    Defeated Porto 3-0 on AGG.

Was drawn into a rather easy group/matches, with Bayern, Villarreal, and Galatasaray.

Beat Villarreal in the first match, lost to Bayern, and then swept Galatasaray to qualify for the Knockout stages.

Not that it makes a lick of difference but I believe I have my most diverse squad to date, thankfully everyone speaks football.

      GK Danish
      WBL Danish
      CD Ghanaian
      CD Jamaican
      CD Swedish
      WBR English
      DM Ghanaian
      AM Danish
      AM Algerian
      AM English
      ST Swedish

      S1 Venezuelan
      S2 Welsh
      S3 Trinidad and Tobago
      S4 Danish
      S5 English
      S6 United States
      S7 French

      R1 English
      R2 Finnish
      R3 Northern Irish
      R4 Ghanaian
      R5 Guadelopian
      R6 Brazilian

And during this transfer window I'm looking to bring in a Uruguayan.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

I'm so proud, yet so ashamed, I've had my first mutiny! most of my attackers are now "Abysmal" and "Want to Leave The Club" due to my "team talks" (Last three games I've called them out for not being able to finish properly), I also released an unhappy player on a free(since it was only 2k to let him go) and that angered some people as well. I'm debating whether I want to recover from this, or just wreak total havoc on the club, and then bolt when the EOTY firings start happening.

After the second month of fixtures I've dropped into 4th place, still happy with my position but we performed poorly these last few matches.
          Signed an AMR/ST as a backup ST...i believe he's 20 yrs old
So far he's played in two matches and had a few chances but no goal yet

So Roman finally gave Mancini the ax. So when the media ask me if I would be interested, I said Chelsea can **** off.

Which apparently were the magic words because Roman is shoving a lot of money in my pocket to take over.

            Also just for fun

              Nice lol.

I'm starting a new Arsenal save to combat Ozil's Chelsea save. I'm also adding the new transfers and it should be fun. My goal is to sign Stevan Jovetic to start, but build a strong English based squad. I already have Wilshere, Walcott, Jenkinson, Gibbs, and the Ox so the base is there

Man you must be killin it at Palace Mo. They never gave me any type of budget lol

So this season was a complete disaster. Got up to 7th in the league and then the wheels fell off. Finally got my best striker back, he played 4 games scored 5 goals and then tore a calf muscle. Gone for another 5 months. Lost 5 straight after that and we never recovered.

It all came down to the last game of the season. We are in 18th place with 37 pts Southampton is 17th with 39 pts. Our last game is against 6th place Sunderland who beat us 4-1 earlier in the season. We somehow eeked out a 1-0 W to leapfrog Southampton and avoid relegation.

I thought for sure that i was gonna get fired anyway for finishing so poorly but the board decided to let me stay. Gonna have to make some moves in the offseason to right the ship. We have a lot of young players with 5 star potential, so im gonna have to sell some of them. As much as i hate to sell, i have to bring in some experience

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

I've gotten Port Vale to the Championship, after the mutiny I delegated my team talks to my Assistant, then took them back a month later, and no one complained(until the last match when I was just like "meh") We ended up going on a tear through the league after a team meeting and took over the top spot in League Two, obtaining entry to the Championship, in which, I will be so severely outmatched, I'm still moderately looking for a way out, and it came, Arsenal's Arsene Wenger is retiring. I'm going to go hard after the job, even though I doubt I'll get it. It's to the point where I'm good enough that decent players want to come play for me, but I'm still low enough that those players don't want to stay when a BPL team comes calling(FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU STOKE)

Here's to hoping Arsenal hire me!

EDIT: Forgot to mention, Bradford also won promotion to the Championship, so here's to hoping I'm not the worst in the Championship if I don't get out of Port Vale.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

I resigned at Port Vale, after continuing to try and grow the club and getting continuously rejected by the board, having frustrated players, my two successful years at Port Vale came to a steamy end as I then applied to West Bromwich Albion to the their Manager position since Steve Clarke left for Southampton. I was immediately handed an ultimatum. To which I resigned immediately, I'm not going to apologize for being interested in other jobs when all I'm trying to do is grow the club. Apparently, I was loved by staff and players, as quite a few (13) players handed formal transfer requests the day after, and 11 staff members left with me as well. Port Vale is going to quickly fall from the Championship, possibly all the way down to Blue Square, I was trying to rebuild the depth at the club, but OH WELL. GOOD LUCK PORT VALE, I WON'T MISS YOU.

So now that I have a new computer, I'm thinking about giving this game another go. I have FM11 and am thinking about taking Nottingham Forrest. Since I still consider myself a novice at football, either I will become a wonder or will be chased out of town on a rail.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

About to start what I hope to be my last FM13 save. I've chosen my home-town club Leeds which has the added bonus of being one of the fallen giants in English soccer.

I've downloaded this update that is up to the 19th May, so close enough the end of season. This gives me a bit of a boost as Leeds were taken over mid-season so I've got a bit of money. I've loaded 10 European leagues, which are mostly the biggest and I've got a pretty big database (currently 121,000 players).

We're predicted to finish 8th and I've told the board that I expect to challenge for the title, which has led them to give me £5.4m to spend with £40k spare in wages, which can be adjusted. I'm gonna be playing a 4-1-2-2-1 with wingers, and hopefully playing a possession based brand of soccer.

Last final note: I've been trying with my previous few saves to concentrate on the financial side of FM, so I'll have a wage cap in (of my own accord) so I don't expect miracles and this game will probably annoy me a lot more than others! There's also a handy article on this here if anyone wants to read it.

A hearty "**** off" to the Crystal Palace board, who gave me 6M after being promoted to keep the team in the EPL.
