Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

Can anyone either point me to a guide, or explain how the Financial Fair Play works?

I'm currently on pace to pass both Profit/Loss and salary raise restriction in the EPL and Europe--but honestly, I have no idea what this means, or--perhaps more importantly, don't know what would cause me to fail.

    Any help is greatly appreciated...

you should be able to find that info on your FFP page, here's a the full UEFA policy - http://www.uefa.com/community/news/newsid=2064391.html

And the EPL wage policy as well as an overview of other policies -> http://www.financialfairplay.co.uk/f...-explained.php

5~7 days, sometimes earlier when I'm really into the save.

        Back to back promotions

Most of my main players are loaned players so I need to upgrade the squad pretty fast. Got about 10M to play with in the transfer budget.

I was wondering if Melilla gets some Moroccan regens based on its location, but nothing so far after 4 years.

Update: Playing friendlies with 1 CB on the roster because I'm still getting used to the new scouting system.

I'm finding it hard to continue my current save. I get bored really fast doing the same thing all the time. I think I need to try doing a save with no European leagues loaded at all. Maybe all Asia or Africa. Or South America. Or maybe the USA Pyramid.

This reminds me I had to test something, as well as add the Super Cup to that db. I'll do that tonight and ship you the database again if you're interested.

Also, moved on from St. Louis FC after a disagreement with the board, landed at SG Dynamo Dresden sitting comfortably mid-table at the end of the season, they were just looking for a manager to take them to the next level.

Ya I'll check it out. No rush though. I might not get to it until next week.

have you tried the DoF challenge? I tried it in St. Louis, and I personally couldn't manage it, but it might be more interesting for someone else...

The biggest thing that I have run into with FFP is the wage part of it. Your wage budget can only increase by x% each year. There were times when I'd go on big spending sprees and would increase that wage bill and it got me in trouble. I don't think I ever had any point deductions, but I think I did get fined or something like that.

Using the other db from claasen i realised something and it just broke the game for me, but every Quarter Final is named "quarte de final" and that simple mistake is strangely game-breaking for me

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

Well, the job hunt following my sacking at Chelsea was interesting. RB Leipzig and Lazio offered interviews. Leipzig didn't offer me the job, but Lazio did. Upon looking at the state of the club, I declined. They're in a good deal of debt at the moment and mid-tabling in Serie A. It'd be a good project, but I wanted something more stable.

Mid-June arrives and Barcelona fire their manager after a 4th place finish in La Liga and a CL exit in the round of 16. A news story runs about Barca fans wanting me to be their next head man(I'm quite flattered). The only thing they've won since the start of the save is the Copa del Rey in year 1. They're hungry for some silverware.

                        Count me in.

Messi, Suarez, Pique are all starting to get on at 33(though still talented enough to keep for at least 1 more year), Iniesta is retiring. So it's all around quite an aged team, by contrast, my Chelsea team this past season was more on the younger side. Time to start building for a new era at Barcelona.

I actually did this in my second full season with Hull. I hired the best DoF I could and set him to everything. We won the damn league with his signings. And that really pissed me off. So I don't want to play that save anymore. He did ridiculous business that there was no way I could have made those transfers. He overhauled the entire staff also. There was no reason for me to be apart of the club at that point.

Damn, mine was the literal exact opposite, I had us under budget, doing well, and then brought him in and he just destroyed everything, signed players on way to high of wages, overloaded the squad with strikers(i had 7, when I play with one up top) and had us 5k over the wage budget.

Weirdest part is the New York Red Bulls came in and hired him before I even got the chance to fire him.
