Chelsea save starting up: Keeping the same team although I signed Owen Hargreaves on a free to act as a tutor and cover for Mikel when he goes to the AFC. Going to be frugal and focus on developing the next great Belgian side for WC 2014. I know I'll need a striker so my season will be spent figuring out who I should sign between Falcao, Jovetic, or Lewandowski....I might just sign neither and keep Lukaku in the mix.

Nothing more annoying than struggling in League play but dominating in the Champions League. In one of my Milan Derby games AC Milan went down to 8 men, talk about a rivalry game.Mets/Giants/Knicks/Rangers/Manchester United/Notre Dame Football

So in my "sim to 2019, then find q job" career, I of course end up at Viborg, its hard to turn down your hometown club. Viborg had been bought, and gutted, and had just suffered relegation to 2 Division Vest. Everyone I'd normally play/sign is long gone. I re-acquired CB Jonas Thorsen, who will also serve as my U19's coach when I reactivate that team next year. I picked up Daniel Agger as a coach as well. I started with an embarrassing loss to Otterup, but then went on a tear through the league and won 15 straight league games. Also got massive luck in the Danish Cup, as I drew lower/same/same/same in the first four rounds, then faced my parent club and Superligaen outfit Lyngby in the Quarterfinal, which I won 1-0 in added extra time. Went on to face 5 straight Superligaen champion FC København. At home, we got a surprise 2-2 draw, then drew 2-2 at Parked, but København won in added extra time, ending a nice Danish Cup run. I'm currently 15 points clear of second place in league, and dropped a game as I played my reserves in the game before the second leg vs København.
Free Agent pickups Søren Anderson, Björn Lund, Jan Pleidrup, and Mads Falck have played tremendously, and Thorsen is providing good veteran leadership. Overall its been a fun ride so far, game is very different starting in 2019Support Local Sports

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Wow. Just snuck into the knockout round of the 2014 WC with Jamaica. Got 3rd place in the hex and drew a group with Croatia, Spain, and Guinea. First game I drew with Croatia 1-1, should of won but Manduzkic scored a screamer to tie it in the 2nd half. Nice win against Guinea, they parked the bus so I added a second striker in the second half and won 2-0. Croatia got killed by Spain so as long as I didn't lose a 5-6 goal differential I think it was, I was going to get in. Basically parked the bus against Spain and managed to only lose 3-1 while Croatia beat Guinea 3-1. Now I have to face Brazil.Comment

Istg if Viborg don't re-hire me this offseason(signed a 1 year deal to start) I'll be so fuggin mad. I asked for a new deal, and the board rejected it. I won 2 Division Vest and reached the Semi-Final of the Danish cup, so they can suck on deez if they don't think I did good enough.Support Local Sports

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
after winning Serie A in my first year with Juventus I am struggling hard in my second season. Defense has been on point like it was last season but my striking has been poor. We are getting the chances but Vucinic and Matri have been terrible.Comment

WOW WHAT A TURN AROUND!
After posting this, My team is currently on a 29 match unbeaten streak in Serie A to win the league title, and after not winning a match in my first 5 group stage games, we beat Real Madrid to advance to the knockout stage and eventually knocked them out 3-1 on aggergate to reach the CL finals!Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
I decided to set up shop and park the tank for this NordicBet Ligaen season, and golly gee willikers, 18 straight games without conceding. My two goalkeepers have a combined 1600+ minutes without conceding. It's quite ridiculous.Support Local Sports

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Thinking of starting a new FM save and bringing it to the Dynasty area of the forum. I want to control a club in France and make it like a PSG thing but with out the extreme cash flow. I will create a group called the Québéc Sports Group (like MLSE and TNSE) haha. They will consist of the Molson Family of Molson Beer and the Canadiens. The other person is Alouettes owner Robert C. Wetenhall. Reason for the Montreal stuff is because I have family up there and I love visiting every fall haha.
I have no clue who to beLast edited by gomuherdclassof2k10; 04-16-2013, 11:56 AM.Washington Nationals
