Talk about a player doing a 180. Bring him in during the winter transfer period, mostly thinking of playing him next year as my starting striker is retiring at the end of the season. Well, he picks up a sprained ankle in preseason, my assistant's are complaining about his training performance....so I don't play him, even though my team is struggling to score goals (thank God for the proficiency of my backline). He demands a transfer. I give in, but I still keep his butt on the bench. Transfer period goes by...nobody wants him. Suddenly, he decides he wants to stay. Suddenly, my coaches are commending him for his training performance. Then injuries force my hand and I put him in the First XI..and he starts banging in goals.

I love this freaking game! Lol

I'm really getting tired of the Match Engine again, last four games, I can't buy a goal to save my life, but my opponents can chip from 25 yards out and my GK forgets that he's even in the game. Literally draining all of the fun out of the game as I watch my players walk around the pitch like they're dumber than a box of rocks, it might be time for a break.

Well, here I am, eating crow, was going to try and get to the winter break and take a break from the game for a week or so, so I scrap one of my tactics add in a generic 4-2-1-2-1 counter to play against City, and, this happens....

It's like the game knows I'm close to rage quitting, and it's just like, naw man, everything is okay....

My UCL victory feels so cheap, I got out of a hard group, and beat Juventus, Real Madrid and Chelsea, but none of those squads were near full strength when I beat them. Chelsea had 6 injuries, Madrid had 5(all in the Starting XI) and Juventus was in the middle of a managerial change.

I've all but given up on the league. I'm in 3rd right now, could possibly overtake City for 2nd, and worst case scenario, Arsenal catches me, and I finish in 4th. The last few weeks, I've been resting a lot of my main guys for league matches, and going all out for the Champions League matches.

Champions League Semifinals vs. Real Madrid.

First leg: I went up 2-0 at the Bernabeau, but Real scored 3 consecutive to win. But I felt good about having 2 away goals.

Second leg: Ross Barkley scores a great goal (tried to upload it to YouTube, but for some reason it wouldn't log me in from FM) to clinch it.

Through to the final vs. Juventus

Been playing this a lot lately, just breezing through the season and saw this. Hahahaha, also Zidane is one of the top coaches in my save.

What year are you in now? You were in 2022 last time you posted I think?

I've been playing a bit around with Vaduz in Switzerland (it's the same save as my Leeds save, I just changed clubs) and it's currently April 2024 and there's a few weird things:

              - Daniel Levy is the Chairman of Arsenal (current Spurs chairman)
              - Liverpool got promoted into the Premier League last season
              - Since 2016/17, Coventry have spent £192m. They have been in the Championship every year, apart from 2019/20, when they were in League 1. It's an average of £24m spent per year.
              - Paolo Di Canio is in charge of West Ham, which I thought was a bit cool.

There's no point in playing with Vaduz mate, you can't play the Champions League because they're from Liechtenstein and not from Switzerland. I played with them in FM13 and always played the Europa League even though I won the Swiss title every year.

It's fine, I knew this already. It's why I'm not being particularly serious about playing with them. How much money did you manage to get each year? Were you able to bring the youth facilities up and create good players for Liechtenstein?

I'm trying to get to grips with them more than anything else as I plan on doing a save with them on FM15 if the Europa League winner is guaranteed Champions League football is implemented.

I never managed to be rich, even after 15 seasons. I couldn't get a new stadium and the Liechtenstein regens were awful despite having solid facilities. By shopping smartly I managed to dominate the league for 5+ years but nothing really changed in terms of my reputation and regens.

Good luck if you're planning a long save with them, I got super frustrated tbh.

And the EL winner playing in the CL is great, but you'd probably have to win them back to back because elimination in the CL means you automatically miss it next year (unless you're 3rd in the group stage).

April 2024 as well. Nothing crazy in my save.

Best regen in my save are from Mexico and Algeria.

Somewhat coincidentally, Moyes has been the manager of Coventry for the past 3 years.

Notable random world class players: South African RB, Angolan DM/MC, Tunisian DC, UAE DC/DM/MC, Iraqi SC who are all rated over £30m.

One of the top striker is from Belarus while best midfielders are from Bosnia, Greece, and Bulgaria. There's not a lot of top regens from England nor Spain in my save.

After finishing 21st in the first 3 years, finished 2nd and promoted. I'm getting relegated right away, but I need that PL $$$$$
