore because there are players around to close down quick.
