I'm keeping FIFA and I'll be getting PES. Sucks spending money on 2 football games..that's $120 for me smh. I'm mainly keeping FIFA t play with friends and to play online but other than that I'll be on PES. Hopefully next year I'll just choose one but it's hard because they both offer something I really like.

I disagree with the OP. FIFA plays looks and sound way better.

To me its just a matter of opinions. The two games are completely diferent and offer diferent experiences.

I would say that, Fifa looks better and sounds better. Both games have good gameplay, but diferent approaches. its up to each one to choose what type of goal you want to achieve with a soccer game. Both are good, and both have their flaws.

This game to me completely dominates fifa.. And that's coming from someone who has owned almost every fifa title from back in the sega genisis days.. I sold fifa quite quickly this year.. At first I really was digging fifa.. But the game play became very repetitive and there were only a handful of ways to score. Pes has completely opened my eyes to a new soccer gaming world and I'm ecstatic that I made the switch.. What makes me a bit sad is that at the local game stop the kid wasn't em sure if they carried pes.. Infact I bought the only copy they had.. He said they only ordered 1. To bad more people dont know about this gem and continue to play fifa.. Personally I'm just about done with EA games.. And ubisoft isn't to far behind with the let down I received after purchasing assassins creed just to trade it in 3 day's later

It's been about 10 days now since release of PES, and I'm pretty settled on it. I'm getting better at the game, and really starting to gel with the controls. On the other hand, I'm starting to notice the flaws. One example, as I have played enough games to score/concede a good number of goals, is goalkeeping really does not seem up to par. Keepers seem to be in slow motion and getting beat far too easily... However I'm optimistic things will be tweaked in the soon to arrive December update... But even if things aren't tweaked, I will probably still rate it much higher than fifa.

I can't see returning to Fifa 15 and, like jdubbs, I'm trying to move away from publishers like EA and their future games. It would take some amazing reviews to get me to consider fifa 16 after feeling ripped off from 14 to 15. For those that were feeling the same as me after years of Fifa, and EA's constant over hyping/under delivering, it would probably be an easy choice to switch over to PES.

i thought i was the only one ive been playing the demo nonstop. i went to play pro clubs with my boys and could barley get past 1 game. PES makes me work for everything. im converting over.
              Yes pes has flaws:
              everybody same height
              licensing
              ect
but for a true fan of football the gameplay is worth looking past that stuff for this year. i expect great things from 2016

In fact I was playing the damn demo for too long, wich only means something: I had to buy the full version. Fifa enjoyed me a lot, but this PES has something that keeps me going to one more match. trying to get the hang of it with less assists. Assisted the game is just too easy.

And yeah, I miss FIfa GK´s, they had some great reactions and unexpected saves without looking unrealistic. PES needs some variation in that department. I think its the main thing, GK´s are a bit dull and predictable. Everything else is feeling good.

I wouldn't say fifa's keepers are any better. They are terribly inconsistent. At least with PES I know they are bad... In Fifa they are superhuman one moment, then absolute trash the next.

I'll agree though that they need some more variation. I've seen some Keepers make some nice moves, whereas others are very conservative throughout. I think it comes down to their play style. Maybe the differences could be toned down a bit.

Gk´s in fifa are good once you know what to expect from them. Sometimes they surrprised me for good reasons, more then bad reasons.

PES, I think almost there. I´ve been calling out my GK most of the time and had great results. doesn't always work, but reduced a bit of those cheap CPU goals I was giving away.

You're being far to kind there. If you've played football before then you know how bad it is to have an inconsistent keeper... Fifa has that in spades. Nothing like seeing the keeper stop a top corner shot struck by the laces, only to then let a weak finesse shot in right past them on near post.

Both games could use a big upgrade in the keeping department. PES however, is somewhat saved by the fact that good goal scoring opportunities are harder to create than in Fifa. If the Fifa keepers played like the PES keepers, every game would have double digit goals scored.

I haven't tried that very much yet. I will have to give it a go. Anything to try to stop me banging my head against the wall after the cpu does a one timer tap in.

Yeah try it. I´m slowly finding the PES keepers more consisten then Fifa ones. One on ones they are somewhat irresponsive sometimes, and seem to give away some goals but in real life one on ones are almost always garanteed goal too.

Fifa is indeed a chances fest. Its all about shooting and defending in the box. PES makes the game less emotional but in a good way. A created chance might be that golden oportunity to win a match.

Well. Then you should probably trade in fifa...like I did. Because if you play PES for a day or so, you'll be surprised how much you didn't notice that FiFA was lacking

I am currently deeply in love with PES2015.

The moment these things happened it was like, well hello, brilliant...

                              1. CPU plays through balls anywhere. A CB will lead the LB with a little 10 yard pass, a midfielder will play it back into space for a DMF to run onto

                              2. Your CPU team mates challenge 50/50 balls

                              3. The CPU isn't afraid to play aerial balls, not just crosses but aerial balls all over the pitch if they deem it appropriate.

                              4. With user pass assist at least on one if not zero, both teams passing accuracy falls into a very realistic range

                              5. The CPU can attack you and miss when shooting. This is huge for me because it takes away the desperate defending in FIFA where if the CPU is allowed to shoot they will score, so you get those terrible stat lines like USER 14 shots 8 on goal, 1 goal, CPU 1 shot, 1 on goal, 1 goal

                              6. GK's can kick the ball past midfield! and they also don't hoof it up the middle every time.

                              7. The stoppage time is random

                              8. The form system is an incredible tool to use alongside difficulty to create a custom difficulty

                              9. If you make a mistake, it's ok, the CPU might make one soon as well. Feels organic like the real sport.

                              10. I actually dig the fatigue system a lot. The first few games (I have played just about all PES and FIFA games leading up to this one) I was playing a bit of the frantic FIFA pace style of gameplay and my players were fatigued at about the 60' mark. Once I realized this and throttled back on getting stuck in everywhere I was able to balance my fatigue rate and I can almost get to 90' without a sub but it's ridiculous to do that. This is one of the first soccer games I have played where subbing is critical/crucial to how the game plays out.

                              11. Players really feel different, I was using sampdoria last night v genoa and Obiang CMF got exhausted from chasing back to help in numbers against the genoa attack. He was doing great work on the pitch but did tire. I brought in Marchionni and while he was ok, I immediately felt his passing not up to par with Obiang. Some of the same connecting passes Obiang was orchestrating were going astray at the feet of Marchionni.

                              12. There is a proper training mode. This means a lot.

                              13. Having the with and without the ball structures is so cool. And I like how you can assign player roles at any point.

                              14. There is some sort of emotion system in place that is not just cosmetic. I was playing Emelec vs Garcilaso and I scored. They have a guy that looks a little like Hulk on the left side, he provided the assist. It was a quality assist I will not deny him that, but for the next 3 or 4 minutes he was really psyched up on the pitch and chasing down every loose ball. He got energized by his great assist. That was badass. I haven't seen that every match which is even more of a PES-y kind of thing where you might go 40 matches and see something you have never seen before.

                              15. The ball goes out of bounds very realistically.

                              16. Its evident that you, your players and the cpu are chasing the ball about the pitch rather than the ball following you. It can be passed short, long, over the head, errantly, all the ways you really see.

                              17. When you are in the CPU's defensive 1/4 of the field and the ball goes 50/50 or even in their favor it doesn't just come right back out and on the counter like the other game. I have scored 2 goals just by taking over control of an attacker who was forward pressing the defender (on his own) who had either just gained possession or was in the process of gaining possession, harassed them, won the ball back and turned it into scores, catching the CPU pulling out too quickly or just in the forward flow of a possession change.

On the downside, refs are like the other game where they call more fouls on you than on the cpu. Both games suffer from (for the most part) only being able to draw fouls when using close control.

                              And no emblem creation sucks.
