Wasn't aware that offering a counterpoint is the equivalent to making an opinion unwelcome.

The man should and will have a statue outside of the Emirates in the next few years. I'd throw in some money to help cast the damn thing. That doesn't mean I can't be frustrated, show that frustration, and be emotional about the club that I love.

Again, no one said he shouldn't move on. He shoul. But not because the "game has passed him by" or he's unprepared. He tried to sit back a bit vs. Liverpool and it didn't work. He put Giroud in not only because of Sanchez's attitude but let's face it, Liverpool is trash on set pieces. It made sense but it didn't work. Give credit that Liverpool is just a damn good squad.

Look, as an outsider looking in, Wenger and Arsenal are the reason I even started watching soccer(well that and satellite TV).

I'm kind of bummed that he's probably going to move on this year and seeing some of the vitriol coming from Arsenal supporters for a guy who did so much for his team EVERY time Arsenal struggles is not cool. But since it's obvious other opinions aren't allowed here, I'll just watch and be quiet going forward.
I would agree with you if we could actually compete with Chelsea, City, Bayern, Barca, etc. By compete, I would say 50/50 win loss rate against them. Yet we consistently lose to top tier teams like them. Its not like we are experiencing these things in a bubble and are just having a kneejerk reaction to it. Its also not just the fans, look at what former players are saying as well.

You should voice your opinion even if its not the popular one.

I swear, the first half team and the second half team looked completely different.

Everyone thinks it's great when drawn against a non-league side, because it'll be easy. However, the risk of injury increases exponentially.

The amount of horrid tackles against Sutton and Lincoln City is proof of this. I don't care about the underdog narrative once players not only publicly state before games they'll deal with a player by "smashing them", and when they attempt to do this during the game.

The way pundits laugh off these challenges as a proper tackle or some other nonsense makes it even worse.

Thugs trying to make a name for themselves, or losing their head while being frustrated nearly caused several injuries over both games.

I'd rather see Arsenal play a group of professionals, despite the harder difficulty. At least the chance of cheap shots and tackles which aim to injure would be more rare.

Hoping that scoreline is an indication that the boys have woken up.

Obviously I'm aware that it was against a non-league side but hopefully this victory will breed confidence.

Side note, Ramsey, Giroud, and Lucas were awful IMO.

Ramsey's shooting is shockingly poor, and some of Giroud's misses today, my goodness. I think Lucas was just trying too hard to get on the score sheet lol...

Ramsey and Giroud had absolute shockers today.

As you eluded to, Ramsey shooting is something of the past it would seem, I don't know if he struck a shot or long ball cleanly all night. Giroud was ineffective and the goals he got were more because of other people than they were his own doing. I don't have much to say about Lucas other than he should've gotten a yellow for his dive in the box.

Wenger blaming the pitch when we conceded two goals off of corners....

                    yeah, this needs to end.

If anyone was surprised by that result, I don't know what to tell you.

Same ****, different year, again and again.

Apparently Arsene said he's made his decision on whether to stay or not. Shouldn't be his to make at this point.

Wenger has had a lot of success at Arsenal most of it years ago but how a manager can dictate to the board whether he continues or not is beyond me. The team looks shot a change is most definitely in order there. Top 4 every year is something most teams would take but with the money they spend every year you have to go further than round of 16 in Champions League.

Arsene even interviewed his own boss, Gazidis.

Looking at the results so far today...yeah, we're not finishing in the top four.

                            Two things:

                            1) As Kreb said, why is this his decision? What other club has the pathetic display we've had yet still "allow" the manager to decide if he's going to return? Surely this can't be really how it is behind the scenes...

                            2) This MCI/LIV game is refreshing. To see 2 clubs that actually give a crap about the result.

Ready for a new era at Arsenal Football Club...

Lots of talk about Arsene signing a new deal. Unless it's clearly stated that this is part of a transition period for the club, and that this is meant to be Arsene's final time with the club...I'll be far beyond upset.

This is of course not surprising, though. Him not staying would be the actual surprise.

The players are starting to look like they're done playing for him, and it seems the club is just waiting for the "right time" to announce it, which will be after our next league win (not sure when that's happening).

I think he is definately going to be gone. I was reading somewhere that they are trying to hire a real general manager or football director or whatever they call it over there. Hell i wouldn't even mind if wenger took that position, we could argue that he would still be a penny pincher, but I really think other managers could do more with his teams then he currently can.
