You just order it and download it on Steam, and the beta is available. No beta codes.

Another new thing I really like: My scouts found an insane potential prospect from the Middle East who cost only $275k. I knew there was no chance in hell he gets a work permit. But now when requesting an affiliate you can specifically request one to send players who fail work permit applications.

Sorry to rain on your parade a bit, but that's been in there a while I think.

The amount of goals are still worrying me. I've seen a team in my league ship 7+ goals 4 times this season and we've only played around 12 games. They aren't that bad.

Yeah, the work permit thing has been in there before.

Wow, I continue to learn new things about FM each day, and I've been playing since the Championship Manager days.

If I had known you could do that, I would have been saved a lot of trouble in FM 14.

There are lots of goals but the other thing bothering me is that I feel like the wingers and full backs are dominant. They run down wide, pin point cross and goal! My wingers are dominant too. Don't feel that my central midfielders are influencing games enough.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

Raheem Sterling had a row with Brendan Rodgers after Rodgers tried to take Podolski off my hands. Sterling was upset because he thought Rodgers was trying to replace him, and the press pundits speculated that Sterling might want to leave. And I decided to test that theory.

After my bid was turned down by Liverpool, the press reported that Sterling was simply irate that Rodgers wouldn't let him leave for Arsenal. Then Stevie G backed Sterling, and Liverpool were all but forced to sell.

So Sterling is a huge signing for me. 19 and gobs of potential.

To go with him I signed hulking DM William Carvalho, AML prospect for the the future Correa (who will stay with his club another season before transferring), and some kid my scouts found in the Middle East named Humam Tariq.

Not a bad start to the window, and thanks to the huge transfer budget I was given I still have 60 mil to play with. I don't envision spending much of that, though. I would like a left back and center back, but I'll go with cheap prospects or a cheap vet for those. I was offered Alex Telles for 10 mil, and he's a great prospect, so I might have to bite on that one.

Humam Tariq was a must sign in FM14.

Pretty much turned into the Iraqi Messi in a few games for me.

On a side note... because I hate myself and I enjoy spreadsheets, I'm working on one spreadsheet for both players that have minimum release fees and/or transfer listed with an asking price from major clubs.

                          Link

I'm assuming most of the players would be Championship/League One-quality type players, at least those that are transfer listed.

edit: Scratch that. Making a second list for Minimum Release Clauses. It'll be here

To get my feet wet I started a save with Man United. First thing I did was get rid of Ryan Giggs as my assistant manager since he doesn't have that great coaching stats. I signed Jair Ventura, who I had a relationship with since FM 2013.

I'm not a big fan of the new browser, I also noticed they got rid of the creativity rating.

Will this run on a tablet? I plan on getting the Nexus 9 when it comes out.

No, it won't, but SI makes a tablet version of the game. It's a simpler, watered-down version, but it's still way more detailed than other tablet sports games.
