Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***
Apparently Nasri feels the same way we do about Cesc, that no matter what, we can't replace Cesc if (and inevitably when) he leaves. Because of this, Nasri wants to go to a place where he has a better chance of winning things. So it seems more like we lose none or both.Comment

Pretty good article in The Guardian.
Without control, a manager is no longer the author of his own story. This summer Wenger is being dictated to by events for which he is to blame. A grand idea taken to an unworkable extreme is the way many of us regard the great Arsenal project to impose flowing one-touch football on the Premier League. Those of us who want him to prosper with a team built in his own creative image despair when fundamental prerequisites for success are wilfully omitted, such as a properly organised and resolute back five.Comment

Whether we like it or not in an open market Nasri is worth 110k a week and if we don't pay it then there are multiple teams lining up that will."The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. Even if you're giving minimal effort there is no way you can fail."

I still can't believe that we won't bend from our wage structure. If we are to stay in the top 4 we have got to give our better players higher wages. Instead we give stupid wages to guys like Denilson and Bendtner that they don't deserve.

It's just business and it sucks that in the modern day that is what it is, but it's best to accept that. Sadly, the brass at the club haven't. They're raising ticket prices and make insane amounts each home game. Just pay him as I still think he's on his way to being one of the best in the world in the future. At this point, paying Nasri isn't a gamble, it's an investment.Comment

Oh I just wanted the figures out there. I still think the whole solution to keeping Nasri is backing up the truck to his door and unloading the money. The second that happens, he says everything was a misunderstanding and the supporters move on.

Sky is reporting that he's rejected the latest offer. I don't want to see him go, but if he's going to, we need to get on it. Preseason training starts next week and this team has a lot of work to do for next season. I was hoping by this point we'd have all of our business done. Although, it is only July 2nd. Time to take some deep breaths.
Meanwhile, Wenger is saying he wants him to stay. Well, I'd hope so.

Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***
This is getting to be disappointing. I know we are not the club to just push transfer rumors through the press or to overpay for players just to get them for the hell of it but all I keep reading is that "no concrete offer" has been made. First Gervinho, then Samba and now Cahill. Why the f*** can't we just put money down? We're on the brink of losing 3 starters, 2 of which are the best players we have and we won't hurry to try to bring anyone in to try and save the team. You know Nasri wants trophies, show him that were serious about winning them. Don't *****foot around and continue with our normal transfer tactics, that's why we're here in the first place. This club makes me so angry sometimes at how stubborn they are with the most easily fixed problems.Comment

Don't know how legit it is but I just read on the Sky transfer ticker that you are interested in Kevin Doyle. Seriously?Comment
