So far they've said "we need you on the training ground" twice and "you're not getting results right now"

Yeah, a lot of good I'm doing with my one star coaching that you won't let me improve.

This will end badly. Sad part is I'm top of the table for now:

1860 has had no problem sending anyone on any courses, and I managed to go from National B to Continental Pro in the 3 1/2 years I've been there.

Your determination plays a big factor in board requests.

Well boys, it was a good run. 11 years at Wembley. Longest I've ever managed one team on any FM. Six promotions and titles in a row. Then a few years in League One stagnating. Bouncing back and forth with mid table and flirting with relegation, before getting relegated back to League Two.

And facing a second relegation in a row before Christmas (because of our crazy financial issues and contract limitations), I was asked to get 10 points in 5 games. And I failed, so I was let go. The entire backroom staff walked out, which I had never seen before. That was kind of cool. That is what you get for sacking a club legend. I'd like to blame it all on Howard, but its really my fault for not being more careful with contracts. Bank loans for stadium expansions didn't help either.

Fun save. More of an experiment than a full on save I guess. I really only played maybe 12 games each season. But I enjoyed it a lot. Sad to see it end like that too. I may holiday 25 years into the future to see what happens to them.

I hate registration rule in La Liga and the minimum release clause in each contract so much.

I’m starting a new one with a team in French 5th division, but haven’t picked a team yet.

              2030-31 Amiens SC Season Overview

              Ligue 1: 2nd
Champions League: First Knockout Round (West Bromwich Albion)
French Cup: Quarterfinals (Racing Club de Lens)
              League Cup: Runner-Up (Paris Saint-Germain)
Top League Goal Scorer: Danilo Camargo (20)
Top Overall Goal Scorer: Danilo Camargo (35) *New Record
              Most Assists: Sebastien Lebrun (14)
Highest Attendance: 38,416 vs Le Havre (Ligue 1)
Lowest Attendance: Every game sold out...literally
              Average Attendance: 38,416 *New Record

Perhaps Amiens should expand the stadium again. For the first time since the new Amiens Stadium was built in 2022, every game on the calendar was a sellout. Yes, even the cup draws. Fan support is through the roof, and we can't thank them enough. What did we have to show them?

We closed the gap on PSG. But there is still a gap. At the halfway point in the season, we held a one-point lead on PSG in the title race. Down the stretch though, too many missed opportunities. Too many draws, not enough wins. We finished a strong second, as third place Monaco didn't mount much of a challenge on us.

Nacho Varela's goalscoring record lasted exactly...one season. The goal scoring exploits of Chelsea loanee Danilo Camargo were a sight to behold. Camargo and Varela combined for 57 of the team's 120 goals across all competitions.

Finishing second is nice. Going to Champions Leauge is nice.

I want to win Ligue 1. I want to dethrone PSG at the top of League 1. It's going to happen. One day.

Board is giving me $12.65M in transfer funds to spend next summer. Let's see what happens.

I had previously increased my transfer budget from $1m to about $2m by asking the board. Then, this appears in my inbox.

Yeah, that will definitely help I'd love a 20x increase.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

So I've started yet another save. Another journeyman. This time everything but Europe loaded. First job was in Malaysia. And it was very interesting. Short and interesting.

We started strong, 6 wins and 2 draws. Then the team leader asked to leave for a new challenge. I said you can't leave until the end of the season. He got very angry. The next game we got obliterated 13-1. I fined everyone for poor performances. And it was at that moment I lost the entire dressing room. After a failed team talk about poor morale and another about my terrible management style, we lost the next 6 games. So I started applying for jobs. I was offered one in India on the same day the board asked to have a meeting, I assume to fire me or give me an ultimatum. So I accepted the job in India. Only to find out their season doesn't start for 6 months. Second job and no badges yet.

The Durand Cup. The Indian pre-season cup that takes place 5 months before the league starts in January. Because why not.

But that scheduling though. This should be interesting.

5 months until the league season starts, you'd think they would space that cup schedule out a little more. Hope your players are still alive after that.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

I'm still baffled by this scheduling in India. It makes no sense. I looked it up, this is the real life setup. They are insane.

We won the cup. And no one cares. The players, my board. The media. No one cares. Note to self for next year. **** this cup. Also these team names.

And look at those dates. The day after the final group stage game is the semi-final. WHAT! Then two days later is the final. Why are we rushing this people?

Also on top of that there is an Asian international tournament going on at the time. So I had 10 of my players away on international duty during the cup. (3 senior the rest u20) Are you ****ing kidding me. If I didn't have 45 players that would have been a huge issue.

Luckily as soon as I saw the scheduling I signed a bunch of free agent players for $100 a week on 6 month contracts. So we out fitness-ed everyone to wins because I had fresh players for every match. While our opponents were fielding teams with everyone under 70% and some times 60% fitness. Much better quality players. But by the second half of matches they are all dead on their feet and we were running circles around them.

Also my assistant is in charge of making friendlies happen. I think hes does his job drunk. He made one shortly after the Durand cup for no reason. Then the players went on a "mid season break". They came back for one friendly in November. And he didn't schedule anything else between that and December friendlies. So why is the team back from holiday exactly? What is even happening in this country? Also the league ends in April. Then you have May to August off (for friendlies) also. I don't even. That is another four months.

And I was turned down for a badge course because "I might improve and a bigger club would want me".

I struggle with the idea of doing a save like this. I don't know any of the leagues, teams, players...nothing. I like the idea of something VERY DIFFERENT, but also think I would struggle to feel invested.

I fully admit that I haven't done this because I'm very intimidated by it, and my overall lack of knowledge of anything related to non-European, non-US football.

That is what makes it fun I think. Learning about all the different leagues and their crazy rules and setups.

Also, update on India. Man is the whole setup goofy over there.

At the start of the season there is a big Asian international tournament. For all Asian countries. The AFC Asian Cup. There was also one back in September. The SAFF Suzuki Cup, which is only for Southern Asian countries. And India actually won it.

So anyway, I'm losing 6 players (4 starters) for at least the first four games of the season. In an 18 game season. Because to start the season the league plays two games a week. But then goes to one game a week. Why? And if India advance out of the group stage, they could be out much longer. This is bonkers. Its such a bizarre setup. Everything conflicts schedule wise and is rushed.
