But at this point CB and DM are more important. And hopefully it means we see more Vela.

its a classic case of corporate take over
where wealthy arseholes sit in the middle tier piss off for a meal come back 15 mins into the second half and expect the Arsenal to score 5 goals

these idiots do not have a clue about football, unfortunatly with the cost of tickets rising expidentially then it only a few years before we have no core fan base at the ground

I was at the game and Eboue was shockingly bad and being bood or not wenger was already planning the sub before he lost possesion the final time, add this to the fact that we are just so nervous at home holding a one goal lead the fans get edgy the players get edgy and eboue got boo'd

the noise was 90% from the middle(corporate) tier and a few idiots joined in around the ground. Personnally i Hate eboue i cant stand the diving and theatrics every game he never scores cant defend which is why he ends up on the winger is lazy in tracking back preferring to throw his hands in the air and now has lost the ability to understand pointing, language or the basis of football(as in give me a passing opion ,creat space make a run you lazy sod).

He's not good enough to wear the shirt in my opinion and has no concept of what The Arsenal is all about. But the section i was in wasn t booing him because you never boo your own team when you actually care about them

Ive been thro the Goerge Graham years where you'd pray Arsenal did nt score early or you got to watch the worst type of football imagined( the ironic singing of one nil to the arsenal still makes me shudder), where in the 92-93 season we were hovering around relegation till about febuary where andy Linigan and steve morrow were first team players and the list goes on And I did nt boo then and neither did the guys I stood with then.

I can Guarrantee that no Official word comes out of the club condemming those fans because they are paying for the stadium.

I say loan Simpson out to WBA if they want him and if he'll get some PT. But I'd like to see Vela stay and see some time on the flanks (in addition to the occasional run-out at striker). Also, RVP is an injury waiting to happen, while who knows what Eduardo can offer when he returns from injury, so it might not be the best idea to ship out a guy who can play in the PL now...

Another heartless performance again today in the Champions League. I'm really starting to lose patience with this team. If I felt like everyone was giving 110% on the pitch every game would be different.

cant see Simpson being wanted by WBA(maybe someone else wants him on loan) there trying to get the best guy possible, but your right about RVP which is a shame because he's got the potential to be World Class if he plays regular enough. Where only going to know about Eduardo when he plays physically i think he'll be fine Its a hard crunching tackle on a CB I want to see

and on a side note how many times did Eboue lose possesion last night and then throw his arms in the air in disgust at his team mates for not getting the ball

              The answer is 9!!!!!

Normally I would agree, but they had already qualified and you could tell even Wenger didn't care, running Bendtner as the lone striker with 5 mids, which was a recipe for disaster from the start. I think he was more concerned with saving guys for this Saturday.

However, I don't like to see the team seemingly not care about games. It doesn't bother me too much, but at least field a competitive formation.

weve played 1 up front and 5 in midfield for 3 years now away from home? everytime daiby, hleb and even back to freddy played as a second striker weve had 5 in midfield

The idea that the team does nt care is pretty daft aswell, these kids are playing for there futures simply put the game was very disjointed arsenal were unable to keep possesion because of sloppy passing, not playing together and failing to keep there shape plus Porto worked there nuts off pressing the ball very uneuropean

No width on the left Dennilson (played out of position again)plays inside all the time( he even over lapped Ramsey on the right once lol and hes the left winger) denilson last four games he started left wing right wing right wing cen mid- thats tough for steven gerrard to look good doing that
Silveste cant play left back anymore as was obvious on the 2nd goal does nt have the legs to support attacks and defend. terrible defending to not close off the goal and to not sprint from the get go
Ramsey isnt strong enought at play at this level yet(he's 17) but has a lovely eye for a pass
Diaby im warming to yes he was wasteful in possesion but a number of times he was pressed by two player s and kept possesion hes got excellent quick feet
Denilson i cant tell yet some good a lot of bad but he reminsds me so much of Flamini the 2nd year he was here before he played 30 games as a left back, an inch slow to a tackle just losing possesion just under hitting or over hitting the pass just a little late on everything if he developes and all that clicks as it did for flamini (and cesc though he was 17 when he looked world class lol) then watch out
Bendtner isnt going to make it ! he will be taking over for Ali Aldier at Midlesboro start of next year and end up with 8 goals in 30 games( or somesuch team)
and Song may have become the teams defensive midfielder

The scary thing is I think Wiltshire could start in the prem, i love this kid no attitude at all looks like hes 12 yet every time he gets the ball his head is up and hes looking for a pass if its not there then he recycles the ball does nt try 87 step overs and back heel flicks. last guy who floated arround the first team at 16 was cesc and hes turned out ok

This team needs some veteran leadership. Its as simple as that. They need someone to whip there butts in gear when things get tough. This group of players have looked disinterested in way too many games this year for my liking.

Arsene needs to realize that you're not going to win any EPL titles with a team this young. It seems like every year Arsene trots out an even younger team. He's going to be trotting a team for of 16 year olds out before you know it.

Everyone talks about how by playing all of these kids it makes it more likely that they will want to play for him in the future. But what good is it going to do to get a young stud away from a Barcelona if you're just gonna end up selling him back once he hits his prime.

I didn't say the young guys didn't care. I meant Wenger didn't care about the outcome as they had already qualified.

And about the formation I was saying that having Bendtner as a lone striker is a recipe for disaster.

I agree with your points here. Leadership helps teams not play to the level of their competition. Arsenal is slowly becoming Tottenham IMO. They play well against the good/great teams and poorly against teams like Middlesborough and Stoke. Very frustrating.

If they can't find a leader, how about a player or two that have won any a Cup? UCL, EPL, or anything. These young guys need to be surrounded by winners. The team has no swagger and they seem to lack confidence when they should win.

I am sick of Gallas. Absolutely sick. He pushed up all game and Middlesbrough sent long pass after long pass to whomever decided to take advantage of Gallas's foolish offensive runs and the pass-receiver would magically find themselves behind the Arsenal defense. This needs to stop.
