Alot of posters on BBC's 606 site are pushing for Wenger to play Vela, Wilshire and Ramsey more often. I think Wenger is slowing getting them accustomed to the physical style of the Premier League. He slowly brought Theo into the mix and look at him now. They are still very young.

Sure, I'd love to see Vela play every week but I know he's one for the future. His time will come.

Is it ever too early for transfer window speculation? Well, yes of course, but here you go anyways, courtesy of foxsports.com:

            van Buyten to Arsenal?

I dunno, he didn't really take the country by storm with his loan move to Man City did he?

William Gallas, the most crap-tastic captain EVER. I wish he would smoke more, then maybe he would require a tracheotomy and couldn't talk anymore...

Must be the worst captain we've ever had. Now Pat Rice & Tony Adams, they are true captains!

According to France Football, Gallas has been dropped by AW for tomorrow's game. Djourou to partner Silvestre.

You know, I was thinking about that while reading the Arseblog at OleOle. At the time, I assumed that Gilberto would be named captain after filling in for Henry the previous year and was surprised when he wasn't given the armband on a permanent basis. But, as I thought about it today I realized that if Gilberto were the captain, it would have been difficult for Wenger to start Flamini with Cesc in the middle, which in hindsight was a good move (until he left that is).

So perhaps this was forward thinking by AW, meaning he knew he wanted to play Flamini, so giving Gilberto the armband would have been pointless. Still, he could have done better than Gallas, but again as they say, hindsight is 20/20. All in all, I wish they still had GS in the middle and that he was the captain now. He can't be that washed up at 31 or 32, can he?

Sky Sports is reporting that he's been stripped of the armband. Reports suggest that Almunia will lead us out tomorrow.

This is just too fun. I'm beginning to think that Gallas is suffering from nicotine withdrawal manifesting itself as an extreme lack of judgment and general mental instability...

Gallas Reveals World Cup Unrest (although I think it should be EURO 2008)

                            Here's the best part:

Now in his autobiography, Gallas reports unrest in the France camp during their disastrous Euro 2008 finals, singling out a player who he felt was disrespecting older members of the squad.

It led to a training-ground confrontation between the pair.

Gallas wrote: "I was also 20 years old once. I would never have allowed myself to speak in this tone to a footballer who was older than me."

He added: "The youngsters from the Euros seem cheeky, very sure of themselves. They think they know it all, but they don't know anything.

"Faced with his contempt, I raised my voice. The young player said: 'Lower your voice, speak less loudly'.

"I replied: 'How are you speaking to me? Who do you think you are? You are only 20 years old. I am not your friend.

"He said: 'Me neither, I am not your friend'."
Anyone else find this incredibly comical? I mean, are they on the playground? "I don't like you!" "Well, I don't like you either and I'm older than you, so shut up!" What a joke...

What is Gallas' preoccupation with age? Does he really think that being 31 gives him credibility as a leader? Or is he just trying to identify the other players in question in a roundabout way? Either way, I'm siding with the "other" players here, as I can only imagine what a reprimand from Gallas must consist of:

You know I kind of feel bad for the guy, this will be a blunder on his career due to the fact he was striped from captaincy before the middle of the season on a top team. Although I do think he brought this on himself it should be interesting to see what Wenger does from here on out with him.

Don't feel sorry for him. He is a selfish prideful idiot. Feel bad for RVP and Nasri (I assume these are the 2 he is talking about) who he tossed under the bus when the team was struggling.
