Man Matrix, how the hell can you stomach that every time city plays a team with a pulse?

By the way, I loved how Cesc called Mancini out after the game.
I was thinking to myself as I was watching, if I seriously had just recently become a City fan, I'd be close to no longer being one. They don't even show up to play football.

As for Cesc, I need to see this. Video or text. Link?

It was as they were walking off the pitch at the end of the game. Mancini and Cesc were having a little bit of a go at each other. Darke said it was over the negative play from city...of course that could have just conjecture on his part.

        Enough said.

Wenger has given him chance after chance in the league and he has been pretty crappy every time he has been brought on. He is young but a side from that I have seen nothing out of him that makes me think he is Arsenal quality. I mean the kid can't even make the subs bench anymore. That tells you all you need to know.
Given him chance after chance? 10 minutes every 4 games isn't "chance after chance". Let him get a run out and see what he does, 2 goals against Braga, goal against Blackburn in September. All he needs is a consistent amount of playing time to get his confidence up and he hasn't gotten that. I'd rather judge him on his string of Carling Cup games where he played a full 90 minutes than judge him on 9 garbage minutes in a Premier League game.

All I needed to see from Vela in an Arsenal shirt was against Wigan his first year.. long ball played down the flank, he beats the defender (who was closer to the ball than he was) to the ball, takes control of the ball and dribbles into the box and sets Jay Simpson up for a tap-in. He's got pace, he has touch and control, he's a hard worker, and he can finish. Obviously he can't do all of those consistently yet, but he's young and he doesn't get a ton of playing time. I think a loan spell would be great for him, he can go somewhere in Spain and get a good run of games and come back to the club with confidence.

Man that was frustrating to watch. Arshavin did absolutely nothing as a sub, but with the way Citeh were playing, it really wouldn't have mattered who Wenger brought on. World class save from Hart, though, and that kept it from being a 1-0 Gunners win.

I think if he kept Theo on we had a much better chance of grabbing a goal. It seems bringing Arshavin on has just become routine, like it was when Theo would come on for him. Not only did he have no positive effect on the game, I think he had a negative one. During the last Arsenal match the commentators were saying there have been reports that players are tired of his poor work ethic not only in matches, but in training.

Chamakh hasn't seen much action lately. What's going on with him? Unused sub last night.

RVP's return means Chamakh will be used less. However, I bet Chamakh will start this Saturday against Leeds.

Just find it surprising with the great start to his Arsenal career. 10 goals in all comps. so far. 7 in the PL. Boggles the mind that Bendtner comes on ahead of him.

I will say that Bendtner coming on before him boggles my mind. I will also say that Bendtner coming on and staying out wide left boggled my mind. He can play on the wing, but this season we've seen Chamakh and Bendtner both on and playing up front together. So, I was expecting that yesterday.

I think I heard somewhere that the physicality of the premier league was wearing on him and that he needed a break.

Very possible. Especially considering he's not used to it and was playing quite a bit.

I don't necessarily think it's routine, but instead I think Wenger keeps hoping for a bit of magic like the volley goal he scored against Wigan. In other words, I think it's clear that Wenger has tired of his laziness (Arshavin has been dropped from the starting 11), but he is still capable of scoring a wonder goal, so that's why he is brought on. Or you could be right, and it is just routine, but I certainly hope not. Either way, let's hope we see less of Arshavin until his work ethic picks up.
