After my bid was turned down by Liverpool, the press reported that Sterling was simply irate that Rodgers wouldn't let him leave for Arsenal. Then Stevie G backed Sterling, and Liverpool were all but forced to sell.

So Sterling is a huge signing for me. 19 and gobs of potential.

To go with him I signed hulking DM William Carvalho, AML prospect for the the future Correa (who will stay with his club another season before transferring), and some kid my scouts found in the Middle East named Humam Tariq.

Not a bad start to the window, and thanks to the huge transfer budget I was given I still have 60 mil to play with. I don't envision spending much of that, though. I would like a left back and center back, but I'll go with cheap prospects or a cheap vet for those. I was offered Alex Telles for 10 mil, and he's a great prospect, so I might have to bite on that one.
That whole Sterling thing made me legitimately angry reading it. Picturing him with Arsenal in your save is upsetting me more than it should. Not sim!

This is how I felt when I fired it up yesterday. I'm not even going to try to get back into it until I know I have a good stretch of time to sit down and get everything set up. I should have time to sink a bunch of hours into it this weekend and early next week.

      Quick impressions:

The interface is a huge improvement. Way more screens are available to you within a one click. And they are arranged very well. Great job by SI in this department.

The tactics window is going to take some getting used to. At first, I just hated it, but it gets a little better if you play around with a custom view. I like the idea behind it, but taking away the ability to see/assign roles and duties in the field view was really stupid. I do really like the quick comparison between players you get in the drop-down at each position.

I only watched about a half of one match in the 3d view, so I don't have all that much to go on. From what I saw there were a couple things I liked. The players are better proportioned in relation to field size. They've always seemed smaller than they should since they went to 3d. Obviously with motion capture, the models move more realistically. But I have a feeling there are going to be some wonky animations to be found in their first go at it.

Like the new opposition instructions screen. Everything is on one screen now.

In the two hours I spent clicking around, that's pretty much all I got to. Still need to check out scouting, coaching assignments, training, transfers, and tons more.

Couple things thought worth sharing. If you guys are a fan of the scorpio skins here's one for FM15. Turns out that Daz is out of skinning and passing on his work to this guy. It gets rid of the labels on left side bar and makes it a little skinnier among other things and adds an "Instant Result" button.

Also for those who used and Instant Result Skin that want one added to default for FM15 here's the default skin with Instant Result Added:

MediaFire is a simple to use free service that lets you put all your photos, documents, music, and video in a single place so you can access them anywhere and share them everywhere.

Pretty much turned into the Iraqi Messi in a few games for me.

On a side note... because I hate myself and I enjoy spreadsheets, I'm working on one spreadsheet for both players that have minimum release fees and/or transfer listed with an asking price from major clubs.

              Link

I'm assuming most of the players would be Championship/League One-quality type players, at least those that are transfer listed.

edit: Scratch that. Making a second list for Minimum Release Clauses. It'll be here
It annoys me that you can't search for these clauses in game so I'll be very interested in this. I don't mind going through leagues and finding the release clauses if you want a hand? Would probably be able to do it over the weekend.

Question: If I send a player on loan, do I have to have that league loaded for the player to develop? I ask because my board returned feeder club verdicts for a work permit affiliate, and they are all in Bulgaria. I do not have Bulgaria loaded, of course.

Yeah, I'll make it editable by anyone. You *kinda* can, though. I think on the scouting menu you can add Min Release Clause to the view and sort by that, though a ton of them are just average Spanish players.

Just an FYI, though, I'm not sure which currency you play in but I'm using GBP (£) for the sheet.

You, sir, are a god amongst men. I didn't know you could do that in player search. I have never thought to add it to the view and not the filter, that's probably saved me a lot of time.

And after a favorable CL draw, I was handed an unfavorable Capital One Cup Draw. Fortunately I don't care about the COC.
