I know how you feel. I don't think SI really tries to screw us over, you just had incredibly bad luck.

I'll admit, sometimes I do like to accuse SI of conspiring against me to lose away matches. No matter what tactics I try. I'll be peppering them with shots, blasting the woodwork, their keeper turns robo, and then they squeak in a garbage goal to steal 3 points. Or I'll go conservative when I'm outclassed, play perfect D all match, and then one of my defenders will inexplicably turn the ball over for an easy goal or an own goal bounces in somehow.

This game is frustrating as hell sometimes, but I don't think there's fishy stuff going on in the background. Been playing since '08 and it just keeps getting better.

Yeah, there's nothing fishy. I'm on the verge of an unbeaten season with Die Bayern, and that wouldn't be possible if the game ever conspired against you.

Of course SI isn't doing anything to **** us over. It was just a string of bad luck, but I'd like to be able to blame it on something, as that's just simply human nature .

Well, season three started as an unmitigated disaster at Ipswich and I've decided to resign after getting only 8 points out of the first 11 games. Several key injuries and losses to two of the three teams up from League 1 didn't sit too well with me. I lost the team real fast.

I had several offers to join larger clubs before the season, so hopefully that happens again.

            Jubilance in Newport!

After coming in and making some signings and changing some tactics, newly promoted Caerleon are in 7th place in the league, out of 18 after 10 games. Not only that, but we've made it out of the group stage of the Loosmores cup as one of two best second place teams. We lost our first place spot on the last day to defending league champions Neath.

In the quarter final, we drew current league leaders Llanelli AFC, a very harsh draw. The headline "Cearleon face the impossible" didn't make me feel any better.

I decided to come out with a strict counter tactic, and hope to catch one on the break. As we approached the end of the end of the first half, Llanelli hit the woodwork twice in quick succession.

Second half was relatively action free. The first 90 end in a 0-0 draw.

The interesting thing about the Loosmores cup is that you can only have 3 players dressed on the bench. So as we approach extra time, my players are absolutely gassed, especiallly since this is the third game in 9 days. One player was even down to 37%. In the 115th minute, we strike lucky, and score. I was amazed. The counter tactic pays off as they are trying to avoid the lottery of a penalty shootout. The game ends and our players now enjoy a 9 day break. The game finished without injuries for us as well.

              Semi-Final vs. Airbus.

Favorable draw, considering the other options were defending league champs Neath and current second place team TNS.

First leg at home: we go ahead 1-0 in the 54th, and that's how it ended. We go into the Airfield with a 1-0 lead. Will it be enough?

Second leg at Airbus: 10th minute, absolute wonderstrike for Airbus. Must have been from 35 yards out. 1-0. Plenty of chances from there on out, no one scores. Off to Extra Time...again.

This time, extra time provids nothing. No chances, no goals. Penalties come, and we lose 4-3.

I'm gutted. Oh well, the board is delighted with our performance, and we still have a top half finish to contend for. Now I get to deal with all of the match congestion that comes from making a deep cup run. And the subsequent injuries. Yay!

The season has ended. We've finished 11th, not quite the top half finish we seemed to be destined for, but still enough to delight the board, and far better than the relegation we were supposed to suffer.

Time to wheel and deal in the off season and try to make this team stronger. We have some work to do if we want to catch TNS.

Am I supposed to? I haven't been notified of a change in my transfer funds, they're still at $0.

I'm just gonna sign frees, and I have a good amount of cash to do so at $3.3K for payroll.

Also of note: The board has decided to expand the stadium. No clue as to why, considering our average attendance of 72 wasn't really close to packing the place.

When I started out in the lower leagues at Paris FC, I also could only bring in frees. But 12 seasons later at Die Bayern having won back to back Bundesliga and Championsleague titles, my transfer budget is 62 million and my payroll is 2.3 million. Unreal how things have changed.

You should find out your transfer budget when the board asks for your start of season expectations.

At Bayern now, the board doesn't ask for the expectations but instead tells you what they expect, which for me this coming season is to win the league, domestic cup, Club World Cup, Super Cup, and reach the Semis of the Champions League. No pressure there.

Yeah, I found it a few minutes after reading your post. My budget is still at 0, and they decreased my payroll around 3K. And raised my expectations.

Well it took about 6 months to finish, but I won my 12 straight Premier League title.

Though was disappointed when I was knocked out of the Champions leage in the QF.

I think I might be done with this game, well at least until I get a new computer.

Would you say you got more value than what you payed for?

Season for us started off a little disappointing, going 0-1-2, and few shots on goal. I've decided to allow the squad some fluidity, hoping that it will help bridge the gap between my striker and 5 midfielders. (We play a 4-5-1)
