It was a perfect tackle, and Pulis knows this. We've got yet another instance of Pulis defending his players' dirty behavior when there is no defense.

The FA is apparently considering whether to charge Owen or not. I doubt it will happen, but if it does, I can't wait to hear Pulis's excuse then.

Read an article in Four Four Two they did a piece on the Wenger/Arsenal Way(You can probably still find it at your local Barnes and Noble) they Interviewed, Wenger, Gazidis and essentially they are banking on Financial Fair Play to compete. "2014-2015 is the year."
Don't you EVER read my blog? It's gotten a lot better.

Teams are already working around/finding loopholes in Financial Fair Play. If the Arsenal brass really believe Financial Fair Play is going to be a savior for the club, then they're incredibly naive. Thankfully I think they're smart enough to know it's not a rule we can rely on.

While its stupid of us to depend on FFP to make us competitive, I actually still believe it will be enforced.

Why is that? So far, UEFA is not backing down.

Uefa has warned Man City and Paris Saint–Germain they will rigorously scrutinise their huge sponsorship deals to ensure they comply with financial fair play

Last year, two English clubs would not have passed. UEFA has called out Man City and PSG, telling them they can not "cheat" their revenue gain.

"Infantino insisted City's deal with Etihad, which will deliver more than £400m over 10 seasons, and Paris Saint-Germain's jaw-dropping deal with the Qatar Tourism Authority, which will deliver up to €200m per season, would be rigorously scrutinised to ensure they were fair."

Problem is, if they are scrutinized and deemed fair, then things don't change.

I'm still not giving up on them yet. The issue is not going to just go away, especially if the rules are in place.

If the rules are in place and its clear clubs are finding a way around them, I can see UEFA amending them to insure they do have an effect.

Well, I hope you're right, as that would be huge for Arsenal. Provided they actually spend money of course, which is a road of discussion we fans have been down thousands of times.

I'm sure if FFP was indeed enforced (which I highly doubt) I'm sure the club would just come up with another reason why they can't spend money.

I've landed on gold. I just subscribed to this thread. I totally agree with the previous post. Arsenal and Arsene refuse to spend money. I wish they would. I think we need another striker. Not sure who. I like Lacina Traore. Anyone hear any rumors?

Villa seems to be the new hot rumor now. Which means it has about a 5% chance of actually happening.

With all the talk in January, and most reports saying Arsenal were ready to pay and Barelona didn't want to sell...I wouldn't be surprised if he came this Summer.

I also would not be surprised if he did not come this Summer.

While I appreciate the fact that Arsenal doesn't do this, I would not feel the least bit remorseful if every day from now until the summer transfer window ends a different Arsenal player came out and said to the press that Villa should play for Arsenal, his heart just isn't in it at Barca, etc. They can draw names out of a hat to determine the order in which they speak to the press.

id rather us buy song back personally or look at a capable defensive midfield and of course sell off all the dead weight.

Song can rot in Spain for all I care. There are much better options out there.

If it was between him and nobody, I'd gladly take him back. Although, Arteta has settled into that role rather nicely.

didn't he say that was surprised being sold to barca when he didnt even want to leave ? or something to that effect.
