My suspicion is that it's pass error and first touch error, makes the AI be more conservative because they can't pass forward incisively and at pace. Which is what you want to make it feel like actual football but think it's just gone a little too far.


Still grinding out a 1-0 win like this is much better than the 5-4 games I was having before on world class without sliders

Does lower pass error and FT for the CPU work for your experience?

On WC 6 mins (I do think the time dictates how the CPU plays) I find they like to pass forward a lot. I’d to see them shoot from distance more. I wonder if lowering shot error might work.

Yeah I've always found WC too easy no matter what the settings. I'm interested to see if the difficulty has increased this year, not played yet.

Regarding long range shooting, I think it's just a Fifa AI thing, they have rarely shot from range for years now.

I've hit a couple nice goal for outside the box so far.

Difficulty is a funny one as world class for me is a challenge but if I stack my side with talent it can become too easy. In saying that I haven't attempted any thing higher than world class for a few years.

Weirdly, iv just played 2 teams who used “kick & rush “ tactics. In both games they attempted shots from outside the box. Even scored one. Shot error remained at 75 pass error up a touch to 75 seems a sweet spot on legendary for me. Enjoyable, closely fought games. Using 7 minute halves.

Weirdly, iv just played 2 teams who used “kick & rush “ tactics. In both games they attempted shots from outside the box. Even scored one. Shot error remained at 75 pass error up a touch to 75 seems a sweet spot on legendary for me. Enjoyable, closely fought games. Using 7 minute halves.

And I played a “kick and rush team” who didn’t take any long range shots yet passed through me (not around) at will and went 2-0 up.

Having checked their tactics they play fast build up and forward runs. Width and depth 60. Defensive width 40. They go pressure after possession lose. They hounded me all over the pitch including attackers.

They played like I want to but I just seem to get my team to do it.

There is definitely a correlation between the tactics and the sliders. Just don’t know what it is lol

Maybe i missing something but even on ultimate difficulty the CPU is very Bad.
Sliders help for how the CPU play but not on how well it play.
I play with the PSG against weaker team in french League but winning with 8 or 9 goals make career mode lame....

Semi and slow. Defenders cant keep UP with my fast attackers .

That's one of the drawbacks of using a team with Mbappe (or Haaland etc). They're petty overpowered in game, which is why they cost so much in UT. The Ai doesn't seem to account for them well enough either, which makes it worse. If you want a cb to keep up with Mbappe (and others) you'll need some significant speed and acceleration differences favoring the AI to nerf him. Alternatively, going with manual controls is what a lot of us do to make it a greater challenge. He'll still run/dribble through the opposition but passing to him and finishing is tougher at least!

Try giving cpu a point or two boost on acceleration.

Wings are too open and a exploit at this time . No sprint needed again , just slowly keep moving. They did try to make a challenge, but only once I went all the way back into my half . This is a frequent occurrence

I haven't experienced this - just curious, are you R1 dribbling the whole time? The ai may be waiting for a heavy touch and laying back until they see one, but the close dribble keeps it from happening. Perhaps something like the ai on drop back/counter or something similar results in that behaviour.

If you pass does the ai press from the heavier touches?

Too good??? I think they are absolutely trash . I had to bump up my GK sliders for user n cpu cus the most outrageous ridiculous crap was constantly going in ...

Maybe I should try and increase the shot power slider a bit?

Really confused by the free kicks as well. The ball bounces or hits the wall despite the shot power. Even the worst player in the world should be able to get it on goal without the bounce but that doesn’t seem possible. Don’t think it’s related to the sliders though?!

To me it looks like the R1 dribble is being used cos when he changed direction it knocked the ball ahead.

With R1 they don’t really tackle, you have to use it in certain situations & not all the time.

Although as you weren’t a threat they actually jockeyed you down the wing really well.

Sure, so as u may remember I'm not a expert with the height/length/width sliders . I just don't have that knowledge in these areas and they are so crucial .
As far as marking goes I clearly remember u saying not to go above 50 as is . But I did test with higher marking n made little difference. So only thing I really did was edit team tactics n instructions with 2nd controller method prior to each match .
The very narrow teams defensively I stretched out a bit to make them be wider . And I don't know if this can be fixed with sliders or not ? Not trying to complain here , but again I'm just surprised people aren't seeing this ( World Class -Slow ) If u have a suggestion with regards to the H/L/W sliders, if I should be raising or decreasing I'll gladly test n see if something helps. Should I raise width ?
