Considering I doubt Mourinho sells us Cech, although I hope he does, I'm saying in the end, match day 1, Muslera is in goal.Comment

Arsenal have made a £25.7 million bid for Monaco midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia, according to Calciomercato (h/t Jamie Sanderson of the Metro).
Rumors on Kondogbia bid submitted from us. I like him, but I'd still say Schniderlain is the better option since he is already a French international and already has EPL experience.
And I call BS on the Vidal rumors. No chance he moves since Pogba is leaving.Last edited by cdawg44; 06-04-2015, 05:27 PM."If you have a linebacker on him, you might as well start singing their fight song." -- WSU coach Bill Doba on Reggie Bush

Arsenal are reportedly free to pursue Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech during the summer transfer window, as the Daily Telegraph's Matt Law reports the Blues will allow the veteran to move to a direct Premier League rival.

I'd take Jackson Martinez, even though Giroud has been good, I think it'd put us a step ahead.Comment

It's been more than a week since Arsenal lifted their second FA Cup trophy in as many seasons. But it was the sight of the two men who raised the silverware that lingers in the memory as a significant image.

But then I realize it's entirely the right thing, and something I wish we would've done countless other times. You want to leave? You can leave, but you're leaving England.
I'll never forget selling United 26 league goals in the form of RVP on their way to another title.Comment

Well, with all the comments from players cropping up, we at least know a deal for Cech is being discussed. Here's Rosicky with further confirmation: http://news.arseblog.com/2015/06/ros...ech-situation/
Krebstar, I agree in theory, but RVP was our star striker at the top of his game who wrote that classless letter on his website, blindsiding the team. Cech, on the other hand, has been nothing but a devoted servant to Chelsea who has lost his place in the starting 11. He hasn't acted like a brat ala Nasri or RVP. Cech is a club legend who has given so much to Chelsea, and if he wants to stay in England Mourinho should respect his wishes. It's what I would want Arsenal to do. But I fully agree that we should have told RVP where to stick his Man Utd. transfer desires and sent him to Italy.Comment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
RVP and Cech are different as Nomar said only because one couldn't wait to get out of town once he had the leverage and the other simply wants to play regularly and couldn't do it at the club he loves. Cech would never have decided to leave if Courtois was never around to unsurp him.
I get why Jose wouldn't want him to go to Arsenal. We're not that far off from challenging them and getting Cech would further narrow the gap.Comment

Didn't we have the same complications with Di Maria before he went to Benfica. If Arsenal or any top club wants you, I feel that gives enough merit to earn a working visa in that country.Comment

At the end of the day stuff happens. Thing is Messi and Ronaldo would have gone to Spain regardless of who signed them.
At the end of the day, I focus on who we did sign and how Wenger never has to worry about buying homegrown players because we always meet the requirements. Wilshere, Gibbs, Ox, Ramsey, Walcott, and Szczesny all qualify as players we developed. Add in Welbeck, Chambers, and our other youth and we're laughing. There's a reason we can go after foreign players and not worry about quotas.Comment
