I got Michael Owen to come to Chicago. Joined in Jan. 11 after I had won the MLS Title with the Fire and I needed a replacement for McBride. Then I picked up Taylor Twellman in the Waiver Draft so I have a pretty stacked attacking force. I need to work on my Midfield and Defense next as I have a lot of aging players there. Plus I hate having the 24 man limit in the MLS because I like a lot of cover.

Nice! And yeah, the roster rules are tough. Now I know how real life MLS owners and GM's feel like. Makes you think twice about each move you make.

I signed a couple of deals with smaller teams and loan out a bunch of players to those squads. I think I've got about 40 players on my team. Figure I'll run a bit of a farm system every year. Try them out during preseason friendlies and then send them down even if they play well. However, had one guy who played really well during preseason, called him up when I got an injury in the back. Started him and he got lit up. He got released just a little later.

It's really come in handy with injuries. Call up one of the younger kids and then send them back when the regular is healthy again. You have to time it right so that you don't end up losing anybody. Make sure that you send them down a couple 2/3 days before the regular gets healthy. Most of the younger guys you only need to sign to 600/700 per week wages so it works out and keeps me way under the salary cap.

            Wouldn't you?

All of this MLS talk inspired me to start one too. Went with the Fire. Lost in the finals of the Walt Disney cup, and won the Carolina Cup. Currently in the lead after about 7 league games.

So I've had a game going for a couple of weeks now, haven't posted anything about it in here yet. I started unemployed with a lot of leagues loaded, to make a career-type game. Here's my career history so far:

Well since I came in half way through the year I decided on keeping him. Then during the pre season transfer window I brought in a 25 year old Russian Sergey Chepchugov. He was outta favor at CSKA and I brought him in for cheap. He is starting in anything other then the MLS that I am in and the occasional spot start. He is either gonna be my long term backup or first choice next year. Both of those scenarios involve getting rid of Busch.

Looks like you're doing pretty well for yourself. What experience did you start with? Also, do you remember who knocked you out in the quarters of the CONCACAF Champions League?

I started with International Player. I had tried from the bottom up but wasn't getting any offers from "decent" (mid-to-lower level European teams) at all. I wasn't in the mood to start from the bottom of the bottom.

As for who knocked me out, it was Monarcas Morelia. First match was at home which we drew 2-2, and for the away leg it was 0-0. An extra goal for us in either leg would have sent us through.

Ah. I tried starting from the very bottom, b\ut rotting in Wales wasn't the most fun I've had.

As for the Champion's League, my only experience in the tournament was a Quarter Final drubbing. I want to say it was Nexaca that beat us 6-1 aggregate, but not totally sure.

I guess Christian Stuani was a good callup to the national squad. 5 caps with a goal in each game. Cavani and Suarez are gonna struggle to find a spot on the team, with how well Stuani, Abel Hernandez, and the aging Forlan are doing. Just beat Argentina for the second time in WC qualifying, this time 2-1 with goals from Stuani and Hernandez for me and Tevez for them.

I also was offered the Lazio job, so, I left Internacional.

Still couldn't sign a DP in the off season after Freddie left. I know it's user error, but has anybody actually signed a DP that can help me out?

I've agreed with another club for the transfer, went to the offer contract screen and the most I can offer the player is $7k p/w. I went to all of the pull downs and didn't see anything that mentions DP spot.

I'm more than likely going to start over with the USA leagues download. Looks like that is a lot of fun with a lot more clubs. But I would really like to be able to learn how to sign a DP.

After a horrendous start to the season where I was expected to win the league, I have just been sacked by Koln after a 4-0 drubbing by Man United in the Champions League group stage.

                            Time to hit the pavement.

Decided to take on a rebuilding job. Watford, who are in League 1. 20 matches in, we are in 11th, and 1st-14th are separated by 4 points. What a crazy table. This is still winable, we just beat 2nd place Norwich in the first match.

Decided to go for a career game, started at Necaxa. Supposedly I needed to "heavily" strengthen the squad to achieve promotion. We reach the semis of the Apatura playoffs and we lose. I get sacked. Dazed and confused I head to Italy, and third tier side Foggia. I'll just leave this pic as an example of how big of a mess this appears to be.
