Where do I buy the game from?
I recommend Steam for buying the game.

As for leagues, we've tried (unsuccessfully) to get one going in the past. I would again be open for running the league through hamachi if anyone is interested.

In the OOTP league I'm in we normally have 24 teams. In the FOF league, I believe we have/had 30.

What would be looking for here for level of participants? And is there a good forum out there to get hooked up to an existing league?

I went over to the actual FM forum and then some other one I stumbled upon...and they play "Challenges?" Are those like leagues?

I want something where people stick with it and I have the same team year after year. Learn the players. Etc.

A league based here would just be based on anyone we could get to play. No knowledge of any existing leagues, sorry. I play offline and enjoy the game tons

I'd be in for an online league, but I do enjoy the single player experience a ton. By the way, I have my Dortmund save running now. Will post a proper update when I get home from work

Our WC league was pretty successful, IMO. We just need to play the actual the WC.

I'm slightly over midway through my first season at Palmero. After getting off to a terrible start, I managed to turn things around. At one point I was 10 points behind the leader, but now if I beat Milan, I'll be just three points back.

I'm playing Milan in the semi-finals of the TIM Cup and Liverpool in the knockout stages of the CL, so I'm still alive in every competition. Here are the standings:

And I tied Milan. Was up 1-0 but gave up a goal in the 93rd minute in +3 stoppage time. #$%@!!!!!!!! That tie keeps me in 4th. #$%@!!!!!!! I hate this game some times (in a good way).

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

My first official post as Manager of Borussia Dortmund. My goal this season was to not spend more than 3 million on one player. Because Dortmund start with a low transfer budget, I made the decision to sell off some players to buy youngsters who I could develop:

                Ins:
                Paval Niakhaichyk - 1.3 million
                Danny da Costa - compensation
                Nika Kvekveskiri - 1.5 million
                Mehdi Abeid - compensation

                Outs:
Markus Feulner - 3 million to Sunderland
Toni da Silva - 7 million to Aston Villa

Playing an attacking 4-2-3-1. After winning 6-0 in the DFB-Pokal first round, my season began in the Europa League at Sibir.

Then it was off to Stuttgart to open the 2010-11 season in style:

Then back home in the return leg to face Sibir and win in convincing fashion:

My goal is to take this team and slowly build Dortmund into a European Powerhouse. With a core of great young players, I'm planning on signing more u-18 players to develop and play alongside Sahin, Gotze, Kagawa, and Bender....

After a rough start to my tenure with Gimnastic, things turned around, and we achieved midtable finish. I was worried originally that leaving Portland may have been the wrong move, but things are looking up now. I'm shooting for promotion in the 2014/2015 season- if I don't get picked up by a top flight club first. I was the media favorite for a Russian Premier club a few months ago, but it didn't happen unfortunately.

Thanks bud. I intend to continue with the save. I am having a lot of fun managing Dortmund though. It's tough when you're restricted by a small transfer budget, lower rep, and have a personal restriction of not spending money on established players

Just a brief update on my Dortmund save. Just played FC Bayern and completely ripped them apart:

Barrios is beastly in this game too. What a player!!

^ That was some of the most shockingly bad defending I've ever seen for a top side. Might want to try and cut out one of those through balls or mark the guy, lol.
