I'm on PS5 and have never had this issue. I have 2 thoughts. #1 Disc or NO #2 Do you save, close game, then enter rest or power off? I wouldn't leave the app suspended then go into rest mode

I have a digital version. Without connecting to EA servers, yesterday I left it in rest mode all day, started it 3 times - everything works well) FIFA 23 reset all settings if you do this. Or if your gamepad turned off while the game was running, also reset all settings. I don’t see such a gap here) Do you have problems with brightness?

I’m on PS5 and have never had an issue with settings resetting.

Maybe it’s a controller being swapped mid game ?
Not being connected online? (Settings are uploaded to the server).

I just noticed something when doing a few kick of match training exercise, and I was wondering if anyone else noticed the same in game. I was struggling to get reasonable power on free kicks, which was similar in the training session, but then I did the"timed finishing" that was displayed and the power was back to normal(strong kicks) when green timing or close to green timing. When clicking too late there was no power - like what I had been experiencing when just clicking one and ignoring timed finishing What surprised me is I have turned finishing turned off so I didn't expect any impact - but there was in training. I haven't tried in game, but I will. I believe timed finishing comes up on free kicks even if you have it turned off but I'm not 100% sure. Has anyone else noticed this? It might be a helpful tip if it's true.

So basically you have to delete profile and dlc file once in a while even if EA hasn’t updated the game? (I never connect to their server)

It’s almost like a meta game in it self trying to understand and what to do to enjoy the game, EA Fix Game 24.

Recap for all of you because this is off-topic: ONLY IF YOU FEEL YOUR GAME IS FEELING LIKE SLIDERS ARE NOT WORKING AS USUAL OR GAME IS FASTER THAN IS SUPPOSED TO BE.

If you feel the game is always playing as it should, then you don't need to worry about the next steps:

First. If your controller battery runs out in the middle of a game, you MAY need to apply the sliders again.

Second. Whenever EA uploads the game, and only if you feel that the game is playing faster, go to the main menu, settings, profile, delete, and delete the "DLC" file.

Third. Try to play offline. If a squad update is available, connect to the server, download it, and then restart your game offline.

You may need to apply sliders ONLINE, restart your game, and apply them offline.

Is this issue only documented on PS? I am on PC and I might have experienced it once. It was right when V4 came out, I played after a day or two and the gameplay was super fast even on slow. But then I took a break and when I came back two days later the game felt fine again. Don't know if it was only my perception playing with me.

Some pretty shocking CB jockey by the CPU (again!) using V4 Harder Legendary (Slow) set.

I know Matt and others say they can’t replicate it but this happens at least once a game for me and this example here is just ridiculous. Completely breaks immersion. I’ve given 5/5 Sprint Speed a fair go but it just doesn’t work on Slow Pace. I’m going back to 50/50 Sprint Speed and 51/51 Acceleration like FIFA 23.

I'm not sure what's wrong, but the game is just acting weird. Any time I start the game, the first match seems to be OK - the sliders are working, the pace is nice. And then every successive game is just super fast, the players are just gliding above the pitch, very arcadey feel. I delete the DLC and the personal settings, restart the game, don't connect to the EA servers, but it still remains fast.

Still, you need to delete both files. I was doing a test, the game works fine until it downloads the update file. As I understand it, this file is responsible for those updates that they can make online. Once it happened that even without connecting to the servers the game became faster, I restarted it and the file was already downloaded. You need to periodically go into your profile and see whether it’s worth it or not) Although you can understand the difference by changing the speed of the game. By the way, I play on PS5 and I don’t have any problems with brightness. Immediately after the update, the players moved in jerks, after deleting personal settings and the online update file, everything became fine. So it may be that not all PS 5 owners have a brightness error.

This weekend, i deleted the both file, i reinstalled the game and i never logged in to the servers. After that, the game was perfect ! (Sliders V4, slow, ultimate).
But tonight, i logged to the servers and the gameplay became faster than before. So i did the same thing but it didn't work. The gameplay is too fast ! Any solution ??? A Real solution ! It make me crazy !

Create/add another PS5 user profile , I don't know how many u can create but I have 3 and anytime I get the wacky ultra fast gameplay I just log out that account and switch to the next one . It's super quick n easy to just switch Users. This seems to do the trick for me .

Very strange. I fortunately haven't seen anything that blatant in my matches (wc slow).It would definitely kill any satisfaction from breaking down the AI.

We tested for 10 hours, trying different situations, in order to find good gameplay with a connection to the servers (I organize 2x2 tournaments, to save the user’s personal settings, a connection to the servers is required). Sometimes even without connecting to the servers, the update file was downloaded. Now, every time I start, I go in and check for its presence in my profile. Try deleting again, there is no point in reinstalling the game, everything works as is. Now it’s been 3 days, I’m not connecting to the servers and everything is working fine, the file is not downloading.

My player did the same thing but it was a terrible result that I thought should have been a goal if they just did a normal header or volley. I think it gets caught between 2 animations because of the defender.
