Yeah, that's why I said "I wish he would have been here from the start". I'm not blaming Wenger for that as he couldn't have possibly have known Coq was going to be our linchpin. Wenger still needs to buy a DM but it should be someone who can play next to Coq aswell as in his position, reason for that is with Ramsey and Wilshere being so injury prone we need another option. Say we get Khedira or Schneiderlin, we could play a midfield of Khedira/Schneiderlin and Coq in tough away games where we'll be under pressure.

Yeah, so do I. I believe Wenger will do this too, seeing he's finished here at the end of his contract he'll probably try to finish on a high. Our squad is getting better each year and if we splash some cash this summer we might be able to finally compete for the title again. Did anybody else get emotional last night after we finally beat United at the toilet?Comment

Coquelin has been a revelation this season, but we still should go after Schinderlein or Javi Martinez (provided he's healthy). Coq has been awesome defensively, but see the Spurs game and see how when he got put under pressure his distribution wasn't good enough and lost the ball too much. We need an all around midfielder who can tackle, be physical, shield the backline, distribute the ball to the wings and be confident on the ball to pair in that deeper role with Santi/Jack/Ramsey.
Also, along with Flamini, Diaby and Podolski being out, I really think Theo may join them at the exits. Arsene really trusts Danny over Theo because of the work rate and defensive contributions and Theo is having a tough time cracking the 11 now."If you have a linebacker on him, you might as well start singing their fight song." -- WSU coach Bill Doba on Reggie Bush

The guys at the pub I was at did yesterday. I wasn't emotional, but it sure felt good to banish some of those demons since 2006. Gotta build on this however. I felt we have been sluggish since that great performance at the Etihad. Can't give away points this weekend against West Ham, when they are struggling and Spuds go to United and probably will draw and Southampton probably dropping points at Chelsea. Gotta get some breathing space from the rest of the pack.

Tactical reasons, he wanted someone who was going to contribute more on the defensive side, Theo hasn't really been providing that since he came back from injury.Last edited by RoyceDa59; 03-13-2015, 09:25 AM.Comment

I'm hoping now that pretty much every other attacking player is doing much better at it, that Theo also will now when he starts.Comment

Hands down the best Ramsey performance I've seen since the Galatasaray match. And Walcott Shows again why it's hard to put him on the pitch. He left Calum exposed time and time again. I thought Kosc was incredible for you guys today. He pretty much sniffed out every through ball. He's probably the best covering CB in the league. It's a shame Per leaves him caught out a lot and he's surrounded by young inexperienced albeit promising fullbacks.Comment

Not all of those isolations were on Per however. Chambers was getting whipped down the right side and leaving acres of space behind him. Chambers and Per, just don't work together as a RB-CB tandem. If we were playing a better finishing team like y'all, we would have been burned repeatedly."If you have a linebacker on him, you might as well start singing their fight song." -- WSU coach Bill Doba on Reggie Bush

Yup, unfortunate that Per kept leaving him on an island. That's why Gabriel will more than likely be the other CB with Kos whenever he's healthy. Or we will go into the market again for another CB. We do lose something with the heading quality, and I think many teams will really try hammering us with long looping balls like Palace did against us.
