SI has said the high scores were a problem in the lower leagues, so I might recommend temporarily playing in a top league until SI fixes the lower league problems. It would suck if you had to do this, since you should be able to play in whatever league you want without worrying about the match engine, but it might lead to less frustration.
I'm not actually having the high scoring game problem, and in honesty, I don't mind the odd lazy pass, the only thing I actually hate is that my defenders just stop defending. If it was lazy passes, or a bad pass by the keeper, I'd be fine, those you just learn to shrug off and yell at them later, I can't accept the defenders just stopping defending. It may only be lead to one or two goals, but overall, it's just infuriating that's how the majority of my goals against have gone when there's nothing tactically I can do about it seems. I'm going to start experimenting with a 3-5-2 see what happens. If that doesn't work I'll restart as Arsenal and see how that goes.

Yeah, I just haven't seen the defending problems in my save, which is I why I thought maybe it was a lower league problem. I'm playing a 4-2-3-1 with high pressing, and the pressing by my defenders and midfielders is causing a lot of turnovers, leading to a lot of great counter attacks. I'm also not giving up many goals, and when I do it's usually the result of a through-ball leading to a 1-on-1 as the result of defender pressing or set-pieces. I've only given up 13 goals in 13 EPL matches, and have 5 clean-sheets during that stretch. Mertescielny has a been a beastly combo for me. So yeah, if things don't work out I would try Arsenal to see if things are better. At least there you won't have to worry about getting fired after a promotion.

Apparently I'd have to start a new save for that real name thing to work, and I am not about to start over after putting 66 hours into this save. But thank you, I will use that if I do ever start a new save.

You do not have to start a new save for most of it to work. The competition names and German call-ups work on existing saves. The German call ups will not update until the next time they pick a team. It's only the media stuff that doesn't update. With the small size of the file, there is absolutely no reason to not to just do it. It takes literally 2 minutes tops.

Just realized the link there is where you got that info.

Was playing on a plane today, when they announced that all laptops had to be turned off and stowed. Well, I was up 1-0 on Rangers in an important match, so to hell with their FAA regulations. Held on to win, so it was totally worth the stink eye I got from the flight attendant.

              LOL, that's awesome!

Jurgen Klopp got the sack from Dortmund, and Guardiola is rumored to be sacked next. Dortmund was in 2nd, but Bayern is in 1st, so I don't know why Guardiola is on the hot seat. Rafa Benitez declared interest in the Dortmund job, and Napoli is pissed.

In regards to my team, here are the final CL Group Stage standings. Liverpool certainly did not enjoy their time in Group A, but other than that no shock results:

Figures 2 days before FM 15 comes out, my laptop's screen goes out and I have to wait a couple of days to order for a new one.

I beat Peterborough to advance to the COC semis. And I drew Newcastle, who just sacked Pardew and are performing poorly in the league:

Glad I'm holding off on getting the game until tomorrow because of midterms and some research papers, if I would have pre-ordered I'd have gotten nothing done to be honest :P. Excited with everything you guys have said. Think I'll start out with my usual MLS or LIGA MX save and try to move on to Europe in a year or two along with an international save with Jamaica or Canada.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

Here's the league table at the midway point. The board came to me and offered me the chance to increase my expectations from title challenge to title winner. I had 74 mil remaining in transfer budget money, and was using 174 mil of my 217 mil payroll. If I increased my expectations they would raise my transfer budget to 88 mil and my payroll to 233 mil. I, of course, declined. I don't plan on buying anyone in the January transfer window, I'm already way below my payroll, and the league table is tight. I'm not about to heap more pressure on myself when I'm on pace to meet the board's expectations.

I've also got some decisions to make, as I'm finally getting players back from injury. My makeshift starting lineup has been killing it, especially my winger combo of Cazorla on the left and Ox on the right. But with Sterling and Sanchez returning, I need to decide whether to risk messing with what is working by reinserting those two "new signings" into the starting 11.

Finally, wonderkid Zakaria Bakkali announced he was leaving on a free transfer, so I'm currently competing with 10 other clubs for his signature, including Man City, Real Madrid, Liverpool, and Juventus. I've offered him more than he was asking for to try and win the bidding war, but the clubs I am competing with have sizable pockets. Fingers crossed.

EDIT: And Bakkali signed. He said it was due to my league position. He has mammoth potential, and I'm shocked I got him on a free.
