A quick google search confirmed what I said a minute ago. Here's the link to update the latest version of DirectX9. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en You should be in business now.

Try downloading it and see if that works. Wasn't there an option when installing the game to install that too? It also could be that your computer doesn't have a DirectX9 compatible graphics card. Go to www.systemrequirementslab.com to see if you can run the game.
Awesome. I thought that I had DX 9 already...guess not. The demo tried to install it, but it failed, so I figured I already have it. Thanks again! Also, your systemrequirementslab link isn't working, but I have used it many times before.

EDIT: Can anyone connect to microsoft's servers? I get page load error every time. Sorry about this, this laptop is just a bundle of problems I guess this is why it couldn't get DX9.

Still have to play Milan away, but we're through! To be honest, I didn't think I would get past this round.

The link to SRT is fixed. I can get on the Microsoft servers fine. Is it your internet connection, maybe?

Nice! I finally got it running!

I have to say, this game is amazing! I am absolutely loving it so far, even though I haven't figured everything out yet. That is all part of the fun for me. I started coaching the US National team in spirt if the Confed cup...it is a lot of fun.

Just one question. Is there anyway I can make the days go by quicker? I still haven't even made it to my first match.

Just played our first game, a 3-1 victory over Guatemala. Altidore, who won Man of the Match honors, strained his neck in the victory, he will be out for 2 weeks.

Heart break at Wembley in the FA Cup Final. My wonderkid LB was injured two weeks before in my 2nd to last game in the Prem (my title clincher), so I was forced to play right-footed only Frederik Stoor at LB in the FA final. Of course, he was skinned for 2 of the 3 goals. Hey, what are you gonna do?

Starting Group stage against Grenada, the new look USA squad won 4-0, with Bradley, Altidore, and Twellman 2. Donovan got injured in training and is out for two weeks. Once I get a more definitel lineup will post it up for you guys, right now running a 4-4-2 agreesive formation. Heading to the pitch now for next match....update soon.

Whitesox, would good to compare notes and lineups and see what success each has in WQC, maybe help each other, I also say again this game is awesome!!

Sure! Keep in mind that this is my first football/soccer manager game, I am (for now) only runnning the strawberry demo, and that I am still learning how to do things. Almost done with phase 2, 3-0-1 so far. That one draw came to Surinam believe it or not. I somehow wound up with Tim Howard playing midfield and Demspy in goal

My scouts have been high on him for awhile, but I have a logjam at striker. Btw, for anyone looking for a good young defender, Vermaelen is great in this game.

Vermaelen is beast. I had a transfer deal set for him last summer, but he accepted a contract from Spurs over lowly Fulham (too bad The Cottagers won the Prem without you!). So, I used my scouts in Brazil (get scouts in Brazil if you don't have any, as they produce far and away the best players) to find a CB to fill in for Hangeland and Leandro Gioda (Argentinian CB who is quite good) and found this guy. Please check him out if you haven't done so. He's well worth the $15m I spent for him. His pace/acceleration for someone who can hold his own in the air is unheard of for such a reasonable price. I cannot preach young, cheap, Brazilian talent enough, especially for GKs and CBs where the prices for European players is absurd if you don't catch them early in their careers. Work Permits and Home Grown status (which I just realized will screw over my team now that I'm finally in the UCL) are a different story however.

The injury bug has hit me hard, just barely beat Saint kitts, 1-0, but 3 points is 3 points i guess. Up next is Costa Rica though, we shall see if I can keep it together why some players are out? Running more of a Bradley lineup now, not by choice, are have like 6 players injured, sucks.
