I finally figured out "how" to import an option file onto the PS4. Was doing very well in the process until the game informed me that apparently there was no more space for the images and thus "import would be cancelled", which obviously means I still have fake names on my game copy.

I got this OP from PESUniverse and am not trying to disparage them in any way. I am just looking to find a solution. Does my USB stick not hold enough space? What did I do wrong? How do I fix this?

Furthermore, I did some research on various patches out there and it seems like those most "popular" are found on the welovepes website. I tried DLing them but no luck: I would be directed to links that seem to want to install other types of files in my computer (movies, PDF readers, etc.). Can someone clarify this for me?

Thanks so much for any and all of your help.

    Regards.
    Hi! And welcome!

You got that message because you reached the limit of data you can import within the game. It has nothing to do with your USB, it is just a hard limit on the game. There is several possible scenario that made you reach that limit:

    1) You already tried to upload another OF and you didn't delate all the picture from that OF before uploading your new one (pesuniverse) so that you already have an even more limited space before uploading your new OF
--> Solution: Before uploading your new OF make sure you have deleted every single picture (If you tried several time to import the same OF it doesn't matter as the picture will have the same name and will not take extra space).

    2) The kits from the OF you are using are in high resolution (2048). If it is the case, you will very likely not be able to load the kits for all the teams. I recommend you to use only low resolution kits (1024), they look fine in the game and you will be able to have kits for every single team in the game.

    3) You have only low resolution kits (1024) but you still get that no space available message. That's normal, the space available on PS4 do not allow us to have everything, you just reached the point where you have to make a decision between keeping kits for every teams or keeping stadium picture or coach pictures. Personally I decided to delate all stadium pictures and some coach picture.
Here is how you should proceed: Try to load all the bin files, once you get the message read the name of the team where the import process stopped let's say it was Real Madrid. Go to the picture and delete every stadium picture (or coaches or some kits). Return to the import process and start by selecting from Real Madrid until the end of the list (no need to do the teams above they were loaded correctly). If you get the message again, repeat the same procedure until you manage to load the last team of the list without getting the space issue message.

As for where you can find good OF I would suggest you to have a look at the "Chris Best Of Everything" or the DFL on the forum of pesgaming (type DFL pesgaming on google and you will find it). Or you can check that the kits you import with your pesuniverse OF are low resolutions kits

      Thanks for the tip!

How do I "go about" lowering the res on the kits? Where exactly would I go to do so?

Also, if I end up uploading and installing one of these OFs, can I still do "live update" in order to also have the most updated squads?

Most OF use low res kits, probably the Of from pesuniverse you downloaded have low res too. It is easy to check: 1) Go to import/export in data Management (Edit Menu). 2) Go to Delete images, if Strip (L) is empty, then all your kits are low res. If you have deleted everything, you can try to upload only the first team of the list in your OF then check in delete images if the kit you loaded is a low (Strip (L) empty) or a high res (Strip (s) empty).

Applying the Live update will affect every team for which you had to tick the second box during the uploading process (ie: Bundesliga, Liga MX, national teams with fake players.). Once you applied the Live update you need to upload again all those bin files, the ones you needed to tick the second box only. The others teams are not messed up by the Live update so that the imputing process is much faster.

It doesn't look like it does. My question is, can we download the ATL/MIN kits and emblems and add these two teams to MLS manually? For instance, can we re-skin two teams from a league we don't use often and expand MLS that way?

EDIT: I see that after importing all of the MLS teams from the OF, there are still two unnamed teams. I'm assuming those are the expansion slots?

Yes you can import them but be mindful that import those extra two them will leave them in another league. I don't think you can expand a league to have 22 teams in this game.

Cool, thanks Royce. I kinda figured it all out last night while importing the OF, and yes, it seems as though I'll have to leave them in a different league as the custom league slots max out at 20. Too bad, it would have been be nice to at least have the option in League-only mode add/remove an many teams as you want.

Another question: I'm assuming there are no NASL OFs out there? I've done quite a bit of research, seen several requests but nothing concrete.

              Thanks!

Re: PS4 Option File Thread for PES 2017

I recently ran into the same problem (running out of room). I downloaded PES 2017 directly on my PS4 and had to start all my option files over. I re-added Premier, Bundesliga, MLS, J League, England's Football Championship, and other European teams. I took it further and added other Latin American teams (mostly Liga MX), European national teams and African national teams. What I did to complete all the teams was to eliminate pictures of managers and stadiums. Also, I eliminated third jerseys that I didn't particularly care for. Worked out well as I was able to complete the option files that way.

Maybe we can open a new thread for PES 2018 as I plan on doing another Serie A TIM Player Skills & Stats Edits file for all. Would be awesome to see what others are planning. Getting excited again

Here's a dumb question: has anyone created an option file for 2017 with updated rosters for this current season? There's not enough pulling me to 2018, and I enjoyed 2017 a lot. All I'd be looking for is the latest transfer moves!
