Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
I'm playing a 4-2-3-1 with them and it's working out well. I have Fellaini set up as a box to box beside a deep lying playmaker. Pienaar and Mirallas cover the wings with Osman in the hole and Jelavic as my poacher. Osman has been quite good although he's 31. With Dzagoev coming in January, my team will only get better
Unless of course, injury strikes - Howard's now gone for 3-4 weeks which means Craig Gordon is now my starter.Comment

I just had a player sent off on a Straight Red for "Violent Conduct." I've never seen it listed like that before.
Replay didn't make it look that bad. I appealed the Ban and got a Further 2 Match ban in return. The Italian FA is in on it I bet.Comment

Check the match commentary. Your player probably elbowed someone in the head.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
After a 4th place finish in the EPL and a loss to Juventus 1-0 on aggregate in the knockout stages (who ended up winning the CL 0-0 on penalties against Barca). I got a 5 year extension from Abramovich. The board was thrilled with the attacking football we were playing. During that year I brought in Benzema and Falcao along with Llorente on free transfer during the summer. I wasn't expecting Falcao but he wanted to come here and was very disgruntled and Madrid was forced to sell him cheaper than they liked. Now I am trying to figure out how to make it all work in the end. Torres is still here by the way. No one wants to buy him but there are some teams looking to loan him.
3-2 win over Arsenal to begin the season followed by a 5-1 win over Levante in the 1st leg of the CL.
Kevin De Bruyne is back from loan and seems is going to make a big impact for me this season.
Manchester United made some huge moves during the summer. One of them was sending Evra to PSG and brining in Bale.Comment

I started over as Arsenal this time. Figured I could learn the game better if my team was good, that it would be more forgiving. After I play it for awhile and get the hang of everything more, I'll probably start back up as Fulham again.
Anywho, I drew 1-1 with Chelsea in the first match of the season, so that was cool. Olivier Giroud with a goal in the 37th minute, but Chelsea equalized in the 78th with a Ramires strike.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

And sign lots and lots of youth players.
Everyone, whats the worst injury you've ever encountered in FM? I had a player have a double leg fracture. He was out for 13 months.Mets/Giants/Knicks/Rangers/Manchester United/Notre Dame Football

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Did they just add in coaching philosophies this year? I made one after my first season that I went after young players and now into the start of my second year the board is very happy with my lack of youth signees.
I don't remember this feature in years past. I made sure to sign a handful of young guns after that meeting though.Comment

My Everton save crashedI was doing so well too. Such as life - starting a new save as Spurs, a team trying to get back into the CL and with Bale, Dembele, and Lloris, it should be a good long term save. I will be Chelsea and Real very soon, but for now, it's AVB's Lillywhites

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
I've never had any issue with out-of-game sims.
Started my first official FM13 full-game as Pescara in Serie A.
Tipped for relegation (I think 19th was the pre-season projection) and the board just wanted me to avoid relegation.
Small payroll (325k) for a large league, with no transfer budget. My keeper and entire back 4 are loans that will go away at the end of the season.
The future may not be too bad, they have some pretty good youth prospects, but this game could be a struggle to stay up in the beginning.badComment
