Campbell has been fantastic and has really taken his chance in the starting 11 well. It reminds me of what Coquelin did last season, a guy not expected to contribute (and in Coq's case he was out on loan) thrust into a starting role thanks to injury. If Campbell keeps this up, Wenger's going to have a selection headache when all his wingers are fit. But this is Arsenal, and the club's players are made of paper mache, so I don't think we'll have to worry about all the wingers being fit at the same time.

On a serious note, John Cross from the Mirror thinks we're going after Wanyama in the January window. I think we need someone who can shield our back 4 and allow Ramsey to go forward. With Coq out, we need this guy or Carvalho. As with our wingers, the central midfielders are made of 1-ply toilet paper. We could use the depth.
Let's face it, Flamini is slow, Arteta is slow and also not a ball winning type. When fit, it's Cazorla, Coquelin, Ramsey, and Wilshere who Wenger would look to. Other than Coq, the rest aren't known for their defense.Comment

Top of the table!! Top top qualiteeee!
Fun fact: Giroud 3rd fastest in Arsenal history to 50 PL goals. Who are 1 and 2?
Number 2 is some guy named Ian Wright and number 1 is Henry. Not bad company.

Nice and easy 3 points. Can't complain. Now on to City next Monday at the Emirates!! Sadly no Alexis Arsene has said. But Alexis, Wilshere and Welbeck should be ready around New Years and little after. Hopefully they are ready for the trip to Anfield January 11th."If you have a linebacker on him, you might as well start singing their fight song." -- WSU coach Bill Doba on Reggie Bush

It was so predictable that we'd get Barca in the round of 16Support Local Sports

I'd rather face them now than get through and face them later. If we're ever going to win that trophy, we're going to have to beat them, or a team at their level, over two legs.
I'd rather just have them first up, have a go at them, and if it doesn't work out we move on and focus on what we can win this year, which is a domestic double.Comment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
Agreed. They're not the same Barca and we're not the same Arsenal. I know it will be an uphill battle, but I we have some quality as well. Injuries are going to be an issue, for better or worse. Besides, we got a "good" matchup with Monaco last year and we all know what happened.
Hopefully we will be better motivated to play BarcaComment
