looks like we may be very close to getting Solomon Kalou from Chelsea. not a HUGE move by any means, but it would definitely make us deeper in the midfield.

I actually think we're in better shape than in the last couple of weeks. Of course I remain concerned about our defense, but if they can just play well enough not to cost us games, I'm optimistic the attacking brand of football we play will help.

I hate Silvestre and Song is best used IMHO as a holding midfielder. If the reports are indeed true about Kalou (which I think they are), I would be happy to see him at Arsenal. He's versatile and does strengthen our midfield especially if one of Rosicky, Cesc, or Arshavin go down.

Ha, looks like you jinxed us. Rosicky has a hamstring injury and may miss the first month of the season.

FFS. I spoke too soon lol. But if the Kalou report is true, that would lessen the blow for sure

Last I heard, it's still a rumor. Which just means my fingers are crossed, even though I'm sure it's true.

As we get closer to the season, I can't help but feel better than I did last year. What Wenger said about treating Rosicky and Eduardo as new signings is true.

Even though Rosicky may now be out a bit, we have Eduardo back up front. As far as I'm concerned, lossing Adebayor is fine due to getting back Eduardo.

Plus, could Wilshere fill in the midfield due to an injury to Rosicky? Something tells me yes.

Arsenal been drawn with Celtic in the Champion's League playoff round. Should be a good tie.

Wenger really needs to bring in another midfielder. I wouldn't mind seeing more of Wilshere, but I don't think he's ready to be "the guy" just yet.

I'm very confident we'll see someone come in this week. Rosicky and Nasri both being out almost forces him now. Not to mention, a center backl would still be great.

                        Hopefully it's an interesting week.

We got a big tie coming out in the CL Celtic is always a team that you Dont wanna play against especially when they play at home, every BIG european club have struggled at celtic park, but it should be a good tie.

yep I hope with the 50million we get somthing this week, and while rosicky and nasri both injured now, we have NO choice.

Even with our 2-0 defeat at valencia, it was good game for us, we created some opportunitys and walcott have 2 great chances that he didnt convert playin as a striker, I was impress.

oh well guess we will see what happen this weekend with fixture one at everton ahah.

Unless Barca makes a huge bid, Cesc isn't going anywhere - at least not this season anyway. My gut feeling is that he stays one more season at Arsenal and moves to Barca next summer. He's always said he wants to go back to Spain and if Ramsey, Wilshere, Merida etc. develop as they should, Wenger might let him go

Of course I want him to stay and hope he says he will, but I'm assuming worst case scenario.

I don't think Fabregas is going anywhere this season. They've said they will not break the bank to bring him in, and I think thats what it would take. They way they're talking about it reminds me far too much of Madrid, which just shows Barca are changing their tune about spending big, etc.
