Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***

Lots of chatter about current and possibly future Gunners today. 11 days for Wenger to get several moves finished.

He wasn't really doing so well on the left side for Germany in the euros. He did not seem involved enough. He should be playing in the middle.

That has always been my problem with Poldoski since his Bayern days, it was always his lack of interest of getting involved in play. He really doesn't like to do much defensive work and tends to drift in and out of games. Hopefully we do get the best out of him up front but I think I would prefer Giroud in the middle because I really like his movements, but maybe Wenger should finally change his current formation since most the players he built it around are gone.

I'll take Fellani from Everton to replace RVP.

Well, now Rennes have confirmed there were three bids for M'Vila (Zenit, Tottenham, and Arsenal). I hope Arsene can persuade him to come to Arsenal.

Pretty sick of the games they're playing. First. Bid from England, now listing the teams. They're worse than The Daily Mail.

Agreed, I'd love to have him at Arsenal. I doubt we'd ever get him as he'd be expensive and not necessarily a guaranteed starter, but still... Got a gorgeous first touch, really impressive ball control and short passing, and some serious size and heading ability. He'd plug a lot of holes in our squad, as I'd say he's capable of playing in all three of our midfield spots plus maybe even center forward. Plus he'd add a bit of muscle and grit that we lost with Song's departure.

Fellaini's hair alone is worth it.

I thought AVB said they pulled out of the M'Villa race?

Here is the story i read from ESPN:

Yeah, he did, but they likely made a bid before AVB said they were dropping out. My guess is that Rennes is hoping another club comes swooping in with a higher bid because they're discouraged at only receiving offers from 3 clubs (probably low-ball offers).

I don't see Wenger paying more than 12m euros for him.

I could see us going a bit higher.

Hoping for some transfer news soon. No one will arrive before Stoke, but it would be nice to know./

Looks like the Sahin deal is done. Season-long loan with option to buy for 14 million next Summer. Also, Arshavin likely gone and could M'Vila deal be close?

Arsenal’s move for Nuri Sahin has gone through after stalling over a £14m buy-out clause if they decide to make his loan deal permanent next summer.

Here's a bizarre story for ya. Andre Santos tries to evade cops by going 130mph in his Maserati GranTurismo supercar. He could be facing prison.
