Hi everyone! I just created an account to say a massive "Thank you!" to Matt10 and to other people involved in making the game playable through slider changes.

Yesterday I started experiencing the crazy gameplay speed up where a CDM would take the ball and carve his way up to my goal just dribbling. I'm playing on WC, slow pace, 10 mins, using V4 and connected to EA servers.

Seeing several suggestions here, I deleted the DLC assets file and then proceeded to reload the profile settings. The game became calmer again and I could enjoy playing it.

It seems to happen when leaving the game for like ten minutes without doing any input on the controller. So if you need to bake a pie in the kitchen, exit the entire game first!

It seems to happen when leaving the game for like ten minutes without doing any input on the controller. So if you need to bake a pie in the kitchen, exit the entire game first!

Ok thank you will give that a go! I definitely let that happen somtimes so will make sure not to. Excited to give these sliders a go.

Create/add another PS5 user profile , I don't know how many u can create but I have 3 and anytime I get the wacky ultra fast gameplay I just log out that account and switch to the next one . It's super quick n easy to just switch Users. This seems to do the trick for me .

I understood ! You make this on the PS5 menu, not on the EA FC 24 menu. Is that ?
But, you can t use the same safeguard carreer manager on the 3 profile. Is that right ?

Right u make it on the main PS5 menu . Yeah so u can't continue the same career on all profiles. I for example am playing 3 different Career modes , on each profile I have a different career mode going .. And whenever one of them gets that chaotic fast gameplay I just switch to one of my other career modes . This always helps me whenever I get that ugly fast gameplay.

Played some more matches tonight using Harder Legendary (Slow) set but with 50/50 Sprint Speed instead of 5/5. Much better and much more enjoyable. No CB jockey by the CPU. They closed down properly, tracked runners properly and everything you expect from real life professional football instead of letting my right-back gallop 70 yards unopposed into the box for a one-on-one shot on goal.

Not saying Matt and everyone else is wrong for using 5/5 Sprint Speed on Slow but it’s just not enjoyable for me. I want a challenge. My last game I lost 2-1 as Swansea vs Leicester. Two possession teams in-game and irl and whilst possession stats were quite even, the CPU as Leicester dominated me. CPU had 22 shots to my 12 and apart from my late goal, it was so hard to break them down.

I played a kick off match tonight and all was working normally. I then downloaded the latest squad update and the game was beyond a joke fast and I won 8-0. Felt like standard slider settings on default game speed and all of a sudden I had the brightness bug that would dim the brightness on every corner etc.



I deleted my setting and DLC save and still hasn't fixed it. Sliders have no effect at all. Game is locked on absurd arcade nonsense speed. Utterly unplayable.



I have spent the entire night trying to get the sliders to work again but to no avail. Doesn't matter what mode I play the game is totally broken.


Simply cannot get the sliders or game speed to work or go back to sensible. I'm absolutely done with this game. I have been with FIFA games since the very first one but I have had enough. It's profoundly broken and buggy and I actually get the feeling this is being done delibrately at this point.



The game is unplayable. And none of the suggestions here have fixed it. For those of you thinking....."well, it must be him because it hasn't happen to me".......When it does happen there is no mistaking it. All your hard work with sliders is irrelevant because they no longer work when it does. The difference to when the sliders work and when they don't is night and day and mine no longer work.


The quicker EA dies as a company the better.

I've had this happen. All I can say is if you shut down and give it a few hours (or over night) and reboot, it'll often kick back in properly. I have no idea why, but my best guess is the memory/cache artifacts. I understand how frustrating it can be though. Probably even more than when a cpu lowly rated player scores a screemer fom over 30 yards with a defender tackling them to tie the game... new title but sometimes fifa is still going to fifa.

All I can say is I feel ur pain . When it's playing at actual ' Slow Speed ' and with the sliders applied and working , it's far from perfect but it's enjoyable . But the inconsistency in gameplay is awful . It's crazy how no one really ever experienced this except me and a handful of other guys all these years , but now this year it seems like nearly everyone has this issue now . It's like EA monitors all we say , and if u ever said anything negative about them they bug ur account n give u this issue on purpose lol
