What team did you see that didn't cross the ball with it at 72 versus one that crossed with it on 58?

I just played leg slow v Sunderland and they wouldn't cross on the left side, but on the right they sent multiple crosses in.

On Legendary the CPU likes to ping pong passes as their form of attack, sometimes with no hesitation. By raising the value, they still make mistakes, they still have good attack, but they do much less ping pong passing and they perform how we as the user can perform. In my experience, and others I've asked, the crossing doesn't just go away because of pass error. I believe it comes down to the tactics more than anything. Some teams cross from a certain side, some teams cross with only their fullbacks and refuse to cross as inverted wingers.

If there's a team that has been tested to isolate the pass error, then definitely let's research it. I personally don't think it's an issue, and globally the lower values create more problems on Legendary.

Can I just ask now, what will happen if we reduce the Pass Error of the CPU and at the same time reduce the Pass Speed to 30 or even below that? Will the CPU still make those ping pong passes at a lower Pass Speed?

Is this also possible on the PS5 by deleting the settings? How do I do it on the PS5? Delete the FC 24 settings folder in the Playstation 5 menu and then start the game to create a new file?

My games gone to the rats

Was loving V4 sliders. Didnt want to update to latest update so simply been offline. For some reason this afternoon the games gone bonkers. Speed is insane and balls pinging about everywhere. Can't defend as players twisting and turning at such speed I can't keep up. Tried playing with sliders and turning match speed to slow. Made no difference at all. Its like its completely broken.

Any ideas?

First of all, Matt, what a generous spirit to share all this tinkering, thank you.

I'm a new convert away from FUT, the sliders have really improved my experience but I'm struggling with one thing.

CPU pass error on 72 - is it forcing them to avoid too many low % plays? I can play a full 6 minute half and the ball doesn't go out of play at all. The AI is playing so tight and cautiously.

This is across a few Premiership games and teams, not isolated to one playing style.

Main menu -> Game setting -> profile -> delate

Then delate all your files or leave career mode save

So this talk of deleting personal setting is it a real bug or something that is affecting specific people?

I’m on Xbox & never have I deleted my personal settings. I have had to delete the DLC file from fifa 23 after a couple of patches but that was it.

Looks like you PlayStation guys are having some real issues with this game & bugs!!!!

Reducing pass error means better contact, which means they will try to find the shortest route through your defensive set up. The CPU on Legendary especially takes pass error quite literally as in lower pass error = lower percentage of missing. So reducing speed won't do too much other than kill the ball physics to the point it feels like a medicine ball (no bounce, deflections don't go as far, etc).

The CPU on legendary likes its pass completion % and will try to maintain a high number. Even those that are kick and rush or long ball teams, the ball rarely goes into significant space. This is why they have a tendency to not cross in obvious positions compared to world class (they still cross a lot more than they ever did in 23).

The only way to really know what pass error works for you is to test the same game over and over and see if anything made a difference. Remember, everyone is in their own CM and playing at a certain level of quality, or lack of, so the value has to cover a lot of playstyles and abilities within those playstyles.
