That comment about fans as customers is nuts
We're truly ****ed until he sells the club, and that will not be in the near future, at all. He needs it for the value it provides, and to help get funding on a stadium in LA, for example.

The club is just another way for him to make money in his other money making ventures.

Here's one thing that concerns me now, after taking a look at the new look squad through FM:

Right back depth. If Bellerin goes down, there's a huge concern. Chambers isn't a right back, there's enough evidence out there to support that. Debuchy is also was past his prime.

I also still believe we need a true destroyer in the midfield. A reincarnation of Yaya Toure would be nice.

Right back DEPTH? Are you guys still under the impression that Bellerin ISN'T the Spanish Yedlin? He's a very very fast winger that can't cross and occasionally dabbles in defense.

So actually I take that back, he's not the Spanish Yedlin, because Yedlin can actually cross a ball.

You guys aren't just lacking depth at right back, you are lacking a right back.

They hover around the same % cross wise with Bellerin having 5 times the sample size of Yedlin's crosses. Bellerin was good before the stupid hair.

To be fair, Bellerin plays in a much better team than Yedlin.

I do agree that Bellerin was better before his decision to start dabbling in objectively terrible hairstyles and facial hair. I still think he was wildly overhyped though. People talked about him being the next top level fullback.

I think Bellerin may still have some potential, sadly though, I doubt it will be realized at the Emirates. . .

If Ornstein's latest report is true, Bellerin returned from the U21 Euros and told Arsene he wanted to leave for Barcelona, or at least wanted to pursue their interest in him.

They made the right choice in Semedo.

Bellerin has plenty of potential still, but he's definitely not as good as Semedo who is the same age.

Really interested to listen to the Arsecast with Ornstein this morning on my long commute. Will most likely be a storm cloud over me to start the day.

If you haven't listened to this, I highly recommend it. It's soul crushing, but a great listen. It's Ornstein at his most honest, which is great. He's gotten a reputation for being a club spokesman, but this shows once again that if anything he's the best journalist who covers the club.

He has his own opinions, criticizes the club, and clearly has actual sources, and not just a PR team feeding him nonsense.

Alexis is at least putting on a good front that he's willing to get after it in an Arsenal shirt for the next few months...

Curious to see team selection and crowd reaction to him.

We have STILL not seen Alexis, Lacazette, and Özil on the pitch at the same time.

Thoughts on a 4-4-2 diamond? Playing Giroud and Lacazette up top?

                              Nah.

Have faith mate. I know there's no reason in the world to have any--but perhaps the break came just at the right time.

Maybe, just msybe--the boys will show up today, and be selected to play their ACTUAL positions lol.

I leave Xhaka out today. Been very poor so far.

I worry the break didn't help at all. Broke up the squad, while the Bournemouth squad most likely stayed together far more. Have Howe two weeks to prep for this game, where Arsene seems to never do prep for individual games.

It's just set up nicely for Bournemouth to grab their first points, or point of the season.

Or we smash them 3-0. Wouldn't be surprised at all either way.
