    Understatement.

Worst half I've ever seen in my 2.5 years of following.

Gabriel and Ramsey were shockingly poor. Özil looked like he couldn't be bothered and Alexis was poor too. HT couldn't come quickly enough.

They'll probably come out guns blazing and win 3-1 at Chelsea

And then draw 1-1 with Hull City at home the following week.

It must be incredibly frustrating being an Arsenal fan.

Not so much anymore, it's all business as usual. Also no way do we get a result against Chelsea.

Yes and no. Frustrating because the potential is there, and this squad is capable of winning the league if you look at the talent it possesses. I still think it's 100% mental, and that comes down to management and the staff.

Far too often the players don't see ready to play. They seem incapable of adapting on the field. They don't know how to cope with repeated instances of being pressed defensively.

For years Arsenal and former Arsenal players have stated that they never train for the opposition, only on what they do as a team. The players have a responsibility to show up, but the management has a responsibility to prepare the team, and it often seems that it's not done.

So, it's frustrating, but not, because it's nothing new. We'll qualify for the CL, which despite jokes is an impressive streak when you look at how the other big teams have not been able to do that, and have not been as consistent. The problem is that the other big teams (United, City, Chelsea) have also all won the title while we were just being consistent.

Arsene's contract expires in the Spring, and it's seeming more and more likely that he'll go, which could mean Ozil and Sanchez going as well. Ozil has stated that Arsene's future weighs heavily on his decision, but perhaps if a move is made quickly in terms of management, we can convince those two to stay.

But for now we just have to worry about not being embarrassed on Saturday by the likely title winners, who themselves are being lead by the manager of the season.

You think they would have some sort of manager in waiting for this particular situation. Knowing this club, when Wenger leaves, they are going to wait for the last minute to sign a coach at the lowest possible contract available.

I actually think (and perhaps it's just blind hope) that it's something the club will be very prepared for, and I think that comes down to Arsene. Once he knows, I think he'll push for a swift resolution to begin to occur.

The issue is when will he know? Does he know right now that it's his last season? Will he sign a new 2-3 year contract?

I wouldn't be surprised either way right now, honestly. I could see Arsene telling the club he's leaving and the club preparing to make to make contact, or I could see Arsene signing up for a few more years.

If I had to place money on it right now...I think it's his last year. I feel like he would've signed and made it public by this point if he was staying.

Oh geez, I don't even want to get into naming names. I'd honestly love a top, proven manager, even if it's only for two years. To avoid any kind of dip in whatever consistency we've had, I think we need someone to help us transition.

Arsene has his hands in every single aspect of running the club. Which is also why I think the future plan has already been worked on. There's no way that Arsene hasn't thought "how will this work when I leave" many times in the past few years.

Is it possible he doesn't manage the club next year but stays on in some upper management/consultation role where he can play a role in the transition? That seems like a logical change. You guys would know better than me if he has any interest in that.

I think it's very possible he doesn't leave entirely, and if he stays I think it would be very much only for transition.

I don't see him staying and worrying about transfers or anything like that, as I don't think he'd want to interfere with the next manager.

He has so much power there and is unlike any any other manager/club situation in the league that it will be interesting and scary to witness.

One thing for sure is I don't think anyone will come in and be allowed as much control as he currently has.

Predicted squad for tomorrow (or perhaps hopeful):

Cech, Monreal, Kos, Mustafi, Bellerin, Ox, Coq, Perez, Ozil, Walcott, Alexis.

1-0 this early, yeah that's most likely that.

And now Gabriel coming on? Hahahahahaha. Yeah, there goes our attack.
