Flamini could work as a holding midfielder if Ramsey is next to him. Flamteta is just no, not good enough. We're not even August yet so don't panic, still got a month left to sign a DM. Besides, the big signing ITK's are talking about won't be a loan for a 3rd gk or a 4th CB, I expect more signings.

A lot of smoke that Arsene might have 1-2 big transfers still to come. We are already in good shape. If he adds more world class talent then we could be ready for a heck of a run.

Ideally Diaby, Flamini, and Arteta should be able to give us 60 games this season, but I don't see it. Diaby maybe gives us 10-15, Flamini is a card machine and will miss a lot of matches due to yellows and reds, plus isn't technical enough to link our great back line with the strong attack and Arteta just gets manhandled against physical and elite sides. All of them bring things that our needed, but are lacking in critical components that we have to have if we wanna win the league. Ideally, Rambo and Flamini is the partnership I like. Go back and watch the Napoli game at home and see. Scary good stuff, but we need that at City and at Chelsea. Flamini can't give us that week in and week out and takes too many silly fouls which gets him booked.

I agree with most of this, but I don't think you can rely on Diaby for even 10 games. Which is unfortunate, because I do think he has some real quality.

Arsenal are clear to sign Portuguese defensive midfielder William Carvalho after his club Sporting Lisbon put him up for sale.

Carvalho would be a good signing much much more of a pure DMF than Khedira.

West Ham have signed Arsenal right-back Carl Jenkinson on a season-long loan deal. The 22-year-old has been allowed to leave the Emirates following the arrival of Calum Chambers and Mathieu Debuchy.

Jenko off to West Ham on loan. I really hope he plays well and gets to come back and contribute to the squad. He has so many good qualities including so amazing passing skills. Hopefully Big Sam can coach him up on being more disciplined. You won't find the back of the net with Big Sam, but you will defend.

Arsenal are set to sign Colombian sensation Juan Fernando Quintero with the Porto player reportedly set to fly to London to complete the transfer.

Looks like we have a new signing boys: Juan Fernando Quintero looks like he'll be joining us. I guess than means Santi is gone to Atletico Madrid then. Damn, it's been a great summer, it'll suck if we just let Santi walk after he just signed a contract extension and a raise.

This is great for him. I'm assuming he'll get first team football, learn to be a better defender, and come back to Arsenal stronger.

With Debuchy as old as he is, it's clear that Jenko might have a future at the club.

I don't see Santi being sold, maybe loaned out at worst. However Quintero seems like it would be a good signing, he has a solid left foot shot from what I seen of him. Arsenal is going to be overloaded with AMF at this point.

Santi said he wants to stay and is focused on winning more trophies at Arsenal, so I don't think he'll be sold. If the Quintero thing happens, I would bet Quintero would go out on loan to gain more experience. We'll see, but I would be surprised if Santi was wearing an Atletico jersey next season.

So Gerrard said Suarez was too good for Arsenal. I like Wenger's reply to that <b/><i/>"You’re never too good for Arsenal and Steven Gerrard knows that," said the Gunners boss.

"But I can understand completely that he asked him to stay because he wanted him [Suarez] to play with him and have a chance to win the Premier League.

‘But it didn’t happen, and anyway, Suarez left."<b><i>

Yeah that rumor spread like a wildfire fast. Even goonerblog and Arsecast were talking about. I like Quintero, but damn we don't need anymore attacking mids...
