The million dollar question is whether he will spend on proven talent, instead of unknown youth. From what I have read, it looks like Henry won't be making another loan stint.

I just finished reading Arsènal: The Making of a Modern Superclub. Fantastic read, especially for someone who is a relatively new fan.

I could be wrong, but I thought Arsene already stated in a press conference that Henry was not coming back.

I think if we do spend, it'll be on proven talent. I don't see Arsene buying unknown youth in January.

The issue is if Arsene will find the "bargains" or "deals" that are necessary for him to pull the trigger.

Your right, I read in multiple places he won't be coming back.

The Arsenal manager, Arsène Wenger, has ruled out the possibility of Thierry Henry returning to Arsenal for a second loan spell claiming the striker 'is not ready'

Big Sam has taken Chamakh off your hands for the rest of the season.

I'd like to know how much of his wages they're paying.

Hopefully he does well enough that they end up buying him.

Also, this could mean we're seriously looking at bringing in a striker. While Chamakh didn't even make the bench that often, he still added "depth". So, Arsene will most likely want to replace it.

              Djourou to Hannover on loan.

Why does Wenger still play Ramsey on the wing?

Excellent question. It's obvious that Ramsey doesn't perform on either side, he is a central mid and just looks lost out on the sides. I would rather see Wallcott on the left/right and Oxlade-Chamberlain on the opposite side to Walcott. Maybe throw Rosicky in the mix. Wouldn't mind if Wenger gave Cazorla and Ramsey the central mid-field duties... Ox on one side Rosicky on the other and let Giroud and Walcott run around up top. Something!!

But our back four are painful to watch sometimes... doesn't seem to matter what four are in there. [Mertesacker must win balls in the box. <-- period Or he doesn't need to be on the pitch.]

Gibbs had a heck-of-a game, after his less than stellar Southampton outing.

I feel Sagna has been mediocre for a few weeks now, especially the game against Southampton. I could see Jenkinson getting a recall soon.

I was thinking the same thing. Sagna was never the fastest player, but he's definately been looking past his prime out there. Teams are constantly attacking Arsenal from his side of the pitch. That clear out against Southampton that lead to the second goal, was horrendous. Hopefully he just needs some rest, then he'll be back to his old self. Tho, after Arsenal resigned Jenkinson, the writing was kind of on the wall for Wenger to sell him in the summer transfer window. He's been linked to Juve for the past couple seasons.

I'm hoping for the best against Man City. But when your having this much trouble against likes of Southampton, Swansea and Wigan, wait until you Man City comes to town. That Aguero and Dzeko partnership is deadly.
Sometimes you gotta' stand by your failures to recognize your success.

Sagna looked the way he did on on Sunday due to having ZERO help from Walcott.

Watch that whole game, and count how many times we actually attack down the right flank. Hardly any at all. Why? Walcott refused to stay out wide, thus leaving Sagna to move up and down the entire side on his own.

It wasn't that he played poor, he was just dead tired from covering Theo's *** all day.

Sagna is still one of the most consistent players on the side. Far more than Gibbs. While Gibbs had a great game, don't be surprised if he costs us a few goals the next time he's out there.

With diaby playing 65 minutes in a reserve game and walcott on the verge on signing his new deal. These are the "two new signings" wenger was talking about. Dont get your hopes up of any experienced players coming in. Hope I'm wrong though

I still think we sign at least one experience player. Especially with Chamakh and Djourou both leaving.

Yeah we definitely need to sign at least one. It's really discouraging seeing players like Ba get snapped up due to another club meeting their release clause, because those are instances where this is absolutely no reason Wenger shouldn't have at least made an offer, especially amidst all the reports that the Arsenal board is actually keen to spend money this window.

The source is only The Sun, but it is suggesting that Arsene Wenger wants to send Jenkinson out on loan to play every week for the remainder of the season. It says that Jenkinson has already rejected an offer from Crystal Palace.

Diaby is starting, Santos is on the bench.
