I know man. I've been scored on like that too before so I don't feel bad when I'm gifted these. My team is special right now. They just surprise me through and through with their resilience.

My transfer windows almost done. After pulling off coups in signing Bakkali and Leali for next season I signed Ajer and Enes Unal for a total of £4.2 million. Also signed Savtisky and got a work permit for him.

If those guys develop like my scouts think they will (I've scouted all of them), then you could have the best team in England. Bakkali in particular. Just watch out for board takeovers. Those can be a real bitch.

Yeah lol. You wouldn't know anything about those now would you?

One thing I will have to do is sign some reserve players and u18s for next season. I set a whole bunch of crappy players for release. I'll worry about that later. I'm trying to figure out who else to sign in the summer. I don't want to spend a lot of cash on wages but I know I'll need some midfield experience. Tielemans is young and doesn't want to play for me. Right now I have Lansbury, Vaughn and Gil Romero as my only midfielders over 21. I'll rotate Ajer and hope Tielemans changes his mind.

I'll likely shop for a defender too with experience. Vallejo is going to be good. I've sold Collins and won't resign Halford leaving me with Mancienne, Wilson, and Hobbs. I'll sell one of those 3 for a more talented defender to play alongside Vallejo.

My wingers and attackers seem strong. Shala has been solid while Coric has improved during the season. Antonio has been one of my best players alongside Assombalonga and Tariq and Savitskiy are progressing slowly along. I'll likely target a more experienced winger for cover. Bakkali though should slot in and do well.

As for strikers Britt is the guy until Unal joins me next season. Matty Fryant I'll likely keep for sentiment since he scored some big goals for me. Unal is going to be the guy who will take me to CL glory hopefully.

Kuzsczak is my number 1 but Leali's going to challenge him next season but I'm more or less set in that regard.

Overall, I'm happy that my team is doing well but other than some tweaking I have my core group set up for years to come

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

Well, the board takeover was finalized. They wanted to install Arsene Wenger as manager, but the new chairman ultimately decided to keep me. I'm guessing Wenger was happy at Inter where he's predicted to win the league. Whatever the reason, I get to keep my job.

This was finalized one week before the transfer deadline, so I really had to hustle to bring in players. I blew my entire transfer budget, but I'm quite pleased with the signings I made. Because the board only wanted a Europa League finish this year and wanted me to sign young players, I decided to have my scouts focus on players aged 17-22. I wanted to find wonderkids who could play a role in the squad now, and build a team that could contend for years to come.

Because my defense was in shambles, I signed John Stones and Niklas Süle to anchor my central defense. Süle was easy to find as he was two of my new scout signings "highest recommended player." I will still probably leak goals because my DR and DL are rubbish. As I wrote before, Rudi García thought it would be a good idea to sell many of my best players, including the fullbacks, so for next season I'll focus on upgrading my DR and DL.

In addition to the two defenders, I signed Youri Tielemans to be my CM star of the future. Since FM loves me, he tore his hamstring immediately after signing, so he's regressed slightly. But my scouts say he has world class potential, so I doubt the injury sets him back that much. And that's one thing that annoys me about FM, where a player gets injured and his ratings start to go down. And then they don't rebound when he's recovered from the injury. At Arsenal last season Walcott got injured for three months, and by the time he was back to full fitness he was at 2 1/2 star ability. And since my coaches thought he was playing at his full potential, he was going to stay at 2 1/2 stars.

After Tielemans signed his deal, Fulham transfer listed Patrick Roberts, and I gladly took Roberts off their hands. He's extremely versatile, because he can play both wings and AMC. He'll be playing mostly cup games for me, so I might try to loan him out.

Finally, my predecessor left me with GKs who had 2 star ability and potential. So I signed Leali on a free transfer to be my backup, and Consigli to be my starter. He has fantastic reflexes, and he's made some crucial saves in the three games he's started.

So Stones, Süle, Tielemans, Roberts, Leali, and Consigli is a pretty good haul. Now I can focus on trying to exceed the board's expectations and qualify for the CL.

Milan sacked Prandelli after they opened up Serie A with a 3 match losing streak. They wanted to interview me for the job, and while I was tempted, I declined. I like what I'm building at Roma, so for me to leave it would have to be a big step-up in terms of club stature. And even then I'm not sure I'd leave.

sometimes i really hate my squad, i had plans on rebuilding, but apparently we're just going to win segunda b and fail miserably in liga adelante next season.

sigh. i debated throwing the playoff games, but that would probably end up making me feel worse, i have a 50k wage budget and 0 transfer budget headed into next year.

Can you bring in some defender loans, play a tight, defensive tactic, and try to draw just enough games to stay up? I know even that's probably a long shot, but in the alternative if you're destined to go down I would consider leaving for a better job.

The table heading in to the new year:

I signed Balanta, Bakkali (couldn't wait for the free transfer) and Bonucci. I had something weird happen to me. I play a game and RVP tears his hamstring but the game crashes. I play the same again and Rooney gets the same injury instead, its as if someone was intended to get that injury.

I also feel victim to the yearly schedule bug, I was forced to play games a day apart.

Not bad in my first year in Serie B. Not expecting much as my key players are all injured.

Really neat feature I like, Hover over the win/lost/tie stat and you can see the results. Hover over goals for and you can see how many goals you scored against a specific team, same with goals against.

Drew Catanzaro, scored 9 goals against them on the year.

Edit: Going to the finals. Beat Catanzaro 4-3 and then Cesena 6-5 on aggregate after almost choking it away.

1-1 against Chievo on the year, really excited.

Edit x2: Lost 4-3 in the finals /cries

I noticed that the regen dates are changed every year.

                                1st year - March 17th
                                2nd year - March 7th
                                3rd year - March 5th

2nd year in Serie B isn't going so well. I want to sell everyone, I'm sure everyone can relate.
