Both of those seem good, but I'm really interested in creating my own universe. It's something I find myself doing in a lot of games (NCAA creating a whole conference, OOTP creating a whole world of baseball, etc).

That being said, they both look like good bases to kind of familiarize myself with some of the things I would need to do to set up the pyramid I'd want to create.

That being said, they both look like good bases to kind of familiarize myself with some of the things I would need to do to set up the pyramid I'd want to create.

Trial and error is probably the best for you. I haven't used the editor this year so much, but once you get the grasp of it you can do some pretty cool things.

I can help, but it might involve a fair few PM's.

So if there's anyone who could look at an editor file and maybe help me figure out what's happening, let me know. I've created the structure I want in the USA (promotion/relegation/teams/leagues), and I keep getting a crash on game creation when I try to test it out in FM 2014. Here's the file:

The nation rules are apparently fine in the editor, yet when you try test it in the editor, it makes the editor crash.

I've had the same problem too. I think it's pretty obvious I know just enough to be dangerous, but not quite enough to know what I'm doing.

Thanks for taking a look! Maybe I'll have to rethink some of my structure?

I could post a crash dump. I've tried to open it in Sublime Text and Notepad and I didn't see anything very helpful. Is there something I can use to get any kind of info from the crash?

One of these days, I'll beat Celtic. However, I'll take a 2-2 draw where I was down 2-0 at the 75th minute and a saved penalty and two goals by a 17-year old salvaged me a point.

Coming up on the winter transfer window and I'm about £600 p/w over my wage budget. My Dartford squad currently sit in 13th in the Skrill Prem and I've just sold my former GK who was transforming into a backup.

I'm not really sure who to keep and who to sell. I could get rid of my LW who is making 500 but then I'd be worried about not scoring.

So i'm up 2-1 and my keeper lets two easy ones by him. From sharp angles too.

I'm lucky that my striker had a hat trick, otherwise I probably would have slapped him (my keeper)

My whole team was playing well except for him, that's so frustrating. Especially when he makes a few amazing saves and then cant make the routine ones

So i transfer listed like 5 players, including my starting striker...
Then he gets a hat trick, a 2 goal game, and another goal in a third game.

This is all after he scored 5 in the first 18 matches. Guess he just needed a kick in the rear end

This sort of sneaked up on me. Newcastle won the League Cup, so 6th gets me European football.

Now I've posted this, I expect to lose my last 4 games.

Edit: I won 2, lost 2 and ended up finishing 7th. I beat Liverpool 3-0 on the last day and had a big hand in this (this is the end of 2020/21 season):

They have a wage bill of £98.5m ($167m). As much as their players might want to come to me, I can't afford anyone.
