I don't think that's it. I started a league mode just to see what competitions each league participates in and those 3 shield competitions were not listed for any league. So who knows....

I am guessing they are the pre-season tournaments in Master League but I could be wrong.

started up a ML in the Brazilian league and the Champions Shield South America did not come up in preseason. My guess is that they are a one off knockout match that come up in ML somewhere, somehow. Interesting that they have North American Champions Shield though, since there are no NA leagues in the game.

I did not play the beta and literally only played like 2 games on the demo, although I do remember not being thrilled with the demo. I haven't been much of a hardcore gamer over the last few years or so due to my busy work schedule, life, etc... so I can't fairly compare it to the last couple PES games as I didn't log much game time at all. I played pes 17 for about a week only. This one does feel similar to 17 and haven't noticed any obvious gameplay issues, at least for my liking. Only real negative for me is the lack of fouls and the passing % discrepancy between 1 bar assistance and 0.

Haven't played a ML game yet. Just playing an ACL on top player for now. Gameplay overall has been good enough for me. I have noticed that teams do play differently. I've had teams mark and pressure me aggressively from the start and others that give me space and time on the ball, so that's good to see.

I do and I still play 16 (pc) as my main soccer game to this day thanks to the modding capabilities. However, I've always felt pes has a more realistic and varied gameplay and seems no different this year but we'll see in a few weeks when the other game comes out.

Started a ML with arsenal and yes, you can change between night or day in the stadium options

Wow! Finally!!!!! That's great! Play a full ML with only day games make the game much better, night games graphics are always much worse.

I checked the first 2 games I played, the community shield and then match 1 of the league and both gave the option to select night or day. So safe to assume it should be like that for all ML games
