Strong lineup for us. I see us winning comfortably by a few goals.

Didn't expect to see Gibbs back in the lineup so soon.

I saw something yesterday that said he'd be back in the lineup, and I was so excited. He's improving so much and put on an excellent show in the Carling Cup until he went off. Hopefully his return will get Clichy back in gear.

Fabianski looked good, I know he has the potential of being a great goalkeeper. He just needs the confidence.

One game isn't enough to make me think Fabianski has World Class potential, as Wenger claims, and I really hope he doesn't cost us the Chelsea game. Having said that, I hope he plays just as well against the Blues as he did against Partizan and if so I will gladly eat a plate of crow.

Well, that game sucked. This team is nothing without Cesc.

I thought you guys played pretty well and should have at least scored. Wenger needs to stop wasting Nasri out wide. He's creative and plays well in a crowd. Fabianski played well too despite the scoreline. He had no chance on either goal.

I thought we played pretty good as well aside from Squillacci and Arshavin. Chelsea is the superior team, it is what it is. Even with Cesc, they more than likely would have taken all the points.

Speaking of Arshavin, I'm getting pretty fed up with his shennanigans. The guy has the worst work rate I've ever seen and gives the ball away far too cheaply. I would much rather see Rosicky out there than him. His act was bearable when he was putting balls in the back of the net almost every time he got a chance. Now, not so much. He seems to waste more chances than he converts, which was certainly not the case when he first got here.

Agreed about Arshavin. My love relationship has turned into a love/hate with him. I honestly wouldn't care if he lost his spot in the starting eleven. He's wasteful and plays with no sense of urgency when needed.

As for the game today as a whole, it's exactly what I expected. Chelsea are a team poised to win another trophy and we're still trying to put the pieces together. I would've considered a draw a loss at this point, so we just need to move on from this and win the games that on paper we should win.

With Man City now being a more serious threat and Spurs improving, our fourth place spot, unlike last season, is in jeopardy this year.

I think Arshavin looks pretty poor when he's the only really aggressive striker out there. He gets himself into traffic, but doesn't currently have anyone else who can make teams pay for pressing him. Chamahk is so freaking tenative, Wilshire was too far back, and Nasri also seemed a little passive. Arshavin seemed to be the only guy out there attacking the middle. He'll look alot better when the Gooners get some of their weapons back.

Overall, I liked the pace Arsenal played with. They just seemed to build up nicely and fizzle out time and time again. Props to Drogba on a wonderful goal, but I felt arsenal was in it for the most part, though woefully undermanned.

While having Fabregas would obviously have helped, I know some feel it wouldn't have completely pushed us over the edge. I do think he compared with Walcott would've made a massive difference, though. With Walcott out there, you either take Cole out of the game offensively, or allow Walcott to have free runs.

As for Arshavin, when I think about it, perhaps he does play much better with the likes of Fabregas and RVP out there.

They had a lot of opportunities to score and weren't able to take any of them. Fabianski actually looked pretty good in goal. I thought he dealt with corners and crosses better than Alumnia has recently.

Everyone plays better when those two guys are out there. Not everyone takes the day off when they aren't though.

Arshavin is lazy and isn't scoring enough goals where he can get away with it anymore. I can live with him not tracking back, but when he repeatedly gives the ball away and just stands there and watches as the guy goes passed him, thats where I draw the line. Get that goofy smirk off your face and try to win the ball back.
