I think it's slowly starting to be revealed that Wenger isn't the only issue. He's simply the face of the board, thus he gets all the wrath from supporters.

I don't think he'd ever quit, so that option is out and I don't think they'd ever sack him, as he's pretty much untouchable at this point in his career.

There are much bigger issues at this club than just the manager, and at this point I'd say he's the only thing keeping this ship from sinking. By sinking, I mean finishing in 6-7th place and losing even more quality players.

Arsene can't quit. We'd all miss the water bottle spike after a defensive lapse too much. He's got the trajectory down perfectly.

I actually prefer when he side-foots it. It's more rare.

I don't see any reason why they would fire him. He is a greedy owners dream.

All we know is someone is lying. Whether it be Arsene, who says we don't have any money or the board who says we have money and Arsene just won't spend.

I just have a hard time believing that Arsene thinks this team is good enough. I think he would have bought in better players this Summer if he was given the money.

Wenger has actually done a decent job this year. I can see Arsenal finishing 6 or 7 no problem. They lose RVP they're at best middle of the table next year. Tough to compete for Top 4 if you won't spend. Fans will be fans I can't see anyone from London switching allegiance to another local club can you?

Most people in England are very loyal to their local and childhood clubs. What they need to worry about losing is the international fanbase. The club will lose a ton of fans if they start finishing mid table. You can count on that.

Maybe. Arsenal is the only team that has their games repeated in my area via the Yes Channel the Yankees network. They have another show called Arsenal World too on Yes. You guys are more in touch with football than I am as I just started following it last season so maybe they would lose some international support I do not know. Man U is big internationally too right? Any others with large int following other than Barca and Real?

Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City (now that they have all that Cash), Inter, AC Milan, Juventus, and Bayern Munich along with the teams you mentioned are generally considered the world biggest clubs.

Also, it now seems that Arsenal is now worth 1 billion dollars. Yet we can't outspend Stoke City.

Precisely. I wonder if the board realizes that winning and being relevant are integral to expanding further out into the Asian and African markets.

Manchester United is such a strong brand because they've consistently won and are always relevant, not because at one point they were good and it just carried over into years of mediocrity and mid-table finishes.

There won't be any Arsenal repeats or an Arsenal World if the Gunners start finishing mid-table. Fulham over the years has had several members of the USMNT, but you don't seen a Fulham World. Or an Everton World. Or an Aston Villa World. Or...you get my point.

After surgery, I'm sure he is.

I've decided to not even watch the game live tomorrow. Usually I plan completely around games. However, after our recent performances, I decided I'll just download it later in the day. Not worth making a top priority considering the state we're in.

Just a flat performance. They look at best like a mid table team now and I think they have a rough stretch coming up.
