    Great sliders Matt! Game is starting to look great compared to the mess EA give us.

    I am however finding and have found over the last few sliders including the beta ones that my striker is not making runs into the box as much and is usually sitting on the edge of the area even when in good crossing positions.

    Is anybody else finding this?

    I have him on stay forward, get in behind and aggressive.

      I'd say start with looking at his work rates and remove the instructions. The game sometimes plays better with everyone on Balanced than everyone with minute instructions. There is a lot of hidden instructions and invisible walls in Fifa because of UT, they don't want certain instructions to break the game there, so some things don't work sometimes (like CB with Join the Attack).

        Hi. Can I use these sliders for Career mode if I am mainly playing with "Tactical vision" Like I watch the AI control my team.

          The length looks good with the discrepancy, can’t remember which Fifa had that last but wasn’t that long ago.

          As for pass speed at 42, I found on slow ( not tested normal) there were some weird animations whereas on 41 it was smooth.

            Well, I lied, the pass speed has really opened up our interest in testing when it is paired with pass error values. As a result, we are rolling with the following to be tested:



            The shot errors for Legendary also take advantage of the different ways the ball moves at the higher pass speed, so raising it reduces perfect strike contact the way it has before.

            The main adjustment with the pass error though is the pass speed for the CPU, and for the user on Legendary. The way the CPU attacks now is so much more calmer, but not passive. It's very similar to what we found in FIFA 23 in that the CPU is not trying to expose defenses constantly, where it feels like everyone on the team can make every key pass. In fact, with these changes, it feels like the player roles matter so much more.

            Because we don't have to worry of being constantly bombarded with key passes or shots in an unrealistic fashion, the testing length values of 30/32 just aren't necessary. There is enough time for teams to get numbers back, but it all depends on team tactics. Whether that be the defending team or the attacking team, it just depends.

            Try it out and report back. Make sure to test variety of team tactics against the CPU. Thanks!

              Thank you Matt and everyone for your work. I've stuck to the V4/V5Bx since the TU4 update but I finally decided to give the latest ones a shot.
              Went back to default pace and my players feel more responsive now. I like slow pace more but it's unplayable sometimes, so I guess it is what it is.
              Will play some CM games with different teams and see how it goes.

                I'm playing slow WC and enjoying it so much. I haven't seen DAA in a while either. I can't win. R1 dribble isn't easy to boot. Streaming now:

                  I'm currently playing on 6 mins default pace with V6B1 and semi shooting/lob through balls and it feels good. I dunno if they've done a live update or what but the AI doesn't just run down the wing anymore, which is good.
                  I think there's a little DAA in default pace but idrc tbh. I like the possibility of being able to do solo runs.
                  Although the pass speed feels a bit odd to me on default pace. Might need to get used to it but I kinda like it because the CPU makes more mistakes now.


                  Will try with more teams and see how it goes. Might also go back to slow pace cause it looks pretty good on your streams. Hope the CPU doesn't play like mbappé as it did before.

                    Played a couple games with Aston Villa + 1 friend and it was good on default pace. It defo looks like the CPU was fixed after the update.
                    Will try slow tomorrow and I hope it's good because I'd love to stick with it.

                      When you say the CPU is improved, do you mean there are no pressure attacks?

                        Played two games at lunch. Pass speed seems ideal. Game feels pretty well balanced. What would you suggest for shorter halfs? Shot error on 60 and RF on 15?

                          Yeah. CPU seems to play normally now. They don't just run like Mbappé (only some players do and that's fine), the pressure seems to be fixed too, etc. Game's more playable now. Tried some slow pace matches with a friend and you can feel the difficulty. I'd say it was more playable but I still believe the CPU reacts a bit faster than the players. Although I was playing on remote play and had a lot of latency cuz I live in the other side of the globe.
                          Will try it on my end today and see how it goes. Might also try using the same sprint and accel too.

                            I've had a shot to play a few games now (WC, default, fuma, EFL league 2 team, balanced tactics or get in behind).

                            Overall the game feels good. The only things I've noticed are some strange "feelings" with ball physics sometimes. I can best describe it as it feeling like the ball is beach ball that's half filled with water, so it sort of lurches and bounces a little oddly. This seems to happen when the ai is down and pressing. The first touches when starting to sprint can bounce up to handball pretty regularly, players overrun tbe ball more often than id expect while dribbling, and 2 or 3 touches might be needed to control a pass.

                            I think part of this is using a league 2 team so composure and dribbling stats are much lower, so higher quality teams may not see this as an issue. The second is EAs silly implementation of pressure that reduces your teams stats (and killing your stamina) which may be causing player stats to degeade and get this level of sloppiness - particulatly for low starting values.

                            I just thought I'd put this out there in case anyone else sees it with lower rated teams. It's not necessarily something that needs a fix, but it's possible a tweak to first touch error or something similar may be useful on lower rated teams, with that error increasing as you move up leagues and player stats take off.

                              Anybody on PS5 still having the bug where it feels like the sliders and game speed doesn’t change? If so what process are you going through each time you update sliders, deleted setting restart etc?

                              Tried both slow and default on new sliders and gameplay looks nothing like some of the videos posted here.

                                I definitely don’t find the gameplay as enjoyable when using weaker teams. I do a lot of my testing for new sets/values with Premier League teams and the game plays brilliantly. However now I’m looking to start a CM, I’m playing around with a few teams in lower divisions (EFL League One, Bundesliga 2, LaLiga 2) and something does feel a bit off, mainly with the ball physics - as you said it’s hard to explain. But I do see a noticeable difference; I think it is primarily down to the lower player stats, but I’m not sure it was as noticeable in previous games as last year I did multiple lower league CMs that were extremely enjoyable. Perhaps there is an argument for reducing pass, shot and first touch error in lower divisions. I think the connection with the ball on passes/shots/dribbling probably has a lot to do with it.
