Re: MLS OF for PES 2011 (PS3)
That being said, you know I'm interested in the edit data for MLS. Bring it on!Comment

Anyway, I'll probably have the 'edit data' file done and ready sometime later on today. I'll post the d/l link here.Comment

Re: MLS OF for PES 2011 (PS3)
Yes, precisely. Partly because of the way the prequel went and partly because of the way we constructed our file for 2011, a fair amount of info that comes through would need to be adjusted, like eliminating duplicate players, re-arranging transfers and NT rosters, defaulting the vast majority of players so they have their 2012 attributes, etc. That's the sort of work that, ideally, would need to be done to the file to make it presentable for 2012...and which I'm not gonna do right now. Just gonna focus on MLS.

Re: MLS OF for PES 2011 (PS3)
So how does one go about downloading your file without messing up the current file that is on it (with all club teams up to date and stuff via MrGameTight's OF)? Like can I install it under a different username when I log into my Playstation so that I have one with MrGameTight's OF and one with yours? Or no?Comment

Re: MLS OF for PES 2011 (PS3)
Ok, as mentioned above, here's the download for the cleaned-up prequel import of my MLS & NASL OF -- for PES 2012. Again, 'edit data' only:
>>> http://www.4shared.com/file/EO82iz7f...Prequel_B.html
I wound up fixing both MLS & NASL. I spent more time on MLS; NASL needed only marginal tweaks.
What I did for both leagues -- and, again, both leagues only:
- Added missing players that didn't come through the prequel, so rosters are 100% to today
- Fixed players and any distortions that came about with the prequel import -- hairstyles, commentary names, etc.
- Rough adjustment of boots & accessories.
- Rough adjustment of formations, lineups, kick takers, & tactics.
- Rough adjustment of kit colors to better match existing PNGs. Rough adjustment of kit template designs, too, where needed.
The file outside of MLS & NASL is a mess, still.
If someone wants to play with this further, tie it to PNGs that came through with their own prequel import, and post a file for others, be my guest. Similarly, if someone wants to take the file and try to properly orientate the rest of the teams/leagues/players, go ahead. Generally speaking, feel free to improve on the file if you'd like and share it with others. No need for permission from me.
If someone wants to use the file to export teams for others, again, go ahead.
To reiterate, I'm still not planning on doing a file for the 2012 MLS season. I am available for consultation or help if someone else decides to push forward with that project, but that's about it at this point. I will re-evaluate things, perhaps, around January, but nonetheless think it's unlikely that I'll change my mind.
So: enjoy. And if anyone picks up the mantle, good luck!
ps - if you did a prequel with fcpappin's stadium pack loaded from PES 2011, you'll noticed that it, too, imported nicely to 2012. In that case, you'll have to re-link the appropriate stadiums in 'Edit' mode --> 'Home Grounds' after you've loaded the file.Comment

Re: MLS OF for PES 2011 (PS3)
Connoll, can you explain the process of just loading the edit data only? Do I delete the current data file and put the new one on the drive then load it in the prequel load screen or? Is there a way to only load the edit data only without having to reload all the stadiums and kits from the 11 file? Thanks for your work on this.Comment

- Unzip the d/l pack
- put the 'PS3' folder on a usb stick
- turn your PS3 on & put the usb stick in the machine
- on the PS3 menu under 'Game' copy the 'edit data' from the usb stick to your harddrive (you can either delete the old 'edit data' ahead of time or you'll be prompted to overwrite the old one when you go to copy)
- Load the game and you should be good to go
There's only one file in this d/l pack (the edit data); you don't need to do anything with any other files from the prequel. Also: this is just a plain, old modified edit data file, not a prequel file, so don't bother playing with the prequel feature with the file I've posted above.
Hope that helps. Lemme know if it doesn't...Comment

Load it like you would a regular option file:

EDIT - Nevermind. Got it to work. Awesome man. Thanks!Last edited by PeruvianPlaya954; 10-04-2011, 11:28 PM.Comment

Re: MLS OF for PES 2011 (PS3)
Thanks for the updated data connoll. I'm actually thinking about updating all the leagues with updated transfers and kits. Not gonna worry about national teams except for Mexico and USA. Also, since I don't follow all the Euro leagues as closely as I follow MLS, I will leave their tactics to whatever they are at now. I'll just try to use their latest formation though.Comment

Re: MLS OF for PES 2011 (PS3)
Ok, cool. I wouldn't spend time doing transfers, as the DLC is supposed to come out next week. Be forewarned, though, that the DLC will likely scramble the MLS & NASL sides.

Ok. Another newb question. Could you explain what we need to do to keep this from causing an issue with the MLS file? Do I not DL the new update or? Thanks.Comment

Re: MLS OF for PES 2011 (PS3)
- the players who were created by overwriting the blank/fake players will default to their original roster positions on the blank/fake teams
- Some of the details on the blank/fake players who were edited will also default, like attack/defense settings and perhaps nationalities, but the vast majority of edited detail will remain (appearances, stats, accessories, etc.)
- tactics/settings for any teams overwritten will default, too, and need to be reset
When constructing the file originally for PES 2011, we tried to do so in a way that would be easiest to unravel when the DLC dropped, mostly by grouping the created players on the same squads. As time went by, we got away from doing this a little bit, because we wound up having to scrounge around a bit for players/player slots that could be overwritten.
So after the DLC someone would have to put the effort in to reconstruct the rosters of the created teams (MLS, etc.) via the transfer mode and do the other work necessary.
Also, I think that if someone is interested in orientating the rest of the file, doing the adjustments after the DLC makes the most sense, as the DLC will in some respects make it clearer what needs to be reset/edited on the rest of the file, especially when it comes to players.
Hope that helps clarify things a lil bit...Comment
