If we win, all is better and we did what was needed to bring trophies. If the team is worse off, the fans have no one to blame but themselves for pressuring the team into heading the wrong direction. Until then, it looks as if Arsene and the board aren't doing enough and won't listen to their most important assets.
I think the minute the club starts doing what supporters demand, they're in trouble. Do they need to bring in a few players? Yes. However, the crowd booing won't do anything to speed that process up.

Even if we bring in a defender or two, it's still an entire team effort to defend and we're very poor at it right now.

I still think we'll grab a CB, but that will be it unless Cesc leaves.

Juan Mata's father/agent has said Valencia have rejected our offer. However, there is no mention of how much or when we offered.

My gut is we inquired about him and they said he's not for sale. If we made an actual offer, I'd expect to see far more details.

I would much rather see progress on the Nasri front than any midfield additions.

Nasri will sign if we win something. That is the only chance we have of keeping him other than giving him some Man City type wages which won't happen.

I tend to give hom a little more credit than that, it not that he wants to leave he just wants what he deserves equal pay to cesc.

He doesn't deserve equal pay to Cesc. He had a good half a season. That is it.

True it was a half a season of excellent form. But are you telling me you wouldnt pay him? If he can give me 80% of that half a season all the time im sold.

I'm torn. Part of me says sell him and the other part of me says just pay him. Only issue is if it's money he wants, he'll get more of it somewhere else.

I look at it this way everybody wants to get paid, i think he would just rather get paid to play his style of ball at Arsenal.

Plus, this team has been booed off the pitch before and it's done nothing. It certainly didn't motivate them last year.
No doubt the game and Cup mean nothing. However, this brings back certain memories of last season. I don't like booing my own teams and never have but after that game I would leave that stadium with a sour taste in my mouth.

It's still a preseason friendly, though. Who was responsible for the own goal? Kyle Bartley. He won't be seeing first team action this year, so the circumstances are a bit different. It brings up awful memories, but as I read somewhere else, nobody gives a damn about preseason games when you win, but when you lose, suddenly they matter. Which just shows how we shouldn't judge the team on them at all.

If they play that way once the season does start, boo, hiss and throw something if needed. But for now, I'll wait. Until Djourou scores an own goal that is.

You're right, we shouldn't judge them. That is why no one is talking about United's victory over Barca right now.

But the fact that Arsenal is on the microscope and United are blowing MLS teams out, Chelsea has won the Asian Cup, and City is playing well makes this a issue for some.

At the end of the day none of it matters but it will make certain media/fans nervous already.

I was already nervous before we started preseason training.

It's hard not to judge these games, but we shouldn't, but it doesn't mean I do not as like I said, it's hard not to.

I'm almost certain two years ago Chelsea had a horrible preseason in terms of loses, yet they won the domestic double. Not saying we will, but in general it seems to not be a barometer to follow.

SZCZ said they've been working hard on corners and set pieces in training, but it still worries me. Especially our stupid zonal marking.

Zonal marking and our high line are going to kill us, again. Well, if anything does it'll be those two. I think we're set for a year where we actually score when we couldn't last year but still can't stop anyone.

Barca are set to improve their offer to £35 million for Cesc, which would be their final offer I assume.

What should we tell them? Hmmm. Perhaps, **** off.

Honestly, I don't think you will. Wenger will finally concede defeat and just let him go. Take the 35 million or whatever it is and re-invest it right away on your defense.
