Don't forget about Arteta when he comes back.

Some new quotes from Arsene Wenger, "We have two players in every position and that should be basically enough plus the young players we have in behind. But if we find top class players we will never refuse to strengthen our squad."

        Very disapointing news

Arsene says the same things at the same time every year.

Squad gets smaller by the day and yet Arsene sticks to his guns about not signing anyone. I don't understand. Does he really consider Squillaci and Arshavin legit options at this point?

                  He could always recall Denilson.

I thought santos played brilliantly today......
But really is there a worse player in the league?

Both goals were gave up were the result of incredibly poor defending.

The second was poor marking, but the first was that plus Szczesny. He still might be the future keeper of this club, but he's not good enough right now.

Giroud, as expected, has really started to find his place up front. That spot should now be his, no questions asked. He has the physical presence that we need up there.

Would've been nice if it was not so close, but we're through. Hopefully the draw is friendly to us tomorrow.

United, away. Cause that's what the FA does.

Noooo. We lose to United in the final with Mike Dean as the referee.

Santos is a complete waste of space right now. He's out of shape and just lolly-gags it around the pitch. Then Gibbs comes on and, unsurprisingly, makes a huge difference. Given the way Santos has played, Gibbs had better beat the odds and stay healthy the rest of the way.

Why isn't Arsene buying anyone in January? Well, he doesn't think this transfer window should even exist.

Regardless of how we feel, if you remove yourself from the situation, he makes a good point. Teams can sign many, many new players, and then teams who then face that team could be facing a very different squad than other clubs were able to before the window.

You can argue that its no different than players being injured or healthy, but there is a difference, as they're bringing more in, etc.

I wish we'd sign someone, but we can never be surprised when these are Arsene's thoughts.

Warren Barton just ripped Santos a new one during half time. He pretty much said he's a player who doesn't care. He won't run 10 meters to pick someone up, but he'll sprint across the pitch to get RVP's shirt!
